I love Costco in the US and am there every week. I thought I would try out this Costco in TJ. What a nightmare. First you have to wait in line on a Monday morning just to drive into the parking lot. Then when you finally get parked, shopping is a nightmare. The line extends from the cashier all the way back to the end of the store. It's nearly impossible to shop because of the long lines of people waiting to get checked out. I was standing in line for over 30 minutes. When there was only one person ahead of me, an employee told us both in Spanish that this was not a line and that we would have to go to the back of another line. I left my basket of items and walked out of the store never to return. The prices are not very good and the service is terrible. I can drive across the border, shop and return before I can buy 4 items at this Costco. read more

This place is an insult to the Mexican people. Until Costco figures out how to hire enough help so the lines are not ten carts long I would never shop here. Try learning how Sam's club added the scan and go app. For someone who is supposed to be the wear house shopping pioneers, you are getting beat by Sam's. Love this Costco. Very clean and organized. Staff very friendly and most of them speak English. Lots of the same products but a lot different ones since it's in another country. Sales are pretty good. You are going to pay a little more regularly but it's worth it. Sometimes things actually are a little cheaper. For instance a couple weeks ago I saw sun canopies for around $ 17.00. I didn't buy and today we went to the U.S. and I paid )24.00! But hey I needed it for my U.S. home. Wine from the Valle de Guadalupe (Think Napa 40 years ago) is do cheap! Lots of wine you do not see in U.S. Veggies cheap, too. Outside food court the sane but sometimes has better offerings in menus. Along with mustard and onions they jalapeños, onions, relish for hot dogs. The other thing I like is they have home products from other countries like Germany, Canada, Italy and other countries not just China like the U.S. has! Which most of those products are junk. Although they do have products from China, too. All in all if you have a second vacation home here or retiring here in Baja , you'll be happy. I just wish they would open one in Rosarito! Le daré a Costco en Tijuana México una revisión cero, pero desafortunadamente no hay cero en la escala. Su servicio es una mierda. Mi hermana y yo fuimos al patio de comidas tratando de comprar perritos calientes y la señora de la caja registradora era muy poco profesional y amargada. Olvidamos traer nuestra membresía de Costco y ella se negó a vendernos la comida. Nuestra amiga de México se ofreció a comprar los perritos calientes con su membresía, y la señora de la caja registradora dijo: "No le venderé la comida a tu amiga porque es para ti". Luego nos dijo que fuéramos a buscar un pase de un día de la oficina para vendernos la comida. Teníamos mucha hambre, así que fuimos a la oficina e hicimos otra gran fila allí solo para descubrir que ella nos mintió y que no tienen tal cosa como un pase de un día. La conclusión es que hicimos una línea de 45 minutos para llegar a la caja registradora y otra línea de 20 minutos en la oficina y no conseguimos los perritos calientes y la pizza y teníamos tanta hambre. Lugares como este deben cerrarse por mentir a los clientes, y los empleados como esta señora no merecen tener un trabajo en el servicio al cliente cuando son tan irrespetuosos y poco profesionales con los clientes. El nombre de la señora de la caja registradora es Sarai en el Costco en Tijuana, México. No sé si Costco se toma en serio estas críticas teniendo en cuenta las idas y venidas que hemos experimentado. My sister and I went to the food court trying to buy hotdogs and the lady at the cash register was very unprofessional and bitter. We forgot to bring our Costco membership and she refused to sell the food to us. Our friend from Mexico offered to buy the hotdogs with her membership, and the cash register lady said " I will not sell your friend the food because it is for you". Then she told us to go and get a day pass from the office in order to sell us the food. We were very hungry, so we went to the office and made another big line in there just to find out that she lied to us and they do not have such a thing as a day pass. The bottom line is we did a 45 minute line to get to the cash register and another 20 minute line in the office and we did not get the hotdogs and pizza and we were so hungry. Places like this should be shut down for lying to the customers, and employees like this lady do not deserve to have a job on customer services when they are so disrespectful and unprofessional to the customers. The name of the cash register lady is Sarai in the Costco in Tijuana Mexico. I don't know if Costco takes these reviews seriously considering the back and forth we experienced. After reading reviews of others I feel that Poor quality customer service and very hurt and disappointment is what I feel is being given to Costco customers regardless of membership, why would anyone join after the way they let their employees treat us. read more
