Visiting Hawaii, I realized that going for a Costco run right after arrival is really smart, because you could stock up on drinks and snacks, even buy a swimsuit, before you start the vacation. I'm having a girls trip in Kihei and Costco is really close to the airport. Prices and size of products are hard to beat, plus there's a lot of free offerings, from protein drinks to rice crispies throughout the store. People who work here are friendly and seem to enjoy their work. read more

Costco - Wholesale Stores Near Me - Kahului, Hawaii

I like this Costco. We were stuck on the east side due to a fire resulting in road closure so we had a lot of time to kill. We popped in to briefly look around but didn't stay. The store is clean and items are neatly displayed. The staff behind the counter helped me locate a gel I wanted but it was a large 3 pack and I didn't have room in my luggage to buy it. I did find my favorite shrimp chips from Ono made on the islands. So I bought the 10 Oz bag to eat on this trip and another for a relative. It can't find this brand at our Costco and I wish they would ship it to the Bay Area. read more

Finally back home to Maui's Costco after a dozen years! Not much has changed, still as massive of a store as ever! And TONS of local Hawaii goods to be had by all, in bulk quantity HA!! Nothing like than stocking up on necessities while staying in the hotels here - Hawaiian bottled water, Made in Hawaii snacks, a kanak attack serving size (or 2) of poke, slippahs, swim shorts, and maybe a momona size bag of POI? Bring em'! But what did we really stop by for at Costco after our flight in from Vegas? The cheapest meal on the entire island of Maui! Da ever excellent, gourmet COSTCO HOT DOG Combo! Best $1.50 meal hack LOL! Tastes so much better though with the breeze in your face since the food court is located outside! Makes the Diet Coke that much sweeter! MAUI Costco NO KA OI!! read more

They have a problem with their food court. They eliminated the long line of customers that snaked back and forth when they added the bank of kiosks but they missed the point of having the kiosks. When I enter an order and pay, I get a receipt with my order number. When the staff gets my order finished, they should call my number, give me my food and we're done. Nope. I have to stand in line and give my receipt to a worker who goes off and puts it together. The difference isn't subtle. Why else would my order number be printed on my receipt. And, there is a second line for people to queue up in. It's a line for people who don't want to use the kiosk. They can order old school. They wait their turn, scan their costco membership card, tell the server what they want and pay at the window. Today, the line for people who don't want to use the kiosk was shorter than the line for those of us who used the not-so-new time saving method of ordering. Make up your mind, costco. read more

Good prices on a lot of items but some items higher priced than the mainland USA. We bought most of our produce here but I would also recommend times supermarket for produce. We compared prices and they were either comparable or better to Costco (less than Safeway). read more

Costco is by the OGG airport. I walked here after I landed to check things out. It was a fun discovery as they have some Hawaii Island exclusive items. I like the open kitchen and bakery concept where you can see the employees make everything. It's very fun. The food court is located outside and there is a food truck court across the street. Please come and create your own adventure. read more

I'm a sucker for Costco's in general, but I think the Hawaii Costco's are even more intriguing as they tend to have more unique items than going to various stores on the Mainland. We went on a Wednesday afternoon. It was moderately busy and there were quite a few samples to be had. Costco is my Dads happy place. I will never understand it, but nothing lights him up like talking about a screamin deal at a grocery store. So, fresh off the Boeing 747 from LA for our family vacation to Maui, Costco was our first stop. This one is literally right next to the airport though so it was clutch... they know what they're doing. We hopped out of the white mini van rental car and stocked up on everything from ground beef to liquor to dried mangos to my Dads goto sourdough bread for our 10 day trip. They have everything in here, obviously. We were starving off of a 5 hour flight that had no food, so I was hitting licks on the free samples. I doubled back specifically on this pumpkin bagel they were offering. Straight heat. IG @johnny.novo Tiktok @jnov__ Substack @johnnynovo read more

We always stop by here when we visit. This Costco is always busy, it's probably the only one on the island. Parking is challenging. the staff is just awful!!! I've never come across a Costco in America with rules like that. Extremely disappointing experience. I'm a Costco member and was refused at checkout because I tried to pay with my husband's card. The employee told me he had to be physically present because the card wasn't in my name. We are married!! and the card was authorized for me to use. I understand security policies, but the way this was handled was unnecessarily rude and frustrating. I've never experienced such an unreasonable issue simply trying to pay for my groceries. Very disappointed with Costco read more

Ah Costco, unfortunately your standards are slipping in the food department, and needs some work to bring it back up to the usual Costco standards we like and expect and which Costco stores are proud of. So much food I have bought over the past 5 months has been disappointing and an expensive waste: Milk - I always buy the lowfat gallon containers and they always go off at least 4 days before the sell by date. Either the date is incorrect or the milk is not being transported at the correct heat. We tried freezing half the gallon to try to avoid this but both halves go off quickly Asparagus - every time I buy it and open it same day it is slimy and limp and inedible Peppers - 6 pack of multi coloured peppers are usually soft and mouldy when you cut into them, again transporting them without the right heat could be a cause Apples - soft and powdery inside Living on the other side of the island, over an hours drive away, means it is hard to return spoiled food/milk quickly. It is an expensive problem for us and annoying as food is already so expensive on island. Please Costco buyers and managers in Kahului, ensure your standards are being met and that customers are not buying spoiled food! read more

