I decided not to take away a star for customer service, even though I probably should; but, I try to cut them some slack. I'm not going to harp on it too much because I don't feel as if I've ever been "passed aside" because I may not have the certain "look." I honestly think the customer service is lacking here because it is always jammed packed with customers and no matter how many employees are working, there just never seem to be enough to go around. I see them all running around like chickens with their heads cut off. I think if the store were larger, then they would be able to accommodate more employees to meet the needs of the many customers. While I generally only wear Chanel makeup, nail polish, and use all Chanel brushes (the exception being my concealer which is Benefit), I do cheat on Chanel every now and then with MAC. They have some pretty amazing shades when it comes to nail polish; I especially like many of their limited edition shades. I also use MAC eyeliner (it goes on like butter). I use my Chanel eyeliner during the day, but MAC eyeliner goes on darker so if I'm going out for the evening, I usually use my MAC liner. I also prefer the MAC liner over Chanel if I'm going to one of Disney's waterparks; the waterproof lasts all day and never runs. I can be in water all day long and when I leave, it still looks amazingly fresh. The Chanel works well in the water also, it doesn't run; however, it doesn't seem to last as long as the MAC does. The eyeshadows are brilliant and I even have one of the customizable palettes which holds 15 of the "magnetic" eyeshadows. I purchased these a few years ago while I was in the process of switching all my makeup to Chanel (unless you are wealthy, going completely Chanel is not a one day process). I wear the shadows occasionally, but not very often; they are so bright... I just feel I'm too old for them most of the time. I also have a few of the paint pots and a few glitters; again, I rarely wear because of the brightness. I prefer the more natural look of Chanel. But.... even though I'm now a "Chanel makeup girl," I still hold onto my MAC because every now and then it's a nice change to brighten things up and not be so natural - a little glitter never hurt anyone :) I never do pass up the opportunity to pop in this MAC store when I'm at Millenia to peak at the nail polish shades. Shhhhh... don't tell Chanel... it's our little secret! And while here, please do try to give the employees a break if the store is slammed (like it usually is); try to imagine yourself in their shoes trying to help everyone at once. Second floor right at the front entry that connects to the mall, those place is easy to find. I popped over to see the new stuff on offer for the season and Rob was quick to greet me. We talked about what I was looking for and he was kind enough to give me a sample to test out a product before committing to a full bottle. I grabbed a lipstick, liner and gloss with his help and he was sure to give me best practices, tips and tricks for application and touch ups. We talked about a couple concerns I had cause I'm pale and that's a factor when lipstick is involved. Checkout was a breeze and I was on my way in no time flat. What a great experience. I finally got the nerve to buy some MAC and now I'm addicted!!!! Aaahh! I get to use the makeup in photo shoots so why not have it home? I was greeted and I just wanted eyeshadow. I got the 15 colour palette, two eyeshadow brushes, eye primer, and 15 awesome colors to fill my palette with. I like everyday wear subtle colors (work, errands, etc) and bolder colors for going out. It ran about 270 when I was done. I plan on returning to get more brushes and other items. I have finally recieved my first MAC cosmetic, and I am now a fan! Great quality, and awesome choice in colors in the eyeshadow line. I am a type of girl that is faithful to my concealer brand, and powders (clinique and bare minerals are awesome). However when it comes to eye shadows I have always been a little more flexible. Victoria Secret has a great line, and so does even mabeline...But after getting my MAC collection of eyeshadows, I have to say its GREAT, and worth every dollar! I don't really shop at MAC anymore, I've moved on, but I got some items for Christmas that, needless to say, I did not care for and wanted to see if I could possibly exchange them. I work at the mall and so it was just after I had gotten off of work and it was a few hours before closing time so maybe the workers were just trying to get out soon, but when I went up to the counter and explained my situation to the woman working there and asked if I could possibly exchange them, she just looked at me and said "Well, did you buy it here?" to which I responded "No, I just told you I received these as a gift" and she just smiled slightly and said "Well sorry there's nothing we can do about it if you didn't purchase them from here." Okay...thanks. The products had never been used, nor opened, so I was told by some friends that I could exchange them but I guess not. Pretty typical for MAC. One reason why I stopped shopping there--rude employees at nearly every store I go to. So if I ever want something from MAC, I just buy online. read more

