July 20, 2023 Went here for dinner with my fiancé. Overall, we weren't too impressed. Everything is relative, so if this quality of food and service were at an Olive Garden it would be five stars, no doubt. However, although the burrata we ordered was very good, it didn't have one of the advertised toppings. My fiancé also says her Bellini was great. We were pretty unimpressed with our entrees, I got fra diavolo with calamari and she got the broccoli rab and sausage pasta dish. The calamari was pretty rubbery and my fiancé reports that her dish could have definitely done with some sauce. Overall, it was an average experience for the price point. read more

This place was extremely disappointing. We made a reservation and got seated at a bar table. What happened to the reviews of a nice quaint place. Had dinner on Wednesday and everything was excellent. The food was flavorful with really good portion sizes and the service was excellent. We loved our server Ray! We order the fried calamari to start to split between 3 of us. Very good and plenty to go around. A basket of fresh, crusty bread and oil for dipping was brought out even before the calamari. Our entrees included a special mahi mahi dish, pasta with a spicy vodka sauce and a chicken dish from the menu that was spicy, flavorful and overall amazing! Each came with choice of salad or soup (the Caesar salad and the pasta e fagioli were nice. We will return in the future. read more

A perfect meal and perfect service. We loved our meal here. This place was packed with locals, regulars, and tourists alike. The burrata appetizer was possibly the best appetizer I've ever had. I have been to Italian restaurants all over the world. And a lot of them were excellent. Being European I'm very picky about my tomato sauce, this place belongs to some of the best at least for me. The grilled chicken with the fresh mozzarella was also outstanding according to my wife. It was so good that we were going to back for dinner but unfortunately run out of time. If and when I'm back in town I will be back. I must try outstanding place. read more

Just left - NYE. Server was Devon and she was a wonderful server/waitress. The meatballs were excellent. Unfortunately, our meals were tasteless, I ordered a chicken dish and my husband ordered the special fish dish. Both meals had no taste. I ate very little and did not get a to go container. Just thought an FYI would be good. We asked to speak to a manager. Helen came to speak with us.... She had no response except the restaurant is full and my husband works in the kitchen. We told her we wanted no comps. She did not offer a drink, dessert or anything. We have sent many friends your way. Not anymore after speaking to Helen. read more

I will give 5 stars for the service by Adam! The food was also wonderful! But, we ordered after dinner drinks, and then shortly after that, we got our check. Then a different waiter came over and told us they needed the table now for another party? We had not yet paid the bill or finished our after dinner drinks. If they were going to set a time limit per table because it's New Years Eve, they should have told us when we made the reservation or when we arrived. If we knew this, we would NOT have ordered after dinner drinks at all. read more

Awesome spot, nice friendly ambiance, great food done well. Much better for fish dishes than most of the local fish places. Away from the murrell inlet hustle and bustle but a better for ppl that like seasoning and taste. Yep, had some unseasoned fish around at the more popular fish places. Got brochatta, grouper special, pork shoulder pasta special, martini, mules, whiskey. All prepared, cooked and presented well. The wait staff was nice and very attentive. read more

I have to do a second review because Costa is so exceptional! we had family guests in town who we had not seen in some time so we wanted a nice long visit. I also wanted to share Costa's relaxed atmosphere yet elegant dining experience with our family. I reserved one of the very comfortable "nook" tables knowing we would be able to have a more private, like at home, visit. We had a phenomenal evening! The service is impeccable! This night Ana was our server and I requested a slow moving evening giving plenty of time between courses. Ana delivered professionally throughout our 2.5 hour dining experience. I did not think their Lemoncello cake could be beat but They have another out-of-this-world dessert; an italian cream pie with pistachios !!!! omg incredible! We and our family members were thrilled with the entire experience! thank you Costa staff for making our night together so special! read more