Hawaii Costcos are the best! This location has everything you need for a week at the beach, from the bathing suit you forgot at home, sunscreen, boogie boards, and tasty treats and snacks for your stay, plus macadamia nuts to take home. If they have sashimi or sushi when you're in the store, get it. It's a crazy good deal for phenomenal, fresh, quality fish. We were blown away. We'd never tried Marlin sashimi and really enjoyed it. Service is great, lines are efficient, prices are very reasonable. It's great all around! read more

Costco is located very close to kahalui airport on Maui. This is my first stop after picking up my rental car when visiting Maui. Great member prices on many of the items that you need for your trip. The Costco is really cool with a lot of covered parking everywhere which makes sense for us a place so hot. The Costco layout reminds a lot of Home, but just with a lot of cooler things. It's a Costco so there's not much to say besides the fact that if you are a tourist you should definitely plan on stopping by this Costco before heading to your hotel.... or make a Costco run shortly after you check in. Place is crazy busy. Only Costco on the island. Residents and visitors who just landed pack this place. Highlights: -Two sections of local Hawaiian delight (snacks, fruit, etc) - they also carry most of the items you buy at your local Costco - they sell beach towels, snorkeling sets (but only had small/ medium at the time) and other things you may need for adventuring - two huge racks of $20 aloha shirts. My teenage kids each got one. Great designs and comfortable - unique / local food options across the store. If you are lucky, get the Guava Sweet Roll or Guava cheesecake if they are being made that day There is also a lot of food trucks across the parking lot from the entrance. Worth the trip - but be ready for the crowds. read more

This is a super busy Costco since it is the only one in Maui. I try to go first thing in the morning or after dinner time, if possible. The staff are friendly and helpful. Cute Costco. More touristy with their targeted audience likely to buy some local treats or boogie boards. I think my favorite is the local mandarin oranges. Maybe seasonal but it was very sweet. Food court is nice with windows sheltering you from the rain/wind. They have a mint chocolate ice cream that I don't see usually in Oahu. I also appreciate the blue recycling bins read more

It was packed today but we went later than usual and on a Saturday too. We rarely go but we needed some essentials. They had demos which was great. A lot of prices have gone up as usual. Ground pork was $2.99/lb, ground beef was $4.99/lb i think, eggs are $5 something for the 18 pack. There's a little section with some halloween decorations out and the usual beach stuff, toys etc. Found some great deals though. Parking was chaotic as usual. The employees are always so pleasant though and fast. Its our only costco on the island so it's not like we can choose between several. This is the only Costco on the island, and close to the airport. We stopped by here to stock up for the week, and it's a great place to stock up on water, snacks and also buy any gifts for yourself or others. There are plenty of Hawaiian snacks you can pick from! They also have great selection of Hawaiian shirts and sarongs if you didn't pack one, along with flip flops, and other things. Great Costco. We landed in Maui and went straight from the airport to Costco to get some groceries and more importantly, beer to stock up our condo for the week. IMHO Who doesn't love going to Costco, especially in Maui!!! They have many of the same staples in my area Costcos, but also offer many regional Hawaiian items. Let's get straight to it: THE POKE. That creamy wasabi ahi poke? That shoyu-spiced buttery magic? Life-changing. I would fight a sea god for another bite. It's so good it made me question everything I thought I knew about warehouse dining. It's fresh, flavorful, and cheaper than therapy. Sure, it's a little chaotic--it's Costco. The parking lot is a war zone. You will absolutely have to dodge a rogue cart or an uncle buying 5 gallons of mayonnaise. But once you get your hands on that poke container? Inner peace. Pure joy. Instant aloha. Pro tip: grab a fork and eat it in your rental car with the AC blasting and a La Croix from the cooler. No regrets. Only vibes. read more

Yes! Visitors, stock up for your vacation here to save loads on food. Why support the restaurants when many don't want you?! Go to Costco! Don't think you are going to go straight from the airport to Costco with all your bags in the car. That would be too efficient. If you do, one person needs to stay with the car to watch the bags so your stuff isn't stolen. This goes for Costco and anywhere on the island--don't leave your stuff in the car. Great Costco, unique finds you won't find on the mainland in food, jewelry and clothing. Enjoy yourself! Best gas prices! read more

Almost every article or TikTok I saw before traveling to Maui suggested making a stop at this Costco right after you land. I'm a follower so I did just that. Getting here was super convenient and close from where we picked up our rental. I've never seen a Costco with so much covered parking! We came for essentials for the week, but we also were curious to see what a Costco in Hawaii looks like. The first thing we needed and found right away was Hawaii friendly sun block. It was right there as we walked in. This Costco was set up a little different than back home, mainly because it was smaller, but the general layout was the same. We checked out the bakery and picked up guava Danishes because we definitely don't get that at home. We did not plan on doing any cooking, but the fresh seafood selection almost made us change our mind. We were also thought the fruit selection was great compared to back home. Snacks wise, we found lots of new to us items that we picked up for the week. Definitely make this your first stop when arriving in Maui. The further in you go, the higher the prices are. read more

First thing off the plane in Maui we always head to Costco. It's close to the airport and you can get most things closer to mainland prices versus in town. We stock up on water, drinks, and food for the kids. I Do want to note that this is the busiest Costco that I have ever been to. It's a huge facility and it can get very crowded. If you can walk, I recommend parking in the back. If you try to park in the front in the first few rows you may get stuck. It took us 20 minutes to get out of a logjam there once. Now we just park in the back near the gas station and it's much easier to get in and out of there. read more
