Ryan is down-to-earth, approachable, friendly, knowledgeable, and caring. You know those times when you come across someone who you know genuinely cares about you and is not just trying to make a buck? Ryan is one of those people! Cindy in the office and the other lady (whose name escapes me) are also very real people. Hearing aids are not inexpensive, so I want to give someone my business that I know will take care of me long term. I very highly recommend Golden State Hearing!

Firstly, I had no idea how to even go about the process. From the moment I called the front office and spoke to Cindy. I knew this was the place for me. Cindy and Ryan are experts and show so much patience and care. Cindy helped me get in to see Ryan within 24 hours since I needed to use my insurance by the end of the year. This morning I met both of them. Before I arrived, Cindy had already worked out all of my insurance stuff and she is just the nicest, most capable person. Ryan showed so much care during this sensitive time for me and answered all of my MANY questions and laid out all of my options for me. He let me test the hearing aid outside and inside several times and adjusted it, however, many times I needed. He showed me everything there was to know about a hearing aid (I had never even held one before) and told me about the features of each. I have sudden single sided deafness due to a tumor and Ryan knew everything about the special type I need and carried all of the different brands that make a CROS hearing aid, so I could make an educated choice. There are three different kinds I'm choosing between and Ryan is letting me test them all. I am so thankful when I encounter such kind, generous, understanding, knowledgeable, and expert medical providers, especially for something as sensitive and difficult as getting a hearing aid. They are highly rated on Yelp for a reason. Ryan is up-to-date on all the technological advancements and capabilities. He can even adjust my hearing aid remotely. Trust me, call them and let them take care of you. I look forward to seeing them again and I'm so glad Ryan and Cindy are with me on this journey.

It was a very meticulous, painstaking process! When I came in, I didn't see anyone else waiting in the lobby, although several people did come in while I was there. [I hope I didn't hold anyone else up, especially if they all had appointments.*shame*.] Note: they don't take "medical", but I was more than happy to pay a very modest charge of $15 rather than having to pay WAY more than that to make a 4th trip to Stockton. Dr. Kirk is the first and only Optometrist I have visited in my adult life. I literally hadn't had…read moremy eyes checked since I was in school; in fact the last time I had my vision checked may have been when they came to our elementary school to do a check on every student. Anyways, I wasn't having any vision problems, but I thought it would be a good idea to get a check up so I Googled the nearest optometrist and found myself at Almond Blossom Optometry a few days later. My first impression when I walked in was great. I had been extremely busy at work so I arrived a few minutes late for my appointment and I was on a business call as I walked through the front door. The woman at the front desk waited patiently for me to finish my call and greeted me with a warm welcome when I got off the phone. This was unexpected because I had been rather rude, showing up late and talking on the phone. I know I would not have greeted myself with a smile! Anyways I quickly filled out some new patient forms and was off to see the doctor in a matter of minutes. Meeting Dr. Kirk was refreshing. He shook my hand firmly and even apologized for his weak grip because he had been chopping wood the previous day. A doctor chopping wood??? I live in the Bay Area and I'll bet you can count on one hand the number of doctors there who have even held an ax. So we were off to a great start. He ran me through a number of vision tests including one with a little flashing light and a trigger that you push with your left or right hand depending on which eye sees the pin hole flash of light. That was my favorite exam because it almost felt like I was playing a video game. The entire time he was performing the exam Dr. Kirk and I were engaged in conversation. He took an active interest in my work, we talked about where we grew up, and he told me the story about how he and his family ended up in Ripon. I was amazed at how much I had in common with a man who had a half-dozen degrees and certificates hanging on his office wall. The exam ended with Dr. Kirk announcing that I had perfect vision. I asked when I should schedule another check up and he said he would see me again in about 10 years. That was probably the best part of the entire experience. I tend to be a little jaded when it comes to the medical industry, but this man didn't see me as a pay day. His professional opinion was that my vision was great and unless I was experiencing a problem he didn't need to waste his time and my money telling me that I had good vision every single year. My experience at Almond Blossom Optometry was so great, that I can almost guarantee that I will be returning to Dr. Kirk. Hopefully I won't need to see him again for 10 years, but rest assured if I do experience a problem, Dr. Kirk is someone I can trust to help me out.

When we read the contract, we immediately called Posey's where my step mother had taken her father several years earlier. Our call was answered by the nicest person. She understood my issue and we were able to see Bryan the next day. Bryan gave my dad an audio exam and spent more than an hour with us. He was very patient and answered all of our questions. He read the agreement the other place had made my dad sign and said that was highway robbery. That they receive these loaners from the manufacturer at no charge. He fitted my dad for a loaner while we wait for the insurance to verify coverage to get his permanent aids. No contract, no threat!! My dad can hear better than he has in years. He is very outgoing and not being able to hear (50% hearing loss in each ear) has changed him. So hearing again made him soooo happy. My husbands hearing has been getting progressively worse and his dr recommended hearing aids. We…read moreresearched hearing aids on the internet and were very confused since there were so many different ones and all different kinds of technology. We wondered how someone could just order one on the mail, how would they know how it worked, how to adjust it and so on. So we googled hearing aids and Posey's came up. We went to the Turlock office and made an appointment for the next day. Mr. Posey himself handled our appointment. He was very patient and explained everything. My husband had a ton of questions, Mr Posey answered everything. By the end of the appointment we decided that we would purchase the hearing aids from Posey's. Mr. Posey advises us that he would order the hearing aids (Late Wednesday) and that they should be in by Friday. He advised us that he could wear the loaners until his new hearing aids came in. We picked up his new "ears" today and could not be more happy. Mr Posey advised us that any time I need them adjusted, or had any issues to come in. They treated us like we were their only patient. They even supply batteries for 1 year! I highly recommend Posey's for all your hearing needs.