I'm a MAC-fanatic, I love MAC, it's the only make up I wear. (I have oily skin..everything else doesn't last or makes me break out) So this is great, it's higher end, but it lasts a lot longer. Anyway, my review about this particular location... I'm hoping he still works there, but there's a guy there named Matt, or Matthew. He's amazing. He's done my make up a few times back when he was at the Altamonte MAC, but I saw him here a few months ago. He is really the best that I've encountered. He's friendly, try to book an appt with him if he's still there! All the other girls are nice and talented, but he's really good at the dramatic look (I love bright and dark colors!) I've only had one "wth?" moment here. I was browsing to see their new collection a while ago and saw they have concealer in a aresol-can type thing now. I asked an artist how it is different from the Studio fix liquid, and she was just very airheaded "Well, for one, you don't just spray it all over your face". Like No S* Sherlock, I was just asking. I wouldn't say she was rude, just not the sharpest tool in the shed. It's kind of humorous, but yeah, this place gets PACKED. They're the only MAC around here that lets you recycle used items for a new eyeshadow (this is a MAC PRO location), so it's worth it when I'm recycling, other than that I just go to the one by my house. read more

I have had my fair share of employee issues with this location sadly. Yesterday was no exception. I had received an email for an event at Florida Mall(which I have never gone to) and called that store, who said that they don't have any appointment for me and asked which store I usually go to, to which I responded Millenia. They told me to call that store and see if they had an appt for me. So I called Millenia(this store) and explained the whole situation again. Jessica said we don't have you but we can put you in for the free demo of the summer collection, no problem (which is what the email was for). So I make my appt and come in to see the artist I met for another event on Wednesday (Alicia). When I told her that I had an appt she became very confused and said that this time it would be a minimum of $30 for her to demo my eye(which is supposed to be complimentary) or $50 for a whole face(which is not why I was there). She then said she went way above and beyond for me on the demo from the Pride line on Wednesday and she wasn't going to be doing that again...which is definitely not something I asked of her. She made me extremely uncomfortable sadly and I said if she didn't want to do the demo(which I had an email and appt for) then I would happily go to Sephora(since it was a few stores down). She said then that's what I should do and walked away from me. I have noticed that MAC has been treating customers like walking bank accounts and not humans for quite sometime. This has sealed the deal that I will NOT come back to this store. I'm sure they will throw a party about it...which is fine. I mean the other time I came in from an invite for a complimentary demo for a line...the girl they put me with literally asked for a pic of what I wanted, said she wasn't creative, and that she would rather be stocking than doing makeup because she's part time and didn't like doing people's makeup. Yes, that is exactly the makeup artist I want showing me a brand new collection... Anyways...so I went to Sephora. I was greeted warmly and they had an awesome brand rep from Anastasia of Beverly Hills showing off their new palette. She and I had an awesome time and I'll be buying that palette and a few more items today. MAC shouldn't just see dollar signs instead of human beings. When you put a price tag on something and force them to have to buy something they are just trying for their first time...you are going to wind up losing clients. But...when you don't pressure them...they might wind up spending more money just because they bonded with the artist and bought stuff they didn't even come in for. Bottom line...treat people with respect and not as your personal piggy bank. No wonder your staff always complains about the store being dead and not making any money. read more

