Plenty of parking as we went as soon as they opened on Saturday but from the signs posted it appears that parking could be an issue around lunch and dinner as they share the parking lot with some restaurants and if I can remember correctly a nail salon. recommend! read more

Since covid they've seemed to revamp their staff. Everyone in there is actually really nice and helpful which is a HUGE step up from before. As this is a popular store due to location they are frequently out or product but the ladies working there are really helpful at checking the back just incase and letting you know possibly projected restock dates. This review is for whoever is working the night shift this evening, she had purple hair and the worst attitude. I have been shopping at this location for years, and usually come in the early day and am met with wonderful, and friendly service from Felicia. Tonight was a different story...we ate next door at Sushi Cafe and decided to pop in for a few things. Upon entering I was met with ..."we close in 15 minutes" as a greeting. Okay... While I picked up the few things I needed she rolled her eyes at my kids, scolded them for touching the hair swatches hanging on the shelves, and told them "don't touch ANYTHING" First of all...I get it...not everyone is into kids, but...they are my kids. I'll tell them what's up, and two toddler boys petting hair swatches is the least of your worries, the aisles were full of product and boxes, rolling chairs, the rear of the store was piled high of incoming stock and you could not access the rear wall without having to step over the full cardboard boxes piled high. Rather then get to work on all this jazz, purple hair continued to yell the countdown from the front of the store "uhm..I'm closing my register in 5 minutes!" (At 5:54pm) Really?? Not a second to spare huh?? I get it. Retail sucks, but don't hire people who can't at least fake it until the front door is locked for the night. read more

I went in yesterday morning, just to check out the duo sales. First no one walked out of their office or the back to say hi NOTHING. This was about 9am. There was an older lady and a you younger lady. Not the employees I usually see in the evening (Disclaimer-evening shift employees are very friendly and helpful). When they finally walked out from the back, I did not get one "hi how can I help you?" Not one "hello" not one smile, NOTHING! I'm not sure if they had a bad day or what not, but it was very uncomfortable. My 3yr old daughter was scolded for touching the hair swabs. This was probably the worse customer service I have ever experienced. These two ladies need some big time training or maybe another job that is not customer service oriented. read more

The location is perfect, parking can be tricky as the spaces are tight. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. It's not quite 5 stars because the stock is hit or miss, mostly a miss. Not sure if corporate just sends whatever they think or if a manager creates a purchase order based on sales but something is off. I come here 1-2 times a week and the stock for Paul Mitchell the demi has been low. Came yesterday morning and the toner I've been looking for was not there (it's been a month) they were putting out stock so I made it a point to come today. They had one bottle of the toner I wanted and of others that weren't in stock yesterday there was only one each as well. What are the odds that someone came in and bought them all except one (slim). Yet every time I go to Natomas or Howe they have the shades I need. It's not a coincidence sorry. read more

