Our insurance is a PPO and doesn't require referrals, but this office requires them. Even our insurance had a record of the referral and everything was a green light on their end. I called this office 7 or 8 times to follow up and ensure it was sent correctly. Every time they asked for my child's date of birth and not once did they think it was important to mention that they don't even see children under 6 years old. We wasted nearly a month of back and forth with them only to end up at a dead end...oh and they still had no record of the referral even though the pediatrician's office had sent it and even I sent it via email to their referrals department. No clue about the competency of the doctor because we never got that far, but your practice is only as successful as your office staff. This entire office staff failed my daughter and I would consider negligent to the success of her future hearing health.

Firstly, I had no idea how to even go about the process. From the moment I called the front office and spoke to Cindy. I knew this was the place for me. Cindy and Ryan are experts and show so much patience and care. Cindy helped me get in to see Ryan within 24 hours since I needed to use my insurance by the end of the year. This morning I met both of them. Before I arrived, Cindy had already worked out all of my insurance stuff and she is just the nicest, most capable person. Ryan showed so much care during this sensitive time for me and answered all of my MANY questions and laid out all of my options for me. He let me test the hearing aid outside and inside several times and adjusted it, however, many times I needed. He showed me everything there was to know about a hearing aid (I had never even held one before) and told me about the features of each. I have sudden single sided deafness due to a tumor and Ryan knew everything about the special type I need and carried all of the different brands that make a CROS hearing aid, so I could make an educated choice. There are three different kinds I'm choosing between and Ryan is letting me test them all. I am so thankful when I encounter such kind, generous, understanding, knowledgeable, and expert medical providers, especially for something as sensitive and difficult as getting a hearing aid. They are highly rated on Yelp for a reason. Ryan is up-to-date on all the technological advancements and capabilities. He can even adjust my hearing aid remotely. Excellent staff!] She spent about 30-45 minutes patiently cleaning and adjusting my hearing aids, including replacing the tubing and one small panel piece. It was a very meticulous, painstaking process! When I came in, I didn't see anyone else waiting in the lobby, although several people did come in while I was there. [I hope I didn't hold anyone else up, especially if they all had appointments.*shame*.] Note: they don't take "medical", but I was more than happy to pay a very modest charge of $15 rather than having to pay WAY more than that to make a 4th trip to Stockton. He should've done a different type of test like a KOH. These doctors are only good at things they've seen before if they haven't seen it they don't believe it exist. It's called cognitive bias.
