Today, we had the great pleasure of meeting our new favorite Costco employee, Jerry Lee. Upon arrival in the crowded ass parking lot, we were greeted by this nice tall blonde man. After our hectic 20 minutes of shopping, we disembark to the parking lot to see good ol' Jerry, offering his strength and unloading skills. Jerry proceeded to take our groceries out of the cart, and put them in our automobile. Overall, 12/10 experience thanks to this man. Thanks, Jerry! read more

This particular Location has traffic not only from the locals each week but our town being a border town we get the canadian floods as well. That being said the staff and people at our local Costco handle this storm well. They are always nice and courteous as well as knowledgeable about where things may be in their stores. I have also made inquiry's as to products that get removed from their shelves and they are always prompt with finding out the answer. Whats even better is their consistent quality control. If on the conveyor belt there is a problem with the merchandise damage or a single fruit in a batch rotting they quickly remove it and send a cart clerk to run off to the ends of the store to retrieve a fresh one. Their customer service is astounding for a wholesale branch and I am proud to host a town offering it. read more

I went to the Hearing department over a week ago to have my hearing aid looked at and was shocked to find the manager (a lady I cannot remember her name) and one of the co-workers (Larry) were making fun of the fact my eardrum was bleeding. It was outright creepy as they laughed and stated "I had a bug in my ear". Wholly inappropriate and unprofessional, and the lady manager -- something isn't quite right with her. My wife was there as well and couldn't believe their behavior. Additionally, they didn't seem to know very well how to do their job. I also encountered a friend of my father's here in Bellingham and when he noticed I had just one hearing aid (I had sudden hearing loss - unexplained) - he asked where I got it (Reno, Nevada). He said the "lady manager at the Bellingham Costco" refused to sell him just one hearing aid and said he had to buy two even though he only needed one. When I told him of my experience with her, he agreed "something needs to be done about these issues". read more

Very difficult to get in and out of the parking lot. Took 14 minutes to get from the parking lot to I-5 South at 1:15 this afternoon. It was very crowded inside and the main track was very poorly designed. This Costco will have lower sales numbers than the Meridian store if management does not address the flow of customers. The point of a Costco is to get you to travel throughout the entire store and see the products, this store just made me rush to get out. The worst Costco I have ever been to. There's always a lot of people and it tends to make people grumpy and mean. They get impatient and pushy. The deals are wonderful and the staff is great. I love the food court. The deal for the Polish dogs is a great one. read more

Auto battery. I just researched (and purchased) a battery for my '13 Toyota at Costco Bellingham. They blew everybody out of the water on price. I researched a dozen places, even into Canada with a 30% devalued peso and for a top of the line battery (granted not the same battery) Costco's was under $100. Comparable batteries elsewhere were $150-$200. read more

I am not a costco member - YET. I have always asked myself if it would be a good idea to join costco and become a member of not. This last trip there with a friend of mine sealed the deal. The prices at,costco are unbeatable and there are just so many benefits of being a cardholder ... I am very pleased with this store. This Costco sucks. I'm a college student, I haven't been to Costco in a really long time. Years ago, you were able to eat in the food court without showing Costco membership. My boyfriend and I walked into Costco one day, and right as we got to the food court, an employee (young brunette girl with glasses, I don't remember her name) steps in front of my boyfriend and demands for his Costco card. Both of us confused, we exclaimed we were able to eat without a membership before, and didn't think anything of it. I asked her politely if I was on my dad's membership, if I could still use his. She looks me up and down and says, "Well are you your dad? Then you can't. You need to leave." Costco, I understand your new policies require membership. However, your aggressive and disrespectful employees do not make me want to give your company money. Teach your employees to treat all customers, existing and future, with a little sliver of respect. read more

I am a US citizen, and have held an Executive Membership (company card) since 1993. I've been to Costco stores in AZ, NV, OR, ID, HI, and WA. While shopping today in the Bellingham store I was denied purchasing a half gallon of alcohol that was included with other goods, based solely on the premise that I was attempting this purchase with this type of card membership. I'VE NEVER HAD THIS DENIAL. I was told by both the checker, floor manager, and membership counter personnel that I could not purchase alcohol with this card, and was asked if my attempt was to "re-sale the alcohol". UNBELEVABLE! I am 43 years old, and wasn't once asked for ID for the matter. I immediately contacted Costco Corporate to discussed the issue thinking this may be a new policy. The response was this is not a new Corporate policy, and they were extremely embarrassed this product was denied of purchase with my membership status. INCOMPITENT IDIOTS AT THIS STORE! read more

The fifth Costco I've ever been to in this is definitely the smallest. If you've never been to a Costco being the smallest means it's twice as big as a Target. All Costcos are the same layout, which I like because it saves time. Seems this is the smallest Costco in the United States so they are breaking ground on a new location which will be bigger and better. It will be an accident or two northward on the I-5 . The first few times I went to this Bellingham location Costco was swamped with our friends from the north. The economy has obviously changed so I assume that will impact the bottom line of Trader Joes and Costco in Bellingham . I appreciate their helping the US economy. 20 something years ago I used to call it the hundred dollar store because I could never get out for less than $100... Even if I had a list with three items in my sweaty palm. Now it's the $250 store. A smart shopper can save some bills when comparison shopping but prices are often more than at the outside. That coupled with my not actually needing enough of an item to feed the Duggar family, it's not always practical. read more

