This Costco is so much more civilized and it's less congested - especially the parking lot. Gas lines were long so we skipped that. The only negative is that there were just a few cashiers open. We were attending an event over the weekend up in Bergen County. We have been here before when we return home to take the Cape May, NJ ferry back to Lewes, Delaware. We were here last year in 2024, when we enjoyed our shopping visit. We arrived around 10:30 AM on Monday. We were able to easily park my Audi in the lane in front of the entrance. The place was not crowded. I don't like crowded Costcos. I spent $530 without any meat. We will return here again if we have to visit Bergen county and take the ferry on our return. I also enjoy my Costco credit card with the many cash back rewards. I am also an executive member so I also enjoy an additional 2% cash back reward. read more

I'm not sure what the policy is here for checking carts as you leave, but the lady that checked our cart counted every item in the cart. We had a fairly full cart. The gentleman check receipts across from her didn't check carts from the customers in his "line". I'm not sure why I was singled out after paying $380 for my groceries. read more

Coming from a metropolitan area Costco and comparing it to this Costco, hands down would I choose this one over that one. (But that's a whole other conversation since I'd rather live there than here) Anyway, lots of great pluses about this Costco. 1. PARKING The parking lot is huge. Even if during the holidays, you'll have to park farther than usual during busy hours, you'll always find parking. 2. CALMER COSTCO This Costco is definitely a lot less chaotic than other ones I've been too. Could be just the small town vibe 3. PRICES Okay not sure why but there are often times my mom tells me "_____ is on sale" and I find that it isn't on sale by me. Whenever I go here, the prices are unbeatable, and we love amazing prices! 4. GAS STATION There's a gas station at this Costco! But be sure that you're a Costco member, and that you're willing to wait a long while during peak hours (weekends / after work) Haven't had to deal with customer service post-pandemic so I have no say there, but the sampling people here are super nice and give out good samples! My only wish is that they carried more variety of Asian goods like in Teterboro and Edison, but I sense that is location dependent. read more

Prices are getting outrageous! I am finding the prices are higher then Shoprite and you don't have to pay Shoprite a membership fee! I shop in Costco alot and noticed lately the prices are higher than ever. $22.49 for a can of decaf coffee. Shoprite has decaf for half the amount on sale for $8. Traveling around the country, especially in Colorado, I found this store to be the best stocked, with very friendly associates. They have a excellent hearing center, and appointments are a lot easier, and faster to get than the other store in Mt Laurel, that is a little further out from location. read more

My wife and I find Costco to be a great shopping experience in many ways: - Food: The quality of the food is great. We've gotten fresh produce there and it's always been good. The frozen fish section is fantastic. Our freezer is always stocked with fish and shrimp. We also enjoy many other items and they have always been great. Man didn't ask anyone else for Costco card except my boyfriend who has a lifted truck and camo hat on, after sitting in line forever, no sign to say it changed last July to only Costco members. Have been a member of Costco for 7 years and frequent this location at least once per month. Great location with easy access to the GS Parkway. Nice selection of products at generally great prices. I have bought everything from tires, furniture, eyeglasses and a multitude of food products. Prepared foods are delicious and make for a nice quick dinner for the family. Front End Staff is sometimes less than friendly and spend more time chatting with each other rather than the customers. Ending on a positive note, indoor dining is back! Me and my wife just got back from our visit to the Manahawkin, NJ Costco. I am extremely disappointed with the entire Costco experience. We went to check out the store to see if we would like to become members. As soon as we walked in the lady at the entrance asked to see our membership card. My wife explained that we are here to browse the store to see if we would like to become members. The lady's response was, "you cannot enter the store without being a member". I said to her," we are thinking of becoming members, but we would like to see what the store has to offer first". She replied," I just told you, you cannot come into the store without being a member"! I replied," well if you are not going to allow us to browse your products, then we will not become members". She replied, "GOOD"! I told her to have a nice day, and walked away. We went back to our car and tried calling the membership department to see if we could get a day pass or something to browse the store. No answer! on any of the automated prompts, even the administrative office, No Answer! I have some advice for the people running this place, if you are not going to allow people to see what is inside your store, how can you expect people to become members. It doesn't seem like anyone cares if people shop here or not. I guess I will remain a BJs member, because they are very helpful, and actually care about their customers. read more

