The pharmacy is good, it gets me a 32% discount (through a free membership they offer) but the joint restaurant is the bomb. They have 2 or 3 awesome paninis as well as delicious desserts. The restaurant ain't cheap as the pharmacy, but it's definitely worth it.

Big savings here I bought my meds , Invokana which cost me 489.00 for a 30 day supply in US and here a 30 day supply is only 79.00 and Trulicity pens are 850.00 per month in US and here 170 USD what a big saving for same Meds not generics original brand names USA produced make sure you bring a passport picture so you get a discount card issued for a 32% discount for super savings on Brand name meds .

An amazing pharmacy and an amazing staff, our US citizen that this is definitely the place to go
This pharmacy can be a little hectic at times but they are very friendly and have so many products. It is located in a mall so you can do even more shopping when you are done at Gushers. I have not tried the food at this place yet but it is on my list of things to try. Their pricing for prescriptions is a fraction of the cost of the US. Definitely recommend coming here. read more

Absolutely 5 star service and products. I definitely recommend getting their discount savings card because it makes a huge difference. Their prices might be somewhat higher than other local pharmacies but the quality of their products and service plus the discount card definitely make it worth my monthly trip from LA read more

I don't have enough good things to say about Farmacia Gusher. I will now be going monthly to pick up some expensive stomach medication. I looked into it, and they carry it for like 30% of the cost that I get it in the US with insurance. All I needed was my American prescription, and they give you a discount card once if you bring a passport photo or get one done next door. Their English wasn't perfect, but it was good enough to get what I was looking for. On my second visit, one of the staff spoke perfect English, so if the first person you find isn't understanding, they probably have someone else that can help. On top of the great prices and great service, this place is open 24 hours. And they have a snack bar that I've heard is pretty good, too. read more

I love coming here just to eat. Their sandwiches are delicious & so is their potato salad.

The Good: It's 24 hours and there is always someone there who can help you in English and they always have what you need in stock. The Bad: It's a little pricey compared to some. The Ugly: The parking lot is a complete nightmare. Take a cab. read more

I had a great experience at Gushers and just picked up a couple of things that are exceptionally expensive without insurance like Asthma inhalers ($25 US each). I agree with the previous review, it's a short and cheap cab ride to Plaza Rio and the staff at Gusher's were friendly and helpful. If you get a Gusher's discount card you get an additional 33% off. Yes, discounted a third of the price off. Wow. Lastly, there was NO "Trump" cost added for a visa or otherwise. I paid absolutely nothing to go in and out of Mexico, and I came back through on Jan 27th, 2018 as well. read more

It's clean and in a nice area, and I went based off Yelp reviews, but when I brought my US prescription for migraines in they quoted me the same price as out of pocket in the US. Walked right out and went to a different farmacia that charged me a third of what they wanted for the same exact medication. Didn't hop the border to pay U.S. prices. read more

Great service Great prices on meds They make sure you get every discount afforded to you Well worth the trip from Los Angeles. The little cafe inside has great torta,s and corn. It's located in a shopping mall so you can do other shopping as well. Don't forget to get your picture from the photo shop 2 doors down so the pharmacy can make you a discount card wort 30 % off purchases. read more

The prices here absolutely rock. The staff are kind and friendly. They're not afraid to ask each other for help (for answers to my questions). The prices at Gusher are much lower than US prices without insurance. Sometimes they're even lower than the price of an insurance copay. If you want pain killers, etc., you need to have a prescription. It's a legit pharmacy. Gusher is in Rio Plaza, which is just like every US shopping mall. It's not a tourist trap like the square (the area after you cross the border that sells blankets, ponchos, etc.). It's got a Macy's, a movie theater, etc., just like a US shopping mall. You won't have to deal with pan handlers or street vendors. It's helpful to have a currency exchange calculator app on your phone. Prices for clothes at Macy's are actually higher than the cost for the same clothes in the US. Don't assume everything in Mexico is less expensive. In general, whether it's Canada or Mexico, I recommend paying with a bank card or credit card. That avoids any confusion about the exchange rate. I drive to the border and park. Then I walk across the border and take a cab to Rio Plaza. Something to note is that in Mexico, you should negotiate the cost of the cab ride before you get inside the cab. The normal fare from the border crossing to Rio Plaza is between $3-$4. I negotiate a little, knowing that I'm going to pay the driver $5 (which includes tip). I've never had US customs give me a hassle, but I'm never bringing back painkillers or anything that has potential to be recreational. Also - thanks to Trump, you now have to go through Mexican customs and pay for a Mexican visa to enter Mexico. Bring your passport or your passport card. They didn't used to do this. The cost of the visa depends on the length of your stay. I can't remember the price, but it was inexpensive (I'm only going to be there for a couple of hours). This is the Mexican government's way of telling Trump that not only are they not going to pay for his wall, they're going to charge Americans to enter their country. read more

Been going to Zona Rio since the 1990's, and was lucky enough to find Gusher's Farmacias. I learned about their discount card program on line, and here with reviews, but l did not know l needed a Visa size photo. Get one in advance, as you can't depend upon finding a passport photo office!!! I was lucky at this location, and got one next door, in the photo shop, for $5 US. Walgreens in the US was cheaper, so save money. This one is in the big giant mall, just across the street from my great 8-year treating dentist Dr Noe Villalobos in Cosmetic Dental. It got me 32% Off. My Sams Club drug $360 was $30, Metrogel $225 at Sams $20, Retin A $90 was $26 or generic $10, but it was on sale for $5. Generic sleeping pills $5. Now eye moisture drops 100 ct, were not available, so l did try a cheaper bulk size. Total bill charged on my no foreign transaction fee card, USD $200, in US Sams Club or Costco, over a $1000! Will be going there regularly! Warning, you need a passport for MX, and l recommend the Global Access Card TSA program. If you use the Zona Rio new entrance, by the San Ysidro Giant Tourist mall pedestrian crossing, and have Global Access Card, do not wait in either line coming back. Cut down the middle, as they don't have room for a 3-Line system with a Sentry Line. Now the old border, by the San Diego Trolley and McDonalds did. read more

Got what we needed. Went to the Fotomart next door and for 6 US dollars got the small picture for the 32% discount card. The pharmacists are super helpful and most everyone speaks English. We took a 7.00 cab ride from the border to the pharmacy. Easy peasy. read more

I was given a prescription from a dentist in TJ. I don't speak any spanish. The woman at the counter spoke no English. I thought she she asked for more then $20. What she wanted was $2. Wow see what the gets you from a pharmacy in the us. Drugs that are only offered in US packaging are not a good deal. read more
