My family had a really bad experience at this Cosco yesterday afternoon. The employee at door was so rude to my husband and daughters. My husband and daughters were so excited to visit Cosco for the first time and were looking forward to getting a membership but after this sour experience we are reconsidering our plans. As my husband walked into the store and searched for the customer service desk, the lady shouted out to him "I need your card!" "sir I need your membership card!" my husband was confused as to why she was shouting this to him, and ignored everyone who was walking in and not being questioned, he tried explaining I do not have a card I am a new guest, rather than trying to help him, and oh I don't know maybe guide him to customer service for someone else to help him out, she continues screaming in a very rude way "you can't enter without a card!" She was so rude and unprofessional about her approach to him. My husband was so upset he went over to a manager and explained what happened. The manager's response was "oh I apologize for her being a little too aggressive." Little did my husband know this lady did the same to my teenage daughter who had stayed behind getting a cart. This lady made my daughter remain at the door because she didn't have "a member's card" to let her enter the store. She actually stayed recording this lady at the door letting people walk in and not asking them for their cards. So, yes we felt discriminated because the video clearly shows how this lady was only questioning some people. Horrible customer service! read more

I called ahead to make sure that the had king crab in the freezer to sell. They told me that they have cases available in the freezer. I drove over an hour during rush hours traffic. When I got there, they told me yes, they have them but they can't sell me the case. That is crazy! I wasted 2 hours driving in rush hour for nothing! read more

Who doesn't like Costco?! I don't come that often, but when I do...I like...I like a lot. I dream of being a Joseph that organizes stock in the state of famine and chaos...and Costco looks like my warehouse for those to travel to from near and far. Oh and the samples...yes, we love you. Being from Cali I initially found the indoor food court behind the check out odd, but now it ain't no thang. I've gotten my tires aired here and the guys were pretty awesome. And of course, the gas is a lot cheaper than other stations too. Weekends are busy. Try to come on a weekday while everyone is working if you can. That's about it. read more

Really disappointed with the service and attitude today. I went shopping before Easter and had about $1000 in my cart. At checkout they informed me that they didn't take MasterCard, which I was trying to use as DEBIT. At that point, I took out my Visa and because I have an executive membership at Costco (about $100 per year) in my business name and the business name wasn't on my PERSONAL credit card, they thought it was smart to call over security to make sure that I was qualified to spend money in their store?? I got home to find out that the Alpine Fresh grapes I purchased were covered in mold. I have been a member at Costco since 2001. I also have another wholesale club membership and I will be shopping there from now on. read more

This Costco has an excellent selection and has changed my shopping and eating habits in very healthy ways. I love their deals on bulk foods and frozen foods and I can't live without their wine deals! I love that I can get large packs of Naan bread, delicious. I love the combo pizza and chicken bake (always a sinful, but cheap bonus after a costco shopping trip). Most recently I purchased their TASTY BITE lentils, ancient grains and vegetable tikka masala which were a huge hit in my house. They are healthy and cheap and make a very easy microwave meal for work lunches. My husband even prefers them over the unhealthy frozen meals that used to be his staple. I would love to see them continue their partnership with this brand. read more

YESSSSSSS! Finally a Costco in The Woodlands. We shop there at least twice a week and get everything there. Even my Chicks wedding ring! Which she gets many compliments on. The best thing about Costco is their return policy. Easy returns. But, if they have a product that gets returned a lot and isn't quality, they stop selling it. So, most of the products are top notch. We also just bought our dinning room table there. Great quality and great price, and made in Vietnam not China. They have great beer and wine prices too. Great wine selection. There are two memberships, the $55 a year which just gets you in or the $110 a year which gives you 1 or 2% back each year. So, far the least we have gotten back is $85. Which means we paid $25 for our membership. This year we got $365 back. (wedding ring) Just go check it out. Another note, they have a liquor store outside attached to the building. It is not run by Costco so the prices are not that great. I would shop around on liquor. And Costco only excepts American Express, Debit or Cash. Not MC or Visa. read more

We don't get to Costco too often, but I do order online and do get to the store every few months or so. Most every product they have, we feel is of high quality. Tonight we had their Chicken Fried Rice and I didn't know it had Chicken in it already, but it was certainly good with the Orange Chicken I made...I mean't opened. One thing my hubs and I decided was since downsizing buying in bulk for two ppl isn't so wise. I tend to agree, however there are things Ike Bacon, just love their low sodium bacon, Butter, etc. that are good to stock up on..they have great clothing items...bought two Orvis shirts for my husband for little of nothing. Children's clothing, etc...great selections..I love the products sold, my hubs got his hearing aids at Costco and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly.. The only places inside the store I have not entered are the cooler sections. I just can't do it even in 100 degree weather outside. When they first opened we went with the more expensive membership which paid off because of the hearings aids, but past two renewals, we went with the basic membership. Suits our needs. read more

