This Sephora location is located inside of Arden Fair Mall which is not the most convenient location since you do have to deal with the traffic and parking, but the inside is big and usually stocked fairly well. I had to visit this past Saturday for some restock on facewash, moisturizer, vitamin c serum and a couple of other items. They had everything I needed in stock thankfully! It was busy being as it was 2 days after Christmas, but the checkout line moved quickly and the girl at the counter was super friendly. Unfortunately, no one asked if I needed assistance, especially when I was wondering around trying to find a specific brand, but it didn't leave a sour taste in my mouth like when it happens at other businesses. Located inside the Arden mall. The store can get pretty busy but it's usually well stocked so you can often find what you are looking for. Customer service is hit or miss. Today I dropped in for over half an hour, and not a single person greeted me or offered me help. It wasn't because employees were helping other customers either. Employees were standing around having conversations .. almost the entire time I was there. One employee in particular was even standing in my way (having a conversation about side hustles, etc?) while I was trying to pick the right shades of makeup for myself from new products I've never tried before. Again, no help offered! The line at the register was also really long, and only one cashier was working. Normally I'd be patient with that, but it was frustrating given that I saw at least two employees standing around. Inventory is there, but customer service is lacking. Management needs to step it up. read more

Let me start by saying that I had two different customer experiences in the same visit. One was very positive and motivates me to come back to this store. The other experience...not so much. The good: I came in for an Anastasia event and the wonderful person who helped me was so sweet and welcoming. She helped me apply a new product I wasn't familiar with that I ended up really liking,, and walked away with a couple new products I'm excited to try. She gave me 5 star service. However... The bad: I also came in for the new Vegamour volume line and was helped by a very nice person. I was looking for a specific product and we were discussing it. Then another customer walked up and needed help. I was still asking her questions and wasn't quite done yet, but she then proceeded to stop helping me completely and helped the other person and walked away. I know that it's a normal thing to help multiple people at the same time and if she had told the other person that she was wrapping things up with me and will help her in just a second, the experience would have been a positive one. But that didn't happen. As I was checking out, the employee came up to me to apologize for what just happened. But I also noticed she helped the other customer completely before approaching me. I really like the service you get at Sephora, For my issues they recommended a Korean product and so far I really like it. The cost was minimal. I bought three items for less than $60. The line to purchase was extremely long and they were nice enough to ring me up without having to go to the cash register. This Sephora location is convenient since it's close to where I live, but unfortunately, my experience with customer service has been hit or miss. I've visited a few times hoping to get a proper color match for my foundation, but I've been let down. On multiple occasions, I felt like the sales associates weren't interested in helping me--no one seemed to have the time or expertise to assist me properly. I tried three different brands and shades, each suggested by a different associate, but every time I left the store, my makeup would oxidize and turn orange on my skin. It was honestly frustrating. It wasn't until I had my makeup professionally done twice that I finally found a match that worked for my skin tone. Both times, I loved how beautiful and confident I felt with my makeup--everything looked so natural and flawless, and I left feeling amazing. I shouldn't have to go through all that extra effort just to get the right color match. It's disappointing because I've heard great things about Sephora, but at this particular location, I've been left feeling like my needs weren't a priority. I really hope they improve customer service and make sure their associates are better trained to assist with color matching in the future. read more

You can just about find any perfume, cosmetic item and skin care with a very large selection of anything you need including hair care products. I went wedding dress shopping on 6/24 Location in Arden mall I had made an appt for a full glam make up services prior and confirmed many times The day before my appointment the manager called to say that my appointment would be canceled because the artist had a medical emergency and would not be able to assist me. This was devastating and heartbreaking and I cried for about an hour before she called me back to say she was going to bring in someone from another store or someone who she knows as a friend or something I'm not exactly too sure I went to my appointment Gabe did my eyes and Cesar did my color match and foundation. They were so knowledgeable and so kind they were friendly. They made me feel comfortable. They did a wonderful job on my make up. I definitely recommend those two. I would definitely go back again. I may use them again for my engagement photo shoot The only con I would say is, I didn't realize I had to pay extra for the lashes I would have used my own that I had in my purse Overall fantastic service. Went to this sephora with my friend. We both have worked in the beauty world for 8+ years. We went in dressed comfortable, it's raining out, and just wanted to swatch new things that we don't have at our stores. Immediately we got asked multiple times if we needed help, first 2 times it's good customer service but after that it was repeat every 2 minutes. One guy snuck up behind me and asked if we needed help after 4 separate people already asked! We eventually made it over to fragrance and noticed hourglass concealer on an end cap . I told my friend that I use it on my clients, she decided she wanted to buy it and before we could even figure out where it was the same guy who already snuck up on me snuck back up on us AGAIN and I asked him where hourglass was. As he took us there he said on his walkie talkie "IM TAKING THEM TO HOURGLASS!". I started my career in an ulta, and worked my way to be a total high end brand representative . I get it I really do but they lost not one but 2 customers by judging my friend and I and assuming we were stealing. My friend is black, and I am white, my makeup was not done like a typical makeup artist (i'm not working) and she had none on. I am aware that my baggy pants and baggy sweater can hold a lot of products in them but at the end of the day this was borderline harassment and made my friend and I extremely uncomfortable. Every time I have gone inside with my work clothes I am treated fine, I even get asked by their customers if I work there! I realize this is an issue that they face a lot but at this point they're just losing customers. We both had money to spend and left with nothing because of how done we were. I don't know if this was racial because of my friend or if this was just them judging by the clothes we wore. Whatever it was they need to fix it immediately. read more