Had the worst customer service today. Went to return a serum I had bought a couple weeks ago and went to the customer service area. The first thing Doreen said was "wasn't there a box for it?" I said no I took the packaging off and threw it out it since I didn't think I was returning. Then she said "well do you have a receipt for it" I said no. She then says "do you at least have the app to return this?" I didn't think I needed any of that since my husband and I are members here. I thought we could just return it by them looking through our purchase history. And then she makes a remark about why did I open both of them and then said "I'm just giving you a hard time." I've never been treated like such a nuisance before for returning a product to Costco. Mind you, this is my first return ever since we had become members years ago and since my husband and I moved here, we've been coming to this Costco every weekend. I've never met someone so rude working in customer service before at this location. I've always had good interactions with the staff at Costco. I didn't say anything while I was there but honestly, that experience gave me such a bad taste. I didn't know me returning a product warranted me with snark and attitude. She was so rude and condescending. I hope she's not like this with every customer or if she treated me different because of racial bias. LONG POST* escalated complaint for the mistreatment, discrimination, & pure negligence of existing members/customer. FIRST & FOREMOST; SERVICE DOGS SAVES LIVES. PSD (psychiatric services are REAL & legitimate service life saving dogs). I've went to my local store with my husband previously many times with my PSD even at this same location before. However, My first horrible experience at the Costco in Manahawkin Costco in New Jersey. I have a 18mo golden doodle psychiatric service dog with the proper training, documentation & proof that's he's specifically task trained for myself. A older middle aged male, The door greeter (Bobby) deliberately refused to let me & my PSD access the store & verbally harassed me about what type of service dog he is, demanded me to show the tasks he can preform in front hot him, demanded the proof / medical documents that he is "legitimate" service dog. He was questing the legitimacy of his service. He did this while there was many many other customers were around. I explained my rights, explained his service & his tasks. I told him he was psychiatric / medical service dog. I explained my dog has had extensive training and he is taken with me everywhere. My dog shouldn't be separated from his handler. I stated he assists in mental & physical health for me. (Which is more different from than just a ESA). I even explained I had ptsd & that my PSD assists me with medical care. He actually told me and my husband that he wasn't a real service dog and he refused to let us in the store. He was yelling at me in front of all the customers. Bobby then went over pager to get a manager who also was not trained in what a PSD is and that she was going to need to go further up the chain to find out if it was okay we could access the store. He was so intrusive, verbally harassed me & embarrassed me in front of the whole store. Bobby did this in front of everyone which is wrong in itself. If he had a problem he should of had us brought to a different area where no other people were around listening to my personal business. I told them that I was so appalled & felt targeted that I was going to cancel my membership. He actually said go ahead and cancel your membership along with other extreme harsh comments. I felt severely discriminated against and my rights were completely violated & as well as this is all against the ADA / federal laws to deny access. I saw other service dogs in the store already prior to me allowed it. But yet, They wouldn't even let me go into the store with my PSD to cancel my membership. So I just walked right to customer service desk demanding to speak to the store manager and that I wanted to escalate my complaint as well as cancel my membership. This whole experience which was almost 1hr long caused a trigger to a panic attack. The associates at the desk got the assistant store manager. She was very apologetic and sympathetic towards the situation. She said she would take care of it and didn't want me to cancel my membership so I was a given $50 gift card & access to store again. Also, she gave her business card & corporates phone number. Apparently the extremely ignorant & unprofessional worker Bobby was spoken to & was taken off duty for the door greeter.However I do not know what the disciplinary actions was taken for him. At the very minimum, the workers of Costco no matter what position (or new hires) need a serious schooling/ education/ training on this issue. I'm continuing to pursue further advocacy and escalation with this situation. This situation could go as far as legal action. However I'm hoping that corporate & the management will take action to provide the proper education & training so that this type of situation will never happen again. I will be the voice & advocate for myself as well as others who are in a similar position as myself. Change needs to happen with this and I will fight for it. Please, People know your rights and advocate for yourself otherwise no one will. I'm sharing because it's crucially important to spread awareness on this! Thank you! read more

Especially the heavy set 40 something man losing his hair. Whether you're asking about an online order or returning something they are flat out a bunch of D bags. I have a fascination with over-sized things. It's probably because I'm so tall and anything bigger than me makes me feel regular-sized. For a girl with such issues/infatuations Costco is addiction-worthy. To gather enough supplies for a beach bash weekend I snatched my mom's Costco card (she was a bit nervous about the picture ID, but they barely check here. plus, we ARE related and look alike) and headed to the land of giant things packaged in twos. 700 packets of sugar? Sure! 40 beef patties? Oh, yea! A 5lb. bottle of kethcup? Two, please! My only wish in wonderland is that the aisles be clearly marked. I did a few laps in the building of football field proportions looking for utensils. Also, be advised that you'll wait in a long line if you are checking out around closing time. read more

Costco is a warehouse it won't have the 5,000 options shop-rite has or the smaller proportions. It will have great brands at tremendous value and will always come in bulk size. Clothes here are awesome. At times you can get high end stuff (Lucky Jeans, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger) for a steal $20-$30. The produce is generally another great buy. Package of bananas for about a $1.39. Grapes and strawberries are generally always good quality as well. How can you go wrong with a $5 chicken or $8 pizza those deals are awesome for prepared food. The seafood (tuna steaks and salmon) are some of the best around vs other fish markets. I stack up regularly on the Poland spring. Membership fee pays for itself just in savings from bottle water purchases. Unbelievable deals on all things necessities. Diapers are cheaper here than most other box stores. Only other place that's equivalent is amazon. Soaps, shampoo, razors, toilet paper, tissues, paper towels, paper plates, plastic utensils, napkins, etc. all are amazing. I would rate this Costco higher if I could. people are always friendly read more

This location is outstanding. It is very neat and clean. Staff is very friendly and expeditious in checking you out. Store is very well stocked and organized. Very good at accepting returns. Parking is readily available and plenty of it. Gas pumps are very busy at all times but the line moves fairly quickly and prices are the best in the area. Food area is good and the line moves quickly. Could pay more attention to wiping down the tables and emptying the trash cans. I highly recommend this store. read more