This is a professional MAC store. And you can tell, the store is absolutely GORGEOUS! They had products that I wasn't aware of, and a very helpful crew. My Friend was given a lesson in shading and blending, and of course we both decided to spend a fair penny on the products at hand. I was perusing through Macy's and stop at the Mac counter. I wanted to treat myself to a new lipstick. A few months ago I purchased my new favorite lipstick Rudy Woo which is a matte red lipstick. It lasts all day with 1 maybe 2 applications. I decided to try another lipstick Violeta and Heroine which are in the purple family. Both colors were beautiful thanks to the Mac associate who found a wonderful lip liner to make the color pop just right. I choose the Violeta lipstick and a lip liner called Nightmoth. For my first "real" MAC experience, I guess I expected a little more. I've shopped at different MACs before for brushes and glosses, but this particular time I was looking to purchase some type of foundation or concealor and finish. The associate who approached me, Amy, was very nice, but a bit slow. I did have to talk myself into being more understanding than usual because after all, it is makeup so it needs to be just right. We tested out a few swatches here and there and finally, after about 45 minutes, she'd convinced me that she had the right shades since all of the other 10 combinations simply didn't work. When I looked at the test swatch at the store, it seemed fine and diminished the imperfections on my skin, so I was good to go. Somehow or another, I was talked into purchasing a lip gloss as well to round off my $85 purchase. While I do love how MAC treats my skin, I found that when I applied the products I purchased the next day, it made me appear way too light and ashy. I don't know what it is about MAC. I always have the intention of going in for one thing and I come out with five. It's like an ice cream store. So many choices and everything looks great. What I love most about MAC (aside from the products) is the customer service. The artists are always so helpful and friendly. I've never made a purchase at MAC that I've regretted. Their eyeshadow literally lasts all day long. I love that because I don't have a lot of time to reapply makeup thought the day. Their make up is a bit pricey, but it lasts a very long time. They also have a recycling program. For every 6 empty containers that you return, you are able to get a free lipstick. I'm a satisfied customer. read more

I've had the WORST customer service in the MM PRO store that I've EVER had with MAC. I'm a PRO card holder and hadn't received my new pro card in the mail yet (I had to renew membership) and Val the manager wouldn't let me use my license even though she admitted to me she could see my last order pro number etc. So, you mean to tell me I can get passed TSA agents at the airport but I cannot buy makeup???? You're kidding me??? I had to travel to the one at the Florida Mall...I had ZERO problems using my license there, the girl was very nice. MAC, I shouldn't have to travel 20 miles out of my way to buy a product from you when I'm spending THOUSANDS of dollars a year at your establishment. I really hate to take many stars, but it wouldn't happen if customer service sucked so bad. Ok, yes, I am at the Mall at Millenia, where you have to be living on money land and Louis Vuitton in order for them to even say hi. My clothing, hippy look...don't let that fool you, I bring money and shop every week, I just don't wanna dress like I'm escorting or something. Anyway, everytime I enter the store, no one approaches me, but when a flashy person enters the store, all the associates cling on to them! It makes me wanna shout out! But, I'm the flabbiest human, yelling and acting like the world gonna end is not gonna solve the problem. I have to grab someone in order to get new shadow, and I ask questions and they get angry and doesn't even want to help. After wearing darker eye shadows for so many years, an associate tells me I look like someone beat my ass. Like, are you kidding me?! And another time, another associate was cursing right in front of my face cause she wanted to go home while she was testing lipstick on me.Sometimes I am ready to pay, and I would stand by the register without a single soul to cash me out. And when I ask them to look up my makeup info that is stored at their system, they look at me like "for real, she shops here?" I will still shop here, because their makeup are great! First of all - I walk in and I start looking at stuff (while I was leered at by the two CSR's behind the counter texting on their phones). I had some questions about a specific pallet. I waited politely to ask the representative as she was with another customer. After she was done talking to the customer - she looked at me, rolled her eyes and walked away. The same customer before me started asking her the most random questions and the Customer Service Rep wouldn't give me the time of day (MAC - Disney Springs) and fell all over the girl to help her. If only the CSR could have seen through her own snotty stuck up ways - she'd have realized that the girl she deemed "worthy" to helping instead of me - was a decoy while her other two friends stuffed their pockets FULL of free stolen MAC merchandise (I saw them later splitting their haul - they got probably around $2000 in lipsticks and pallets (one had a complete Disney Resort BAG FULL of cosmetics) . I took the pallet I had questions about - put it on the counter - and walked to the Sephora store down the street, where I got such friendly service and they answered every question I had. I understand Mac tries the "We treat you like ***** so you buy our product to show us that you can afford it" - but there was literally 4 people at this tiny store on a Friday night - and Sephora had close to 50. Needless to say - that whole experience turned me off to MAC cosmetics period. I go out of my way to avoid their stores - and FYI - I spent $300 at Sephora that night. Ho Hum for Mac. read more