My place to go when I need my professional supplies!! The place is neat and has most of the items in stock when you need it. Oh! And when you need help over the phone to find something, the staffs don't hesitate to assist you. So I'm sure no one from this store or corporate will read this post and it's sad that they could really care less about the professionals they serve. I went in not really looking for anything in particular. The staff was friendly and greeted me upon entering. I browsed around and found a couple of things I needed and proceeded to the registers. The cashier yells "I'll take you at number one" I have no idea what that means. All the registers had product and books scatted so I looked at her as she steps up to a register and she says "right here". I had two small items and my standing at what was "register two" was way too far for her to pick up my items and take them the 4 steps to her register. Once I placed the items at register "one", it wasn't working so we were back to where I was originally standing and can you guess?!?! I had to pick up my two items and move them. Must have weighed way too much (processing caps and disposable capes) So as she rang up the products one came up $1.00 more than The posted sticker on the shelf (nice trick posting prices so you have to lift the flap on the shelf, o always check and take mental note) I mention that's not the posted price and she huffs and says "well it's probably wrong" I said it was posted at the lower price, so I walked to the back of store to show her the tag and the price I said was posted. She grabbed it off the shelf stomped to the front never saying a word . Then went to the office to grab an associate who had to show her how to adjust the price. They price was adjusted, I paid, I left... I wouldn't have made a fuss over a dollar but the rudeness of the employee was unprofessional and not warranted. I won't ever shop here again. I'll take my biz over to Salon Centric and Basset on Howe where they appreciate the small biz owners and are always friendly. PS... any of you pros out there should know this is a Sally's corporation for the pro side. Let's all start supporting the small biz guys who really want to help us grow. Greedy Company's like Cosmoprof are bad biz and should retrain all the wanna be and retired hairdressers who couldn't make it behind the chair so they work here. So I'm my moms assistant who is a hairdresser and came to this location to get some supplies for her. I walked in to the store, in it was rap music, was not even acknowledged(well I got a dirty look from a certain brassy red head) anyways! I began to gather my items I needed to collect and asked the brassy red head for an opinion she ignored me at first till I asked again, then she tried talking down to me instead of answering my question like a professional. When it came time to pay the brassy red head who's name is "ally" asked for my Cosmo prof card (which I don't have, again I'm an assistant and keep in mind my mom and I have done this before at other cp locations and they were more than happy to sell to me) so I told her I have the number of the card so she could look it up, she refused. When I told her I've done this before she went to go call "the manager" who was just as useless as her. Mangers name is "ally" as well, told me they can't sell to me. I gave them an idea to call my mom to speak to her, they refused.. After leaving empty handed because the staff was very in willing to help me, I went to the Cosmo prof on Arden! They were sweet hearts and were more than willing to sell to me with no hassle! So if you don't mind attitude and a lack of customer service skills dare to go here! I have shopped at this location for over 25 years, back in the day when it was West Coast Beauty Supply. I swear their employees get more knowledgeable, professional and helpful every time I visit, which is usually monthly. A favorite product I use BCL Cream wasn't on the shelf which broke my heart. The cashier was kind enough to look it up and special order several for me. My order will be here in less than a week. Terrible customer service. The store is a mess, they don't bother to put the sale tags on the shelves. When items are on sale that price doesn't necessarily come up when purchasing. I always have to point out items on sale. This week I noticed as I left the store a price was charged more than on the tag. When I pointed it out, the manager got terse and said she would have to call the DM. She went back in her office and disappeared for nearly 10 minutes, finally I said I would just come back to sort it out later as I needed to get to work. Went to this CosmoProf for the first time today. The lady at the front desk was very attentive and answered all of our questions. The store was also very tidy and large. Carried a lot of products! However, I was looking for a specific Nail Hardener (that I find to work better than any nail hardener out there), Nailtechiques, but unfortunately they did not carry it. I had to settle for Nail Tek. Which isn't a bad brand, I just find the other brand a lot better for my nails. They did carry a full recovery kit of Nail Tek, which included a foundation, therapy and renew product all in one kit! Definitely a plus and made me forgive them for not carrying my preferred brand. Okay my review is kind of weird because I have never shopped there sadly I don't have a cosmetology license even though I am an airbrush tech. Anyway I called to ask if there was any way I could pick up a product there without a license. Sadly I cannot but my review is about the man who I spoke with on the phone. I think his name was beau. The ladies here are amazing! Very helpful every time I come. I have to occasionally bring my daughters in with me and they always acknowledge their young curious questions. I used to live very close to this location while in beauty school. Love this location. Staff is very friendly. And right away asked if we needed assistance. I moved kind of far from this location and have been shopping at the location on Freeport. Unfortunately that staff at that location is very rude and I only went there due to convenience of location. My sister who attends cosmetology school tried to buy color here and they refused to sell it to her claiming students come in asking too many questions about the products. I've never heard of cosmoprof doing that and I'm a licensed beautician. they should be able to ask questions, we were all students once. Either way she went to the one off Freeport and they gladly sold it to her so I'm not really sure how effective that is. read more

i have my Esthetician license. I go here often for hair products. They usually have great deals on salon hair products. The workers are very helpful and know there stuff. The location is easy to get to and every time I have been there is parking. I sometimes also go with my two younger children and I use a double stroller and its easy to go through the aisles. read more
