THIS PLACE IS A SCAM. I went in to do 3D Imaging. I paid 250$. When i made an appointment on the phone, i was told i will be emailed documents to fill out, which never came. When i arrived to the office, staff at the front desk was too busy playing on their iPads (i could see what they were doing ) then assisting clients, i stood waiting and watching them to finally notice me. My appointment was at 4 and i only got to see Dr.Torgenson at 5. At the consultation Dr.Torgerson wasnt aware that i was scheduled for 3D imaging. When we ended up doing 3D Imaging Dr. Torgerson Stretched - Widened my face , he made it rounder then it actually is so he can sell me on the idea that facial reconstruction is needed. I wanted to share my experience with Dr Torgerson. A few months ago, through a family friend, I was referred to Dr. Torgerson. Our family friend stated that Dr. Torgerson "is one of the leading facial cosmetic surgeons in Canada" and "an expert surgeon". With such a strong statement, I thought I would take the chance and see for myself; plus, I had always wanted to get some work done, and I thought I would take the opportunity to see what that would entail. On the day of my consult, I became impressed by the warm hospitable welcome I received from the secretaries at the front. They were really nice, courteous, and welcoming. They even called a day earlier to remind of my appointment, which I thought was a nice gesture. I was even impressed that Dr Torgerson came out himself and greeted me before taking me to the consultation room. Right from that moment I could tell that he really is an expert facial cosmetic surgeon. Very well dressed, very well spoken, extremely professional, understanding of my needs and a nice warm smile. The same day, during the consult, Dr Torgerson offered to take some pictures to provide a realistic preview of what the resulting procedures would look like. After seeing the 3rd imaging, hearing Dr Torgerson's explanations, and recommendations, I was sold. Dr Torgerson's direction was exactly what I was looking for. I ended up booking the surgeries that same day; these included: rhinoplasty, chin implant, otoplasty (bi-lateral), blepharoplasty (upper-bilateral), iPixel with Erbium (Face & Neck). After booking the surgeries, the two secretaries at the front were really helpful in explaining preliminary medical check-ups I had to do. The process was really simple, I was able to get all of these done at a walk-in clinic on a saturday afternoon. Once the preliminary medical check-ups were completed, I had my final consult with Dr. Torgerson and everything was ready for the final step. After the surgery, I must say I was happy from the first day. Even though I was in some pain and discomfort I was existed for the results. I could tell that it was going to look amazing. Now, when I look in the mirror and see the results, I cant help but think how stunning I look. Absolutely awful. The receptionist Alyssa and supposedly the manager completely rejected me for a non surgical nose job because I asked them questions. Basic questions as recommended by the realself website to ask before going into any procedure. Questions about the doctor's credentials, past work, after care, potential risks and complications, and how they will handle them. How can I trust a doctor to take care of me when they choose to withhold vital information from me? Very shady. Clearly they were scared to reveal how unqualified they truly are. I'm happy they turned me down instead of risking messing up my face. PS- their response to my questions did not contain any answers. Simply that I should go online and do my research. How can I find info online about the doctor if they do not provide me with "Dr Iryna's" last name (the doctor I was booking with). Sooooo shady. They're right about doing research. I had a consultation with Dr Cory Torgerson and I cannot express how amazing he is. I have  talked to a lot of plastic surgeons about different things I would like fixed, however none of them really listened or walked me through what I should do until Dr Cory Torgerson. Dr Cory Torgerson sat down with me for 30 minutes and went through everything. He was very kind and understanding. He actually turned me away from a more expensive procedure and told me how to fix what i wanted for half the price! He also brought other members of his team in to give their opinion. After that consultation I will never go anywhere else. I cannot recommend him and his team enough! read more

