Very disappointed that they don't have much Esthetician supplies. I needed fan brushes and mask brushes, bowls etc etc to do facials (I'm in Esthetician School). I had to order on Amazon, which is a shame. I did buy some IMAGE products, and wax removal solution. The young woman helping me was very kind and really embarrassed they don't have much for Esthies. I'll return when I need to replace what I bought. Just don't shop there expecting a ton of Esthie products. They are geared mostly for Hairdressers. read more

Nothing like rushing from the salon before your client arrives to get her hair color only to get to the store and see they have some temporary hours and are closed before normal business hours. It's bad enough you aren't open on Sundays, now we have to play guessing games during the week when you're going to be open. Seriously considering using another color line just so I don't have to come to here and go to CosmoProf instead. read more

I get all my professional hair care products from this place. They carry variety of hair care brands. I like that when you call in to ask for certain item and if they have it, they offer to grab the item and put on hold for you until you come in. I love that! I can go straight to the register and pay for my product once I come in. All the workers there are very friendly and approachable. read more

I have been shopping in this store for over 13 years now (back when it was West Coast Beauty Supply) I have lived in Reno, NV and all over Northern California and I have to say, the ladies in the Elk Grove store are some of the friendliest. They are helpful and are more knowledgeable about products than I expected. I have taking many classes through CosmoProf, including all of the Wella advanced color training and California Smooth. I have been using California Smooth and Rusk Str8 Treatments for over a year now and after chatting with one of the staff, I think I will add CHI's keratin treatment to my menu. I just left this Cosmo Prof and I have to say, I've been to at least 6 different locations and I got the best customer service at this one. Not only were we pains for walking in 3 minutes before closing, with no idea what we were going to get, but they were so helpful when we asked for advice! Melissa and Jameisha were the only two there and we didn't end up leaving until 6:10 and running frantically through the store to grab last minute items, but they were polite as ever! Came into this location looking for a semi permanent dye by IROIRO as I have purchased this before from a different location by Freeport...I walked in and the older lady with brunette hair and dark pink panels didn't acknowledge me when I initially walked in so I said hello thinking that maybe she didn't hear the bell jingle when I walked in when she was at the front desk also located by the front door. I asked her if she could point me into the direction of where the product was located...she had no idea what I was talking about so I pulled it up on my phone to show her and then explain that I had purchased some at a different location a few weeks prior to coming there. She proceeded to tell me cosmo prof never sold IROIRO and that she's worked there for a very long time and has never heard about a product such as IROIRO semi dye and that I must has went to sallys...I explained that I don't go to Sally's and that I was pretty sure I got the product from COSMO....long story short she called the previous location I made the IROIRO purchase from and what do yoy know they had it there. I thanked her for checking and started to head to the door...she didn't say goodbye or have a nice day instead she said go get a slice of pie and take my dog to the spa when I get there (dog spa is located next to Cosmo prof) I don't even own a dog lol weird and aloof experience...I'll never come back to that location and hopefully the lady at the front desk has better days going forward read more

I would give this store ZERO star if possible. The black girl with curly RED hair is very rude and give me a hard time. Do NOT come if you don't want to deal with a person like this. It Will ruin your day and NOT WORTH your time and money to buy one bottle of shampoo! I agree with all the one star review on here. So this is the third time coming to this location ( I'm new to the Elkgrove area) and I must say in all the years of being in the beauty industry 15+ i have never had such a bad experience at a cosmoprof! But man this lady's take the win all three times no customer service what so ever I am never greeted, let alone talked to. Like today one of the girls was putting stuff on the shelves and as I'm getting the products that I need she's just staring at me like I'm in her way, I believe she forgets that I'm the customer but again with the star I'm giving this place what should I expect right! Even when I get rung up they just hand me my receipt with nothing said. There service here is horrible. The staff here is so rude. I've had very few experiences where the staff even said "hi" or "can I help you with anything?". I've ordered products through them that they don't normally stock and they not only forgot to call me when my order came in but they sold half of my order! There is one girl who is actually friendly but the other girls are always gossiping and act as if asking them a question is interrupting them. If it weren't for their location being near my route to work, I would never come here. read more

I've tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but they've consistently been rude every-time I go in. I'm new to town here in Elk Grove and I have to say this is the filthiest Cosmo Pro I've ever been in , so unorganized, products are all sloppy looking fallen down or not stocked . No help whatsoever I wonder if corporate knows the condition of this supply house I've never seen anything like it ever! Seems there's no motivation and lack of care . This store definitely lacks leadership. Very sad to see . I giving 1 star because I have to it won't let you give less. read more

I really hate to do this & give a low rating, but this cosmoprof isn't the same anymore they have a full new staff including the manager with sucks. Only one of the old girls is there which is cool but lately when I go she isn't there anymore :( the new staff is ok I guess their not as helpful as the ones before who knew me like a book an always recommended me the best of the best products and with a new manager and workers it's just not a happy environment as it was and the girls are just whatever and not fun to socialize with like the old workers Asha, Melissa, & Kristina, I hope Regina doesn't leave yet but I still shop there just wish the staff was a bit better. read more

I love going here! The other day I was browsing around and found hairspray that was on clearance for $2.00! I also love how it's only 5 minutes away from my house as well. If I could give them zero stars I would. Extremely poor customer service, there where at least 5-6 employees there and I was never greeted, or ask if I need help finding anything. An associate also was very rude, rolling her eyes at me when I pointed out their lack of service. The assistant manager herself did not apologize either for the poor service. They felt that stocking merchandise was more important than the customers that come in. I hope they loose business and closed this location because they don't deserve to be there. read more

Honestly this place is like home. Just like a few yelpers, I too had manyyyy issues with the African American lady with curly short hair, BUT SINCE SHE HAS LEFT, this place is amazing! Being a licensed Cosmo I love coming to cosmoprof for my supplies. Most of the time the employees are very nice and help out but every once in a while they just don't wanna deal with people. I love their selection of products and all the great deals. It is a place only for licensed cosmos so it is not open to the public. Still a lot better then salon centric! read more

I have been going to this location for years but in the last few months or so I would say their customer service & quality of new employees being hired has gone extremely downhill... two times I have gone in & I was basically ignored. No one was at the register or up front at all when there was like 4 employees working. Instead they were in the back doing who knows what & then when they did come out it wasn't to help me.... it was to mess with the radio. I was ready to pay & still no one seemed to pay attention. Honestly if I wasn't an honest person I could've just walked out with the basket of stuff & they probably wouldn't have noticed. I use to enjoy going to this location when it had better customer service & helpful employees but honestly I dread it now. The staff at this store is rude and not knowledgeable! I had asked if they have a dryer that's out of stock. They said they would check in the back and would call me later. Well, it took them well over a week to call and tell me that don't have it in the backroom!!! By that point, I had a already bought a better dryer at Salon Centric at a great price! Dec 7 & 8 for US is 10% off everything. First time going to this cosmoprof, went in to buy wax which was 2/$17-$18 on sale and end papers for $.99/box regular price. When I went to the register, she rang me up, wax came up to $14.99/each and end papers at around $2 and she told me the total. Had to tell her the wax is on sale and the end papers were priced $.99/box plus she didn't add the 10% off. So she was like oh okay, so she had to check the prices on the floor and ask her manager and supposedly some sale prices and discounts don't apply to students which I find funny cause the one on Alhambra blvd, I was able to get everything that was on sale or discounted whether or not I was licensed or a student. So please check your receipts and double check on whether you can purchase items on sale for listed prices. read more
