Had an interesting experience at this car wash. I was out of town on business and had a rental car…read more The previous day, I had to visit a client down a long dirt road. So...the car was dirty. I was staying at a nearby hotel and saw this place. Figured it would be quick and painless. Well...it was, sort of. The easy part is picking your wash level and paying. After that, you self-guide your car into place. On the day I went, there is no light telling you when to stop. Instead there is a loud horn. I heard that and wondered if I went too far, so I backed up a bit. Seemed to work as it started. Then it soaked my car, covered it with soap and then...stopped. Nothing. I tried going up, nothing, back, nothing, sitting, nothing...now what? Well, figured it was best to drive around front and ask the cashier to help. Apparently, the manager was already on his way so when I got up front, he was in the back fixing it. Anyway, he was able to fix whatever happened and let me know to immediately stop when I hear the horn. So, re-enter and wash. Worked great! But, you will need to bring towels with you or drive pretty fast when you are done. The blow dryers at the end get some water off but not as much as others. Overall, it worked, cleaned the car but really didn't dry the car. So, bring towels, stop when you hear the horn and...enjoy!!!

One thing that I didn't like....when I picked up the jeep...the matts were in a pile in the back of the jeep...I was sort of expecting the vehicle to be ready to drive away. It wasn't perfect but it was good quality. I purchased the platinum detail and also had paint chips covered. If you want perfection...you'll have to complete the last 1 or 2% yourself. I'm not too picky...so for me this was good enough and it was perfect by my standards.

I have been going to Bellingham Detail since I moved to the area in 1988. I think it's important to…read morewrite reviews that actually help the consumer, so here are some reasons why I have been a loyal customer for TWENTY THREE YEARS: 1. Quality: They offer the only hand car wash in the area, and the quality has always been impressive. 2. Convenience: The shop is located on Pacific Street which is easy to get to from anywhere in the county. It has never taken more than a day for the job to be completed. I can drop my car off in the morning on my way to work, get a ride from the owner to my workplace, and get a ride back to pick up my car at the end of the day. 3. Excellent Customer Service / Accountability: I am a tough customer and not shy about making critiques, and Lee is extremely easy-going and always willing to go the extra mile to accommodate. I stopped by once on a busy day for a mini detail, and Lee didn't charge me as a courtesy because of the wait. Customer service like that is not common among small businesses in this economy. 4. "Customer is Always Right": What really stands out to me is Lee's commitment to his customers and their satisfaction. Like me, many people are high-strung about their vehicles and will except nothing less than the most superior quality. An example of this is what I witnessed about a month ago when I picked up my car after having it detailed: a customer became aggressive because he could still see a nasty ding with exposed primer after it had been detailed. He insulted the service, and belittled the employee who tried to offer help. Lee stepped in and: a. explained that the scratch was too deep to be buffed-out; and b. offered a complimentary paint touch-up. The customer quickly changed his tune in light of this outstanding customer-care. Hence, why I am writing this review. 5. Consistency and Longevity: This, coupled with the high standards of quality sets Bellingham Detail apart from its competitors - which is supported by the fact that this is a local business and has been under the same ownership since 1980.