This review is not about the Dr.'s surgical or medical abilities, as I only went in for a consultation. I felt rushed, and did not feel valued. I got the distinct feeling that this practice only cared about my money - not somewhere I would trust with my medical care or spending dollar. I found the doctor's demeanor to be incredibly condescending. I had to wait to see the surgeon, and was then shuffled from one room to another for my consult. I actually rushed out of the office it became so awkward and uncomfortable. I felt quite judged by this doctor. I imagine he presumed due to my age I had a certain ability/inability to afford the procedure, clearly unaware I have a successful company in the very industry this practice does business. His front desk staff were adequately friendly. They offered me a bottle of water, Nestle Pure Life. Kind of budget for a Yorkville practice... Lastly, I would not want the "overdone", "fake", "cartoon villan" or "Filler Frankenstien" look...if you know what I mean. Another reason I did not choose this practice... Overall, this was an incredibly disappointing experience and I have gladly found an incredibly skilled, informative and kind injector elsewhere. He Ruined my nose :( it's a few years later now and i have so much pain in my heart for making my decision to go with him. He tried to fix it , I did a revision but he ended up not even working on the area that was my biggest concern the area that made my nose the most crooked . I wish I could post a photo , he told me I had self esteem issues and that I was being picky but when sunglasses won't sit rig by on your face because your nose is so crooked I think not ! After considering a rhinoplasty for a while, I decided it was something I wanted to do for myself. I began my search online, and came across Dr. Torgerson's website. I was very impressed with the before and after pictures for the rhinoplasty procedures. The after pictures were very natural looking and this was something I was striving for. Another aspect that influenced me to choose Dr. Torgerson was his complimentary consultation. Many other plastic surgeons in Toronto require a consultation fee and I felt a little uneasy about this since I wanted to meet the Doctor in person firs and discuss my concerns without feeling obligated to pay a large fee. After meeting Dr. Torgerson and talking about my concerns, I decided to book another appointment to do the 3D Vectra imaging. After seeing the results, I became very excited! It made me feel even more confident and eager to have the procedure done. About a month later I had my rhinoplasty done. The staff were very accommodating and helpful during this time. The recovery was a breeze! I didn't even need my pain medication. A week later I was back at my job (and coincidently had a company photoshoot for our website that week!- I only had some bruising but nothing a little make-up can't fix). I can honestly say that I have absolutely no regrets about the procedure. I know that I am a more confident person and this helps me in both professional and social settings. I would not recommend anyone to visit his practice. I had rhinoplasty surgery August 2018 and I regret it ever since. I had disclosed with him how other surgeons have told me there is a possibility of my nose deviating and he me it wouldn't happen & that there is only a 13% chance of it & if it does then he will fix it for free within the first year for free. Well guess what he sold me and my nose deviated. I went back to him and he quoted me $1,600 for the anesthesiologist fee, like wtf? He never mentioned this cost once when I originally went to him . I had a Silk Peel Facial and love the results. The peel was aggressive (in the best way - I felt like it was actually cleaning/extracting my skin) but it still ended in a relaxing way, with lotions/serums being massaged into my skin. My technician was really friendly, the facility was incredibly clean and the staff were warm and helpful. I was surprised how great my skin looked immediately after the procedure, and within 10-15 minutes the redness had left. I loved the entire experience, and can't wait for my next one. read more

**OVERCHARGED $200** "I could ask but the price WON'T change" I initially went in for a consultation with Dr. Taylor for botox. during the consultation she explained to me I would need 2 areas done and that each area would cost $250 (total $500, I also had a %15 off coupon which brought total price to $425 (which is insanely overpriced)). Dr. Taylor then told me I could get the procedure done now then if I wanted to, I felt pressured after she gave me no time at all to respond while she left the room to make the procedure preparations. The procedure itself went smoothly however I did feel slightly uncomfortable as she was constantly trying to upsell me on unnecessary botox which I made clear I did not want. After the prcedure was completed I was rushed out of the room (with a pamphlet and an ice-pack) to finalize payment. At the reception the woman told me it was going to cost me $625 including discount (regular price $715). This means I was OVERCHARGED $200. After seeing the invoice I told the receptionist how I was made aware that the procedure would cost me no more than $425 this is when the desk lady told me I was "totally wrong and there was no way this was possible as the price/area is $350 making each area including my %15 coupon". She then pulled out an ancient calculator and typed in "312X2" then proceeded to explain to me how there was no way I could be right ("see, 624") I then asked to speak to my Doctor but I couldn't as, Dr. Taylor had already started another surgery less than 5 