I love shopping at Costco, but with the whole Covid-19 issue, I decided to give Costco online a try. This was the biggest mistake I have made in a while. Needless to say, Costco is horrible at communicating what is going on with your order. I understand that things are difficult, but the 2-3 day delivery is more like "we will give it a week, and then we'll leave you hanging." They do not send out emails to let you know an approximate delivery or let you know if it is delayed. So, after about a week of not hearing, I decided to cancel my order. However, the website would not accept my cancelation or explain why so I then called customer service. After waiting for about an hour, an employee tried to cancel my order for me then told me it was not possible that it was already in the process of being shipped. Still no package, no tracking number, nor an email to let me know what is happening, and my account page still just shows my order with no updates. Meanwhile, I have no groceries, and my money is stuck in the bank because if I spend it, I will have an overdraft. Stick with Amazon, Walmart, and Instacart people. Costco online is not at all customer service oriented. read more

Do yourself a favor, drive the extra 20 minutes down to Burlington and shop at that Costco, it is clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the parking lot wasn't designed by a bunch of blind morons who clearly didn't share one brain while mapping it out. Oh, and the Canadians seem to be too cheap to drive down to that Costco making it even MORE enjoyable to shop there. read more

I love Costco but who puts a Costco in the middle of what is basically an oversized strip mall in the center of what are the biggest shopping stores in Bellingham WA outside the mall. Full of Canadians desperate to spend their money it is a nightmare in the parking lot wondering if you will make it to your chosen store without being run over by speeding drivers both WA and BC plates. I will wait to enjoy Costco again when they move somewhere else. I can wait and so can my pocket book. read more

There should be one line dedicated for Canadians to fill up their gas cans at this Costco's gas station. Isn't it illegal to transport more than 8 gallons of gasoline unless you have a commercial vehicle. It is inconvenient and frustrating to wait for a customer to fill up can after can of gasoline. read more

I have shopped at Costco Bellingham for years. I overheard the check out employee tell the woman in front of me that Costco was no longer accepting Canadian money. Canadians help support this particular store. I won't be going back as that is just poor business practice. Indeed it may be inconvenient to convert funds one Canadian to US funds but computers have capability to do that easily. If you don't want our money, you don't want our business. read more

Costco is our favorite store to go to and we have been to so many of them but never been treated like the people at the pharmacy here did. The old lady in the cashier is tactless. We were waiting in front and was told to move to the yellow line but didn't say it nicely. She even said, "oh they should just build it up again and burn it down" talking about another company. The old lady then told us to see Sondra, pharmacy tech, who did not acknowledge us at all. At first I thought she was mute. She finally talked and told us our insurance doesn't cover my prescription which is $127. We've never paid for this prescription before. We gave her a different insurance card information and was snappy saying it's the same number as the one she tried and she can't do anything else. We then called our Costco pharmacy in Federal Way and we spoke with Janel and she offered to call this pharmacy to basically tell them how to input the insurance information in their system right. As we were waiting in line, an Asian lady was going to help us and when I told her our pharmacy is calling them to clarify our insurance information, the old tactless lady said, "Oh Sondra already talked to them about that". At the end, we didn't end up paying for our prescription. If we would've been taken aback by their rudeness and just left, I would've left more pissed and $127 poorer. The guy in the grocery cashier made up for it by being so friendly but first impressions last so no thank you, not going back to this Costco again. read more

We shop at the Bellingham Costco twice a week on average. The trip from Surrey is well worth it. We have serious safety concerns though regarding the Bellingham Costco Gas Station. Every time and I mean EVERY time we wait in the lineups, we approach the pumps and are terrified watching many vehicles that are filled with family members in them (usually kids) being filled up with up to five and six 5 gallon gas cans. Doesn't take much imagination to foresee the pending inferno of children and adults in their vehicles after they have been in an accident on their way home to Canada.(which by the way it is just plane stupid to have gas cans inside your vehicle). Not to mention, at the Costco Gas Pumps, many different folks from all types of physical, intellectual and cultural challenges are using a raw fuel pump locking open gas nozzle, to pump fuel into these five and six gas cans. How long do you think it is going to be that someone will drop a locked nozzle pumping gas from the hose, on the ground and fuel will be flying all over anyone close, many vehicles with people sitting in them and the yet to be closed gas cans. Quite the inferno waiting to happen. Grab some balls Costco and limit gas cans to ONE FIVE GALLON GAS CAN ONLY PER VEHICLE!!!! I know you are in the business to sell gas but what about all the lawsuits regarding burned/dead customers. We have asked Costco to get a handle on this but no changes yet. Smell the inferno COSTCO. We will go elsewhere from now on. I value breathing. read more

If you have to shop here, I recommend you go early mornings on weekdays, by 11AM the place is packed with Canadians, long lines, very congested, good luck getting fuel. On the weekends forget about it, the Canadians that sleep in the walmart parking lot across the street will beat you there. I suggest enjoying the drive down to Burlington, the Costco there is not quite as busy... read more

Love shopping at Costco. Great customer service. They actually treat customer like real human beings. I have so much trust in shopping at Costco that I will buy whatever and if I am not happy I feel I don't have to argonise about what i shouldI do when returning item. I was very very disappointed with Costco over the this whole Avian flu and the poultry issue. All of their in-store signs lead one to believe that if the poultry is frozen, then it is ok to transport across the border. Even the Border Guards say that they deliberately miss-lead the public so that they will continue to buy their frozen poultry, only to be forced to throw out hundreds of dollars worth at the border. This is a disgusting display of corporate greed. I would have far more respect for a company, and support it, if they only operated with a grain of integrity. I am fairly certain that I will not shop at this Costco anymore. read more