I really like MAC products but I avoid this location. I live right around the corner but prefer to travel to the Florida Mall location because the employees, for the most part, are more professional & friendly. MAC really needs to focus on customer service at the Millenia Mall location because if the service is bad, then people will just buy their makep elsewhere. MAC products are good but they are by no means the best. With all the competition out there for similar business (i.e. Sephora, Ulta) it would behoove MAC employees at this location to get their act together. I have come across a few sweet employees but they are few and far between. Such a shame really. read more

Maybe I should clarify this: It didn't take one try to buy my MAC products. It took several tries. And I spent $200 worth of make up in cash their AND I WAS DRESS EXTREMELY NICE EACH TIME! Not happening ever again. I am done wasting my time driving to that store and not getting helped. I now go to Macy's which ensure me I am helped every time I am there. For being an ongoing customer for the past couple of years I seen that the service at this Mac is getting better now. Previously me and my friends noticed that we would get better service if we looked dressed up. Heels, make up, the whole nine yards then a worker would reel you in like a fish! I found as of lately the whole customer judging technique has been fading out. Now there is always a quick hi and workers are more attentive than ever are willing to help. Good makeup always deserves down to earth workers who are willing to service in order to sale their product. They have been getting alot better at the service...maybe they have been getting rid of the bad eggs. Whatever the case maybe I am and will be a faithful Mac client. They have amazing quality makeup with amazing pigmentation. Mac never lets me down and if one location does there are plenty of others around. =] read more

They really need to work on their customer service. Their makeup is definitely not the best. Way too cakey looking on a lot of the associates. But there are some staple items that a makeup lover enjoys having from the brand. The women at this location are clearly thirsty to make a sale and ignore anyone whoe doesnt look like a tourist. This is a two-pronged review, one which will address the uninitiated into the world of MAC and also those who are well into the obsession. Let's start with MAC for the newbies. Makeup is makeup, but MAC is MAC. In general, MAC produces quality makeup at moderate-end prices. If you've been comfortable all your life with the same eyeliner and lipgloss you've purchased at the drugstore, then maybe MAC isn't for you. That's okay. However, if you want to start building a sizeable collection of good, solid colors from eyeshadows to lipsticks, MAC is a great place to start. There's plenty of choices in terms of color and texture and finish that it makes me dizzy sometimes thinking about it. Of course, MAC isn't always about in-your-face "clown" colors, and they have a healthy selection of neutral and work-safe colors. Do NOT be intimidated by the makeup artists with the crazy designs on their face -- it's just their job! These days, it's easier than ever to customize your experience with create-your-own palettes: 4 shadows and a cute compact can be yours for less than $45. Like I said before, $45 may sound steep, but it'll probably last you years upon years. If you like cosmetics, give MAC a shot, and as their tagline says: All ages, all races, all sexes. There really *is* something for everyone. For those who are quite into MAC already: The MAC Cosmetics store at Mall at Millenia cannot win more of my accolades. It is one of the nation's few MAC Pro stores, selling Pro product like Chromacakes and Paintsticks that you can't find at MAC department store counters and freestanding stores. The store is small and compact, but manages to squeeze everything in without feeling cramped. But it is your expected "kid in a candy store" moment when you step in. So many colors, and not enough eyes/lips to try them all. The store is always kept clean and most everything is in its right place in their display. Once in a while, they may have stock issues and run out of something you want. If it's a limited edition item you want and they are sold out, you might as well try the MAC counter at Macy's as they typically do not run out as quickly as the Pro store. The service has always been wonderful for me. I've never been treated curtly or rudely, unlike some of my experiences at other MAC counters/stores in the Central FL area. There are occasions that I dress "down" or go right after work and look a little homely, but they still help me out nonetheless. However, I will point out that if I go there dressed up nicely and have my full makeup on, I get even better service. I'll chalk that up to the nature of the business, though. read more

ok i LOVE MAC and i've spent thousands on the products. i normally go to the SF store, this was my first time at the millenia mall MAC store. amazing choices, tons of colors and different products that you cant find elsewhere so i was very excited about that but the SERVICE was HORRIBLE horrible horrible! i just could go on for hours about how aweful they were so just trust me on this one, they were rude. so go there if you want to buy something and leave, but if you need advice or help... i think you should go to some other counter or store instead :( read more

