    This is not my favorite Sephora. They do not carry hair care products and on almost every shopping…read moreoccasion they were not fully stocked. I do not visit this location often because of the hassle of having low inventory. It never fails that when an item is out of stock they suggest that you purchase the items online. This has never happened at the other Sephora stores that I shop at. I appreciate the option of online purchasing but like I dislike having to piecemeal my purchasing experience. It's easier to stay home and make all of my purchases online. In addition to maintaining a low inventory of popular items this store is tiny. From the outside it seems fine but walking in It feels like a tight space. Since I had difficulty with a stroller I can assume that it might be very difficult for a wheelchair to maneuver around. I had to backtrack and reroute myself to get to some of the merchandise that I wanted to see. The employees are not as friendly and do not come across as having the same customer service training as you would expect from a Sephora.

Staff just walks away if you ask a question and they don't have the product or don't know the answer instead of offering an alternate solution. I I stopped in quickly a couple of weeks ago after running errands and doing housework. I wasn't all glammed up--no makeup, hair not done, wearing shorts and a t-shirt and flip-flops. I was completely ignored for about five minutes until I walked up to the one girl to ask for assistance. She looked me up and down like I was asking for the crown jewels and practically rolled her eyes at me as she told me they don't carry what I was looking for and walked away. I was obviously not worthy of her time. I ended up buying a substitute product, and when my account came up showing several thousand Beauty Insider points, all of a sudden she couldn't do enough for me. Too little, too late sweetheart. I don't like judgmental people, and she was as bad as they come. The entire time I was there the manager was off to the side of the store having a personal conversation with someone and completely ignoring the customers in the store. Unfortunately I have found that in most Sephora stores they don't give you the time of day unless you are either glammed out with 18 pounds of make up as you walk through the door, or a friend of someone that works there, so I do the majority of my Sephora shopping online these days. When the brick and mortar stores close because everyone is shopping on line, they will have no one to blame but themselves.

A couple of weeks ago, I stopped in to shop for pants but my husband went into the fragance section (what used to be Sephora) as we were looking for our fragance. We had no intention of shopping fragance but Val just made us feel so welcomed and relaxed, asked for our input and opinions, like she really wanted to get to know us. She even went above and beyond to look for a certain fragrance size even though her coworker said she already stocked up and she ended up finding it! Excellent customer service! She even sorted out so many gifts with purchase to select the one that contended our hearts lol. She was just amazing and pleasant to be with. Honestly, that's the first time I ever felt like that at a JC Penny.

    My family and I had a very disappointing experience at JCPenney. We were being checked out by an…read moreemployee named Marilyn when the register/gift card machine stopped working. Instead of handling the situation professionally, she became angry, started yelling, and repeatedly banged on the machine. She then stopped helping us, leaving the manager to step in and resolve the issue. The machine had already taken our $17 gift card when it crashed. Although we eventually received a replacement gift card, the process took far longer than it should have. It was a simple issue that became unnecessarily frustrating because of the poor customer service and lack of urgency. We also felt that we were treated differently because of our race, which made the experience even more upsetting. Overall, Marilyn's behavior was unprofessional, disrespectful, and unacceptable. I expect better customer service from JCPenney, and I hope management addresses this so other customers are treated with the respect they deserve.