This is my go to place to just wander around aimlessly with my toddler and feast on samples. We could go hours without him having a meltdown and me gaining a whole menu idea for the rest of the month. I get healthy options that are quick and easy too. I'm talking about the crustless quiche !!! hell yeah ! That was a huge hit in my house. For both my boys and me. Them for the taste and me for the 3 minute prep time. A new thing that I've noticed are the green juices. Maybe my normal grocery stores carry them but I've never noticed or Costco really offer them at such a huge discount and put them on a prominent end cap. Either way, I have stopped making my green juice from scratch since its so much tastier and cheaper to just buy the Costco organic green juices. I can't say enough about the samples and the people giving them. I've always had a great experience with them and I love how they are generous with the portions. I can go in and have a full belly without buying anything by the time I get out. Although I can honestly say that I've never been lucky enough to get out sticking to my budget as I always find something more to bring home. Lately, my costco trips have also saved me trips to go to my favorite Asian markets 40mi from home. They carry my favorite green tea by the case, Ito En, have my shrimp wontons and now have a good selection of my IndoPak favorites. Also, in even the most restrictive diet our doctors have put me and my husband in, we can still find great deals on food that have none of the ingredients we aren't supposed to have. For diabetics and others who have several health restrictions, this is a huge deal. Bad enough that most of the food we can have cost more and taste awful in most stores. At least, when we go to Costco, what we need is affordable and sometimes, we get extra lucky and its tasty too ! read more

I probably earn back my membership fees many times over in how much money I save on all these things. - Bulk home items: Paper towels, toilet paper, aluminum foil, saran wrap, cat litter, air fresheners. - Automotive: great prices on tires and motor oils. If you buy the tires from them, free balance and rotation for life and patches too. If not, just $29 for balance/rotation. Free nitrogen fills in my tires. I wish they did oil changes too. Gas prices are great for members too. - Foods: Bulk snacks for my desk at work. Frozen fruits for blending into smoothies. Amazing frozen meals that are way tastier than grocery store. Costco wine and liquor is ridiculously well priced. - Glasses. I saved a couple hundred dollars on just my glasses last year. My family has been shopping at Costco since I was little. I love it. No complaints -- they are the best. read more

Membership service was extremely slow. Not enough people working that department. Manager in no rush when called to help with a problem the employee had. We called prior to driving an hour and half to ask if they had a specific meat (lamb). The lady on the phone assured us they had every kind of cut of lamb, we just asked about chops. We headed back to the meat department and could not find any lamb at all. Asked a butcher where the lamb was. He stated they hadn't had any lamb in awhile. We told him we called prior to driving an hour and a half and were told they had all kinds of lamb. He said that was untrue. That was the only reason we drove all the way to Costco and paid for a membership!! The products they carry are good although we feel they don't carry a lot of items that the other Costco's we have been to carry. Cashier and bagger were nice and friendly. We ordered a berry smoothie after checking out. The girl that helped us was not friendly at all and acted like it was a burden to make one smoothie. Asked for a straw and she told me I could just drink it from the cup and didn't need a straw. Really? I asked nicely again for a straw and was given one. The lady that looked at our receipt when we were walking out was nice. Went to the liquor store after shopping. Service was great! Selection was great! read more

Costco this Costco that. Costco is the best overall best place to buy things. The quality is unquestioned but the quantity can be overwhelming if you don't have a large enough family. Even still, it pays to be a member: you get discounts on a lot of things that you didn't even know existed like gym memberships and car rentals. Their return policy is phenomenal. Just recently in the news I heard a lady returned her Christmas tree after New Years lol. Don't do that. The samples are the best and the food in the cafeteria is priced so low you'll wonder if you just walked into the '90s. $1.50 for pizza slice that bigger than two slices everywhere else with a drink! Avoid the Tire Center at all cost from this location. I ordered my tires on a Wednesday and received an email on Thursday confirming they received the tires, which included a signature of confirmation. Called Thursday, Friday and the following Monday asking about the tires and mentioning the email confirmation. I was only given a response of " they haven't arrived once the tires arrive and are scanned you will automatically receive a call." I decide to call their distributor located at Atlanta and they confirmed that the tires were there since Thursday of last week. She went on saying that it was not a special order and the tires were delivered the following day. Now I'm calling Customer Service and they too confirmed that in the system it was showing that they were delivered. No one from the tire center took the time to actually check what was going on and if the tires were there. IThe only refund I was given was $39.98 of the installation. Horrible customer service from the tire center. Use another service elsewhere. read more

My location on 242 the one my family goes to all the time. Good food selection and prices specially if you have a big family to shop for. They have jewelry, pharmacy, tire center and a cafe on top of everything else. Really enjoy saving money and shopping here every week. read more