I'm super tired after a day at this mall but I couldn't go to bed without posting a small review which I'll probably edit to actually add details like we all like to read !!! So ... There's an ANGEL working in this store called Sean Patrick .... He's as fabulous as his name and he is not the typical male make up artist (beautiful drag and contour like OMG !!! Lovely! But not Sean... At least tonight) he's just gorgeous and pretty natural looking, with a beautiful face and soul that KNOWS what's he's talking about and what he is recommending. He reminded soooo much to Wayne Goss (my fav male make up artist) so ... I didn't have interaction with anyone else but they all seemed happy and everyone had gorgeous make up and not too crazy considering the trends and who they are ... But you can see they know their stuff. Anyway .... I'm soooo happy to be back to the MAC family as I was using another stuff for a while .... Since 2013, I have been getting my make up done at both counters 3 or 4 times a year. Always buying product, tipping, and having my favorite artists make me glamorous. This past year though, both MAC counters have gone down hill. Its mostly the way the counters are ran. I haven't been able to get an appt at all this year because every time I call, (days and/or a week in advance,) the employee tells me there's only one person on the floor so they can't do an appt. I called yesterday to schedule an appt 2 weeks in advance and the girl tells me the schedule isn't out yet to know what coverage they have and to call back the next day. I just called, it's 9:30am and Carla answers- she puts me on hold and after 5 minutes the phone starts ringing as if my hold time was too long, and someone picks up and hangs up! Is MAC not making enough money to put more than one employee on at a time? Come on! Last month, I had to go to Sephora, and you know what...? It was great service, tons of people everywhere, make up was on point, and they didn't even charge me! I'm calling Sephora to get my Christmas party make up appt scheduled.. read more

My review is really for MAC Cosmetics in Macy's at 3505 East Colonial Dr. I flew in from the Northeast to Orlando for a wedding. I made an appointment with this particular location because it was the closest to my hotel, The Grand Bohemian. Stephanie, who is a twin, was my makeup artist and did an AMAZING job. I was beyond impressed with her professionalism and her bubbly personality. I am not an easy woman to please especially when it comes to getting my makeup done but Stephanie WOWED me! Thank you so much Stephanie! I never wanted to take my makeup nor eye lashes off! If I am to ever fly into Orlando again, I will definitely make an appointment to get my makeup done with you! Never in my life have I ever experienced such pitiful and horrible customer service. I brought my friend to the location on the second level of macy's (I wasn't aware there was a much larger store further into the mall) in order to show her some foundation that i really liked. 3 of the 4 employees were chatting in a circle one of which actually managed to make eye contact with us, but continued to chat on and completely ignore us. So we decided to go into the drawer and just grab it for ourselves since clearly we weren't going to be helped anytime soon. That was all it took for, what we assumed to be, the manager to storm up without a word and nearly shut the drawer on my friends hands and start screaming at us, completely ignoring the fact that her employees were oblivious to the 5 other customers also browsing their products and not receiving help. It really puts a terrible image to the brands name which is a shame since I actually do like a few of their products, but this experience made me never want to support their company again. read more

Store is beautiful and clean.. Even though I love buying makeup ,I always feel tension and dread going to the store....My problem is the employees. You go in there without makeup on and they treat you like crap. The employees act like they're gods gift and their job is a prize to have. They make you feel like your not good enough .I can never go in there and peacefully look at the big color selection of eyeshadows or lipsticks w/o any employee standing over me. They just ask and ask if I would like to buy something and I'm say I'm looking. By the time Im ready to buy something, If I just buy one product they will get mad. Like they expect you to spend a lot of money so they could make commission to pay their rent one time. Ive had multiple bad experiences here.only reason why I come back is because it's the only pro store near me. I've only found 2 nice employees there but sadly they don't work there anymore.
