Such a cute coffee place. They have a lot of choices for regular coffee, specialty coffee, and non-coffee. I have never been here, but the lady was really nice and suggested the Samoa. Awful drinks and even worse service. I got one of their blended coffees and there was a hair in it. I've tried multiple options of their drinks and they're all very disappointing. I've even gotten a plain mocha and they completely forgot to add the chocolate into it. Talk about a waste of money. read more

Actually a 4.5 but yelp won't let me leave that. Cute drive up shop with lots of options. The woman working was very sweet and patient and even asked us to taste our drinks to make sure we liked them before we left. They have glaciers as well which is like a milkshake. A 24oz latte (unsweetened almond milk) comes with 4 SHOTS of Espresso for $5.75 (+0.75 alternative milk) = $6.50 It's the only coffee I'll need for the day :D I see that they have fresh cold pressed juice (until 5pm daily). Their prices are excellent for the quality and care that goes into each cup. We'll be back in a bit for the pressed juice! It's so hard to find! 5 stars!!! Admittedly I am skeptical of little drive thru coffee shops like this. I get worried they won't have sugar free flavors or it won't be as good as the chains. Not here!! They have many sugars free flavors, their ratio of coffee-flavors-cream is on point AND they offer a CBD option!! Can't get that at DB!! Coffee tasted better, staff was knowledgeable, oatmilk is handmade, an oatmilk latte and a breve were both made correctly, and yah, way better than my last visit through. Probably the best coffee I had on my recent road trip down the Southern Coast. I tend to steer clear of the big coffee places and prefer to seek out local places. I rolled out of my motel room and went out seeking a hazelnut latte to start the morning. Service was friendly and the coffee was delicious! Perfectly smooth with the right amount of syrup and frothy milk at the perfect temperature. It's always a gamble with drive thru coffee stands, but this one's a winner. read more

Not another drive-thru coffee place! I was looking for a place to get an afternoon coffee, maybe sit and watch the world go by as I drank it. Apparently, I was going to be disappointed when I saw Cosmic Grind was not a walk in, sit down place. But I was wrong, so wrong! Sure I stayed in my car, but the barista was so good natured and the Mexican mocha (decaf, no whipped cream) was so good tasting! I'm not disappointed, I'm happy. This place is worth going to again and again. Although it would be nice if you could read the menu before you get to the window. And if there was a menu of all the specials. I got a caramel frappe and it was really good. And we got our drinks a lot quicker than some of the other places. Also you are able to add mushrooms to your drinks, so if you're into that it's the only coffee shop I've seen that does that. read more

I guess I'm the outlier here. The mocha coffee I had was delicious but there were too many annoying things to GET the coffee, which is why I only gave this place 3 stars. For example: 1 - There's no menu prior to getting TO the order window so, if there's a line, it wastes everyone's time while each person has to review the menu, prior to ordering. If there was a menu board PRIOR to the window, the ordering process would go much quicker. 2 - The menu that IS available, is taped to the inside of the order window, but it's place so high that someone in the passenger seat, can't read it at all - I ended up getting out of the car and walking up to the window (in the drizzly rain). That issue could easily get fixed, since there's plenty of room at the bottom of the window to move the whole thing down. 3 - Alternatively, there's no printed menu to review, just the LIMITED menu, taped to the inside of the order window. When I asked the young woman taking our order, why they didn't have a printed menu that they could easily handout to someone IN THE CAR, she told me that the owner is working on that, but it's going to take several weeks because "it's so extensive"....how about, in the meantime, just typing what you already have in the window, printing it out and putting a sheet protector on it - 10 minutes of work and less customer frustration. Please note, I'm a retired CPA and I'm very pro-small business, so I write a lot of reviews (both good and bad), hoping that owners will take my feedback into consideration. Just because "I" may frequently be the only person making these suggestions (or complaining), it's reasonable to assume that perhaps "I" am NOT the only person complaining/suggesting but rather, "I" am the only person willing to take my time to share my thoughts vs others, who are too busy (and I am too busy as well but as I said, I really want our local, small businesses to succeed and I hope the owner pays some attention to my comments, rather than dismissing them as being an outlier). Pluses: 1 - As I mentioned, by mocha was delicious and my husband enjoyed his latte. 2 - The young woman at the order window was extremely polite (despite my being a bit annoyed) and she did a great job, so kudos to her! Bottom-line: If you ALWAYS get the same type of coffee and don't need to look over their "extensive(?)" menu or you don't care if there are 5 cars behind you while you take your time to peruse the menu (what you can see of it), then by all means, give this little drive through a visit! read more

Very good, locally roasted coffee. The owner is kind, very knowledgeable about coffee, and can custom make your drink no matter how you like it. Before I was given my drink, I was given a tester of it to make sure it was just like I liked it, and if not, be allowed to tweak it. When I visit Brookings again, I'll be sure to stop here. Also, if you like strong coffee like I do, I would suggest getting an extra shot or two in your drink. read more

This is a cute little drive through place with a good menu, and lots of options like smoothies, teas and coffees of all yumminess. My daughter brought me a drink home that sounded great, the ginger was a bit strong for me though. Next time I tried something different, but it wasn't quite what I was craving. I tried the boba and tea my daughter got both times, and that's where it hits the spot! It was so good, I'm looking forward to going and trying another so I can boost my score! The staff was really nice, tried to help me identify what I wanted, but if I can't, who can? I'll give them a 5 star for their customer service, and a plus for the effort to please me. Cosmic Grind is a must-visit when in the area and there is something for everyone.