Last night (8/23/24) we had a reservation for 19 people at this restaurant and upon arrival we found out that we would be sitting at four different tables. This was a bit odd but it was easy to get over however as we we're eating another customer took exception to the fact that we brought kids to the restaurant and begin making it an issue with the restaurant management who in turn confronted us regarding the presence of the children in the restaurant ultimately asked us to leave at the behests of the table of four who had been gesturing to us and staring at the kids throughout the meal. To make matters worse as we were finishing up these people came up to our table to scold us regarding our children's presence in what they defined as a fine dining experience which is definitely not the case. In addition the management asked us to leave after we had paid the bill which was approximately $1000.00 & to see the other party either got there dinner free or close to it. For what the place was for the management to overreact like this and treat our party of 19 like criminals for bringing children to a restaurant, was truly a terrible experience & really did send a message how this restaurant treats people who are away from home on vacation. When we called they knew we had children & there is a kids menu as well. It's really a shame that we spent all this money & were treated like this. . read more

Coming to Costa was not in our plan this evening but I am so glad that our other plan didn't work because it was absolutely wonderful. I first want to say that the service and waitress was outstanding. We started with the special burrata. It was wonderful! For entree's we got the spicy vodka penne, linguine with clams and the penne with sausage and broc rabe. It all really was great! The vodka sauce was probably my least favorite out of them all. Make sure you save a piece of bread to sop up all of the white wine broth from the linguine we finished our meal by splitting the cheesecake which was worth all of the calories LOL! We were staying at The Inlet Sports Lodge and decided to have a few drinks at the bar after an excursion to the Marshwalk. We couldn't have had a nicer time, minimal crowd for a Sunday night which made it very relaxing after the madness of the Marshwalk. The bartender, Jessica was a pleasure to talk with and she gave us the low down on what spots were better than others. We had reservations for the next evening and we decided we wanted to eat in the bar area at a high top. We started with the calamari that was light and crispy. (Sorry no pictures, too busy shoving it in my pie hole). My wife had the diver scallops with risotto and she loved them. I had the pork chop that was juicy, tender and delicious. The bourbon peach glaze was perfect with just the right amount. Highly recommended, nice quieter spot for the travel weary away from the tourist destinations. read more

Our friends brought us here for a celebration and I'm so glad they did! This is an Italian restaurant with a seaside flair. The starter bred was delicious as were our sautéed calamari and other appetizers. A variety of entrees and everyone cleaned their plates! Finished with chocolate cake, cookies & cream cake and cannoli, all were great. Our server was attentive and the entire pace of the meal was comfortable and relaxing. I have been to Costa many times, and expect to pay top dollar for a great meal. "Many times" is the key term. Lately, the Classic Italian dishes have become overly hot spiced. Vodka sauce..hot! Red sauce..hot! Stop it! I spent $300 on a meal at Costa that my guests found way toooooo spicy. Tone it down, dial it back, MANAGER, taste this stuff! It's too spicy, off the chart, not delicious. So good! Went here for a date night while in town. Super cute on the inside and great service, a d fantastic food. Warm french bread and garlicky, robust olive oil. Caesar salad was perfect. Burrata appetizer was pretty much a salad for two, though probably had way more arugula than we could eat. Husband had veal saltimbocca which was very good but a little too much marsala for me. I had crabcakes and fettuccini (they didn't have pappardelle which I would've preferred) and it was probably THE BEST CRABCAKE I've ever had. Lots of crab inside and somehow breading only on the outside? Pasta with it was ok, just a little too lemony for my taste. I had the triple chocolate cheesecake for dessert which was killer and so rich. Definitely recommend this place for great food, atmosphere and decently priced for the whole thing! read more

Careful. You may have to wait. Made a reservation for an important Birthday for a party of 5. Arrived on time and was sent outside to wait because our table wasn't ready. Waited 30 minutes outside past our reservation time. No updates were provide and could not find the matradee. Very unprofessional. Left to dine elsewhere. Great experience. I went a bit off menu and ordered my version of surf and turf. Ashley was an excellent server and totally rolled with my requests. She really took care of me - right down to redoing the homemade pasta that was a little under cooked and threw in extra shrimp too:). My meal consisted of a filet mignon perfectly cooked rare with asparagus, local shrimp prepared scampi style over homemade pappardelle pasta. Nice glass of a pinot Grigio and the warm bread with garlic olive oil. It was a standout meal. I will return! read more
