After purchasing gas from the gas pump here, my husband and I saw that this Costco location has a car wash. We have only used the car wash feature at another Costco in California years ago and thought it was great. Since we were on a long road trip from California, my husband's truck was really dirty and in need of a wash. So we figured why not try the car wash here. For only $7.99, my husband bought the car wash while he pumped he gas and then showed his receipt to the employee at the entrance of the car wash and we sat back and watched the show (suds, water, etc). After a short ride, my husband's car was much cleaner than it was prior. Surprisingly much dryer than expected. And no scratches, although other Yelp members had mentioned that they found scratches on their car (we made sure to inspect my husband's car afterwards after seeing the reviews). Overall, this car wash was great at getting a lot of dead bugs off my husband's windshield and car grill. read more

One of the perks of being a Costco member and shopping at the Boise store is the car wash. I only wish they had vacuums, too.

If there was a choice of no stars I would have chosen that! I bought a new car on 12/16, I washed my vehicle at the Boise Costco Car wash on 12/21 and before I went through the wash I asked the attendant "is this a touch less car wash?" He said no it is not but they use the softest pads to clean cars and nothing gets stuck into the pads and my car will not get scratched. I was really hesitant on going through the car wash but did and regret it! As soon as I cleared the end I drove to the first open parking spot and looked at my car and found scratches on my brand new Subaru! I immediately went to the front desk and spoke to Rick assistant manager at that time and he came out and looked at my car and saw scratches then had me fill out an incident report. We then pulled my car into the service area when they change our tires and Rick took pics and said that he would put the pics into his report. I got a phone call a day later from the companies unde writer and she wanted my side of the story and I told her and she wanted new pics from me. I took the pics and sent them in. I got a phone call from the underwriter and she told me that she would not be able to give me any compensation because the scratches could not have come from the pads in the car wash as they are not consitances of how the pads swirl around. The underwriter said to me "the car was that week washed over 500 cars and did not receive one complaint" and my response to her was "maybe those 500 people did not get out and look at their cars ". When i bought my 2018 Subaru Forester I first walked around it to make certain there were no scratches or dents and there were none! After washing your car here first look for scratches!! You know I was told that Costco's would make this right because if they are very customer service orientated well not this time!! read more

If you are looking for a soft brush car wash, this is not it. It bent my front license plate, and, worse, it ripped out one of the rubber roof straps on my RAV4. I tried to press it back in. I hope it stays. read more

I filed a claim for the carwash damage. I had a body shop inspect the damage and was told the damage he saw was consistent with other carwash brush damage he has repaired before. I had him write that in the estimate which I also submitted. Even though it was obviously carwash brush damage by the patterns of the scratches, even though there have been other claims for the same damage from others at the same carwash, and even though the appraiser noted that it was consistent with carwash brush damage he had seen before, their claims department again denied the claim. Those people are useless. The claim was only for $125 in repairs which seems very reasonable if you look at the pics I posted. I was fully repaired to unleash a social media storm against Costco Carwash and use online consumer complaint websites such as ripoffreport.com, pissedconsumer.com, etc. and file in small claims court. It would be stupid of them to face all the negative social media reviews and pay someone to go fight a $125 claim that they would most likely lose and then lose at least one customer's business forever rather that fairly pay the $125 claim. Thankfully the carwash manager BeJay H. had more common sense. I spoke to him after the insurance company denied my claim. He offered to reimburse me for the damage repairs at the store level. Thank you BeJay! Thank you Costco! At least I can still shop at Costco and not have to waste my time fighting for what should have been taken care of immediately by your insurance company. To Costco; you should realize that your insurance does not have your best interest in mind when they deny claims and cause customers to blast you on social media and consumer websites as well as loose your customers and all the money they would have spent at Costco. You may want to consider getting a better insurance company who thinks about your real losses before they deny claims that should have been paid fairly read more

After using the Boise Costco car wash in mid March 2021, I noticed several paint scratches and one deep scratch along the driver door of my 2015 Nissan Frontier. The scratch marks were in line with each other and consistent with the roller type brush that are in use by the Costco car wash. The vehicle in front of me had their roof rack torn off. I complained to the manager and we filled out some damage claim paperwork that gets submitted for third party review; I also requested videos from the gas station and car wash but was informed that the cameras would not be able to see that fine of detail. Three days after submitting the paperwork, I get a call for a verbal statement to add to my written statement by the third party reviewer. Two weeks later, I get a call stating that Costco was not at fault. I've been a loyal Costco fan for years and shop there almost weekly. This situation is super frustrating and I suggest you use a different car wash with brushless technology. I was extremely disappointed at how Costco handled the situation. The Costco car wash in Franklin, TN damaged the paint on two of my 2003 model cars. Costco refused to pay for the damage. Today the roof spoiler on my 2003 Lexus was broken off by the brushes. They better pay this time or I'll be calling my attorney! read more

I just got my wife's Jetta washed 10/14/20 at the Costco carwash in Boise and spent an hour at home with rubbing compound and wax to make it look better but the scratches are deep into the clearcoat. Save the $8.00 and more importantly, the extra detail time at home. Sad because everything else at Costco is awesome. read more

It's Costco so it has to be good right ? Unfortunately our experience fell short of Costco's lofty expectations. The price is 7.99 which is about three to four dollars less than most of the auto park in neutral car washers in the Valley but there is no vacuum service. Once you insert your Costco card, you are prompted to pay via credit card and the machine spits out a thermal paper receipt. You and your car do a National Lampoons European Vacation Big Ben roundabout until you meet the friendly Costco attendant. Ours was super friendly and gobbled the receipt and in we went. The smells of the chemicals were not pleasant. Some of the other washers leave you with cotton candy or sweet smelling foaming actions but not Costco. The actual " tunnel " is too short and this is a major issue. There is simply not enough tunnel for you get dry by the time you meet the dryers and then exit. So your vehicle has plenty of spots from the back window and the roof as well as the mirrors. Luckily, I had additional towels to dry off the car before getting yelled at by my wonderful wife. In summary, the price is too much considering there's no vacuums and the vehicle is too wet from the tunnel. I think Costco has a good idea but I think they executed it too fast without thinking it through. I'll stay with either Rocket or Mister Whatever on Eagle. read more