I came in yesterday (Monday) for a 60 minute makeup service. I made the appointment midnight prior to the day (Sunday 12+ am) for Monday 4pm. I got a voicemail at 2:23 pm on the day of my appointment (Monday) stating that my makeup artist couldn't make it and they have to cancel my appointment. I immediately called them and they offered to cancel or change the day of my appointment but I have a scheduled event I cannot cancel and I really needed that makeup service. The manager said they will try to find someone who can do my makeup as my said event cannot be cancelled and I needed the service. I got a callback after ~25 minutes and they said they found someone to do my makeup but someone will do the color swatch and another someone will do the rest of my makeup. I specifically detailed everything above to make a point because I read another review here prior to booking of someone who had a similar situation as mine. It should've been a red flag for me but I gave them the benefit of doubt and still made my booking knowing full well this exact situation can happen to me. (I should've learned to see red flags as red flags but I still forced what I wanted.) I honestly got pissed off because of the hassle of them trying to cancel and the unknown of if my service will push through or not. They had the whole day of Sunday or morning of Monday to cancel on me and yet they did it close to my booked time. I could've looked for somewhere else for a makeup service if they just let me know the situation earlier. I booked a makeup service for my wedding anniversary photoshoot and I was excited for it for weeks and was looking forward to "The Day". I woke up early to do my own hair. I just couldn't do my own makeup. If only I could, I would've done it on my own and not rely on other people. But unfortunately, I am not skilled on that department so I am willing to pay for it. Anyway, all turned out well except for the hassle and anxiety from getting that call that there's no makeup artist 1 & 1/2 hour prior to my booked service. When I got there at the location, I was immediately assisted. Someone did the color swatch then Bryan stepped up to do my full makeup. He was extremely skilled and knowledgeable on skin texture and color. I showed peg photos of what I wanted and how I wanted my makeup done and Bryan did an amazing job. I was lucky that he was the one who did my makeup service. He was very hygienic throughout the whole process and the finished makeup look was AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL it was PERFECT. I love Bryan's work. Either the makeup swatch samples weren't the best of shape (seeing high-end sample palettes looking tarnished made me sad lol) or non-existent at all even though there are placeholders for them (I call blatant stealing shenanigans going on.....the perfume rollerball shelf especially looked ransacked). Some of the displays were messy also. There were staff members who were walking around aimlessly when clearly there needs to be something done to this place. I was first helped at the Folsom Palladio location 2 days ago, and I was looking for a new foundation to use. The lovely rep there recommended me to try with the NARS liquid foundation. I bought 2 different shades and because of COVID, we weren't allowed to test try products. So I had to test at home. Unfortunately, those 2 colors were completely off, so I went to the Arden Fair location today, and my helping assistant Connie, was able to understand my needs and frustration on why the first 2 colors did not match. She was very knowledgeable about the product and knew exactly what she had to do. She was quick and already knew which colors would be best for my tone, and the both of us chose 1 of the 3 she recommended. Now that I'm home, I decided to try on the new tone, and boyyyyy I am IMPRESSED how accurate the foundation blends with my skin! It looks less cakey and suuuuuper natural. I have been wanting to buy a specific foundation for a while now. I did some research and finally decided to buy it. I originally shopped at fountains at Roseville and left with the foundation but when I got home and applied it, did not color match. I decided to try this location. I went in about an hour and half before closing. I'm t was very busy and was not greeted upon arrival by the two employees standing by the door which is fine because sometimes the do the complete opposite and stay on you like fly's on poop. Anyway I had narrowed down the colors I thought would match and grabbed the bottles. I couldn't find any sponges so I asked the lady at the door. She said sometimes we have them at the end of the aisles, you can even use the big mirror. Great, I walk over and try the two colors. I couldn't decide so as I was turning to look for help I accidentally dropped the bottle, broke and shattered! Well at least I got her undivided attention now. I even helped her clean the mess I created off the floor! I should get paid for that js. Anyway she grabbed another associate Pat! She asked her to assist me I explained to Pat my situation and gave me a quick glance she said the colors I had were not it and told me what color I needed. I asked her to "scan me" just to be sure and she did while reassuring me she had Been color matching for over 20 years! She was not lying the color she grabbed matched was perfect. Every time I go there is a billion people snd staff is running all over the place. Hard to get help at this location. I prefer going to the roseville one honestly. But unlike ulta they do have a lot of brands not round at other beauty places like the new Fenty collection by RIRI. I could barely get a look or swatches it was so crowded. Plus most of it was already out of stock. You know there was going to be a big crowd for that so I don't know why they put it in a small section right in the middle of the store. My makeup appointment is a 4 star and the store itself is a 3 star. I scheduled an appointment for an entire makeover for this Halloween event I was attending that evening. My makeup artist was Alexis. She was absolutely amazing. She took her time with me and didn't rush. She was very thorough in explaining each of the products. She did an amazing job on my makeup. She recommended these amazing eyelashes that I absolutely love! I was given compliments all throughout the night. The one thing I did not like about this Sephora was that I was not greeted by anyone at the door. I had to walk all the way to the cash register just to let them know I had an appointment. Thank you so much to the kind woman who helped me today. I wanted to exchange a concealer and perfume roller I bought last week. The concealer was too dark on me and the perfume reminded me of my grandma (not in a good way) when I put it on. I wish I asked her name, but she was very patient with me and didn't make me feel rushed. She took time to color match me, but unfortunately the right color was sold out in store and online (Rare beauty is pretty much sold out of all their best products. IYKYK #teamselena ) anyways... then we moved on to perfumes where she asked what I liked and sampled some with me I might like.