My review is strictly about the hearing center. I purchased hearing aids on 3/24. It's 2 1/2 months later and I still have not been able to use both hearing aids to be able to tell if they work good or not. My issue is with the service I received since they sent one of the hearing aids to be repaired. They claimed that they would put a rush on it but when I hadn't heard in 3 weeks, I called to find out the status. The hearing aid was there. Why hadn't they called me? How long has it been there? I had to schedule a 15 minute appointment but the earliest available time was 6 days later. How is that a rush? Also the girl I was talking to was rude and uncaring. I decided to return the hearing aids and I will not be using Costco for any of their services if for anything at all. I've been a member at Sams Club for over 20 years and I had never had a experience like that. read more

I came in to visit my friend who is going through cancer treatment for the 5th time and has an emotional support dog. It is a small dog, less than 15 lbs, and she puts him in a doggy stroller when she goes to stores. Her dog is properly secured and has the appropriate harness with signage. We were going to the store to get her groceries for the next few weeks. Treatments can take toll on a person, making simple activities like grocery shopping too difficult. We entered Costco like she has done many times before with her dog and stroller, only to be stopped and told she cannot enter without a managers approval and that having an emotional support dog may not be on their list to accept due to problems with service dogs. When the attendant asked what the dog was for, I was offended. A persons reasons to have a support dog mental or physical is NONE of that attendance business and a violation of my friends privacy. Needless to say, we left. Costco of Woodlands/Conroe seriously? You need to figure out a more appropriate way to handle these situations and provide sensitivity training!!!! read more

Membership services was terrible in every way. Took us (2 people) the time it took many groups of people. They pressured us hard to buy the most expensive membership and the manager, and some grey-haired woman were terribly rude and belittling with the mathematics of how the more expensive membership was more beneficial. P.s. I have a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering and understand math. The products are nice, but please reform the terrible membership services. Absolutely disgraceful. read more

This location is way better than the one in Willowbrook and doesn't get too busy, unless it's the weekend. The tire service center has great deals on tires and will repair any tire you buy from them free of charge. Tire rotation is also free too, that's part of their warranty. read more

This review relates to their tire service center: An excerpt I sent to the Costco store to recognize a particularity helpful gentleman: I would like to thank the gentlemen in the tire department, Anton, for being such an honest and professional person. In short: My wife was told by the BMW dealership across the street that I urgently 4 new tires. They are too expensive at BMW so we began shopping around. Mr. Anton assisted us and during our exchange I told him I was skeptical about the BMW statement. He went out to our car, checked each tire and told us we did not yet need tires. Maybe in a few thousand miles but not now. I thanked Anton for being a very honest person. I am fully committed to not only purchase tires from this specific Costco location but I plan to tell all of my friends to shop there too. Tire center: I go in the other day and it's a 2 hr wait. I passed and scheduled an appointment thinking it may be a shorter wait. I'm 10 minutes early to my appointment and guess what...it still took 2 hrs. Not sure if it's a management issue or a staffing issue. read more

I've been waiting for Costco to be out this way for a long time! It's everything plus there's never really any lines, which is a plus for getting in and out. The cashiers are nice. Thank goodness I don't have to drive an hour to get what I need from Costco anymore. Chicken salad is my absolute favorite from Costco, oatmeal cookies are best out of the ones they make, and call me silly but Kirkland brand bottled water is, imo, is the best kind you can buy (coming from a water connoisseur ) not much to say other than ... Great location. It's kind of hidden from the freeway. Most of my friends didn't even realize it was open yet. I've been here during the week and on the weekend. No problems with parking or checking out. Love all the different selections of whatever I'm looking for, whether it be fruits, vegetables, or beer. Their organic items are great. I love their grass fed beef. I like just walking down the aisles to check out any new merchandise. I'm happy that Costco is FINALLY on my side of town. I used to travel 40 miles to the closest one. Ordered a Refrigerator online based on an estimated delivery date of the following week. Shortly after ordering, the shipper emailed to arrange delivery, with the earliest date being a full week after the date listed on the website. I'm not here to talk about Costco merchandise. Nor do I want to jabber aimlessly about their services. I want to review something far more important to us all, impacting even the young and the elderly. I want to talk hotdogs. Sure, there's specialty shops like James Coney Island, Der Wienersnitzel, Doggies, even Ballpark. But these are "gourmet" dogs, made so by toasting the bun, adding some foo foo ingredients or sauces, or otherwise masking the flavor produced when cooking waste animal products wrapped in cadaver skin and charging an exorbitant price. But, basics are basics! And Costco culinary masters have bravely packaged the concoction of disgusting ingredients in a 1/4 pound package, complete with a fresh white bun too small to contain the wiener, added a refillable soft drink, and given you the choice of mustard, ketchup, relish, and onions to stimulate, not suppress, the taste of cooked cattle parts. And it's all yours for a buck and a half. For that much stuff and that little price, by golly, Costco gets four stars in my book! Oh, and just so you know, I ate the whole thing without regurgitation and I'm considering grabbing another. read more