minutes after completing mine and I was told by desk lady "I could ask but the price won't change.". I was given no other choice but to pay the bill as the botox could not be extracted. This is not about the Doctors medical ability but that the surgery only cares about their patients money more then their patients themselves. read more

I'm not sure if he cant afford rent in his impressive prime real estate office or what is happening here but I think this young DR needs to take his time and be patient and ensure he is meeting the needs of EVERY potential patient/client that he has consults with. He should keep his prices low and focus on the small details. I was rushed with this DR and he did not listen to my needs at all. I would not trust this DR with any major surgey. Just a horrible doctor, ruined my nose. Had to undergo 5 surgerys to fix it. He alone had tried fixing it 2 more times and made it worse, not to mention that he charged me again the second time. Never admited to his mistake. Don't be manipulateed by his fancy office and great stuff, he deceive you until the payments recieved and then boom, a completely different person. Lucky I found doctor Henry hwuang who changed my life and post op he told me that this so called "dr". Torgerson made many errors and took out way too much cartridge which caused my nose to collapse. Also left me with a diveated septum and a ton of scar tissue. Cartridge at the bridges was cut which would make my nose completely collapsed within few year. If I could give this practice a zero star rating, I would. It's taken me a year to write this. That's how disappointed and upsetting my experience with Dr. Torgerson was. I had under eye tear trough filler injected by Dr. Taylor. She lacked experience. The clinic didn't warn me about taking omega supplements, and since I was taking them in advance of my procedure, my eyes bruised immediately upon injection. My left eye was injected using a cannula. When Dr. Taylor saw my left eye bruise immediately - she opted to inject my right tear trough free-hand - without the cannula. Big mistake! After 6 weeks - my eyes both looked over inflated and I looked incredibly tired. The procedure left me with **HUGE** bags under my eyes, and obviously had the exact opposite effect I was going for. Instead of filling out my under-eye area, both eyes were over-injected - in different places, so both sides of my face looked terrible, in different ways. I wanted to cry every time I looked in the mirror because my face looked so distorted and just awful. People asked me if I was tired CONSTANTLY. It was embarrassing to live with the result of someone not having the skill or the care to complete a facial procedure professionally. I requested my next appointment with Dr. Torgerson. His ability as an injector and his professional sensitivity needs work. He was extremely condescending and told me that the right side of my face looked drastically different than my left naturally - that it had nothing to do with over-filling or the two drastically different methods of injection used on each eye. Instead of dissolving some of the product, Dr. Torgerson said I should purchase MORE filler to fix the problem to provide the rest my face with more volume. LOL. I'm not going for the overdone bloated filler face, so I didn't take his terrible advice. I asked him to dissolve the product, which he didn't do. I was obviously apprehensive about going to another clinic - fearing any corrective action would just make matters worse. Recently, I built up the courage and went to Glenda at Skinjectables Cosmetic Clinic. Glenda is a GODESS. She corrected the problem, which took a total of 5 visits to correct. Quite simply, Dr. Torgerson is more interested in money than he is in his patients. His marketing campaign is slick to say the least, but it's all smoke and mirrors. I woke up every morning for 9 months absolutely saddened and horrified by the botch job I left with. I wasted a lot of money by going to Dr. Torgerson. Save yourself the time, money, hassle and the upsetting final result and check out Skinjectables instead. You won't be sorry, and you won't have to go through what I did. read more

I had a wonderful experience at dr togersons clinic. I had a very dark scar from a previous acne cyst that was very noticeable on my face. I tried 4% hydroquinone and aha/bhas for two months but saw very little improvement. I did some research and came across laser therapy and decided to try the spot erbium laser treatment to lighten the hyperpigmentation. I am so glad I went ahead and did this!! Thank you so much especially to Samantha Tajik who was so knowledgeable, compassionate and patient with her care, my scar is now gone and I can go out again without wearing makeup! The price was also extremely reasonable for the effective results you get. I did a total of three spot erbium sessions with few weeks break in between. The procedure itself is quick and downtime is minimal. The scar was nearly gone by the end of the second session (about 6 weeks) and I probably didn't even need the third session.
