This Walmart is located in a big plaza across Home Depot. Lots of different stores to also look/visit. This Walmart isn't so bad it's clean. Staff are cool and friendly. Bathroom is actually not to bad. Well stocked but the prices are kind of confusing. When I was purchasing yoghurt I didn't know it was $17 peso each rather than $17 peso for all 4 that is connected to each other. But other than that it's a Walmart. Parking is $10. Pesos read more

I was at the store. My wallet was stolen from my purse. Talk to Security to let them know what happened so they can make the thieves that are walking around the store, but they totally shut me down and told me that it was my fault that there was . All I wanted was from them to look at the cameras and let them know that those people are walking in the store approaching clients asking for help while the other ones are getting their hands on the purse. read more

Although the Walmart's are bit different from the ones in the states & also limited from what they in the states, I must say this was a nice Walmart!! Very clean, highly organized, wider aisles than ours and lots of good stuff for cheap, some not so cheap as we are use to. However, it was very interesting to see the differences. The only thing is, as with most of the shopping plaza's in Baja/Mexico is you'll have to pay a nominal fee (in pesos to dllrs like a quarter), not a big deal, but a hassle if you don't have pesos in coins. But I'm sure they started doing that to ensure order, especially Walmart! Also, side note, if your a craft beer gourmand, this store is probably the only one that has a little bit (literally) selection of craft, because other than Lagunitas you will NOT find anything else but Mexican beer -rightfully so. However, I think I did see one or two other IPAs or even one Czechoslovakian/and or Russian beer at the 7-11 or the Calimex. I believe they had Stella Rosa here too. I can't wait to come back! But not sure if I'll ever go in the Spring & Summer (warm) months, it will be crowded with visitors/outsiders, buying up beach/picnic supplies. read more

Ayyyy the Walmart in Mexico. So first of all Covid precautions are taken serious here There was a long line to enter the Walmart as there is an attendant at the entrance doors that 1) make you sanitize the bottom of your shoes 2) ensure you are wearing a mask 3) take your temperature 4) give you hand sanitizer This Walmart is the equivalent to a super Walmart in the US There is a bakery, meat/seafood section as well as produce Store is very clean and well stocked and prices are crazy cheap Whenever I stay in Rosarito I do come here to purchase things we need during our stay This specific Walmart has a private parking lot, they charge for parking. read more

I mean when in Rosarito I would say go local and bump that economy but then yet Walmart does give you better rate for your dollar into pesos and they do have a good selection of it all. There is plenty of parking, just beware that sometimes it is packed. Even if you go early in the morning cause in case you didn't know Mexicans do wake up hella early. It is also a beach town so people come here early to grab whatever they need for a day at the beach or camping in Baja. Overall I recommend this place over Calimax or the other groceries in town. The remodel is amazing ! Super clean. State of the art food displays and counters. Wide variety of meat, fish, cheese and much more. Also a wide array of merchandise from clothing to electronics. And, they now have self check out with employees there to help in the process. Also secure parking an a very nominal rate. read more

This is so centrally located! A few minutes away from downtown and in a really popular, new plaza. This plaza has a tong of places for shopping, and restaurants. So new and clean!!! This Walmart has a really delicious bakery inside, with freshly baked Mexican goods and a lot of cakes! The have a huge selection of meats and cheeses too. It had everything we needed for our stay and is really new. The staff is nice and the prices are right, perfect shop! read more

This store has changed drastically in the past year. I don't even know where to begin. Lines to pay are extremely long- they only have one or two cashiers working. Lines to pay are often reaching the produce department. In the past, fruit was displayed with condiments such as honey, granola, etc.. that is all gone now. The bathrooms are disgusting... just see the photos. This was the cleanest as I was too grossed out to take pics/use the other toilets. I don't blame the employees; there is obviously a management flaw. I am disappointed as my neighbors and I really depended on this store. Why let it go down like this? Highly disappointed read more

This is a super clean, brightly lit place to shop. It has a huge grocery section and all the other departments which are common to a US Wal-Mart. There is covered parking and security in the lot. Overall, this is a great place to shop especially now that they are offering 14.8 pesos to the US dollar for shopping at this store. The highest exchange rate at local banks and anywhere else is 14.3 pesos to the USD. Highly recommend for your vacation shopping needs, including a liquor department with low prices. Clean, big, cheap prices and plenty of parking in a safe area.

Traffic getting into the "mall" /shopping center is crazy. But once there, be sure to walk through the mall to the south of WalMart. There are lots of strolling families, a kid's play area, other stores, eateries and the movie theater (serving caramel popcorn) and an occasional American movie with Spanish subtitles. WalMart itself is similar to those in the US, in terms of its "look". Most products are Mexican though, so don't expect to find the things you would at home. We found the prices to be very good, and the fruit is DEE-licious. SO MUCH better than in the states. Use your credit card at checkout if you like. And try to tip the little abuelos and abuelas who pack your food for you. Also, the parking lot has tent-like covers over parking spaces - a GREAT idea that I wish we had north of the border. But the little safety-vested parking guard will pop up out of no where to "help" you get out of your parking space. He also would like a few pesos for his magic act. There's ice cream near the exit of the store, and also a "Thrifty" ice cream shop just outside at the SW corner (remember ice cream at Thrifty Drug in the 60s and 70s?). We were hoping to buy fresh salsa and guac from a service deli - but they don't have any such items at WalMart or CommercialMexicana or CaliMax. Bring your favorite recipes and make your own... just like the locals. read more
