I've had my upper lip, legs, underarms and Brazilian all done here and I won't be going anywhere else. I often pop in just to say hi if I'm in the area as it is so welcoming. I had a…read moreconsultation with technician, Allison who informed me that it would be best to purchase a package of 4-6 treatments for approximately $1000. I was also informed that the package would be nonrefundable. I agreed and purchased the package. Some days later during the 1st procedure I was asked if any of the hair being lasered were blond or white! I informed her yes. She then informed me that laser would not work on white or blond hair. I was shocked and asked her why she did not inform me of this during the initial consultation and she replied that she didn't think the question was polite! However, it was polite to ask that very question during the 1st procedure!! After several days of feeling quite cheated I contacted Mint Laser to discuss the issue. I spoke to Alexandra, the owner who informed me that the package was non-refundable but I was welcome to use it for some other service. I informed her that I did not want any other service and because I was misled would prefer a refund. She hung up on me! I later wrote Mint laser looking for a favorable outcome however I never got one. Eventually, I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau who contacted Mint laser however their response was the same: she purchased a non-refundable package. I pointed out that this was not the reason why I was disputing the purchased but the fact that I was misled into purchasing a package that would not work for me. Eventually, Mint laser refused to respond to the BBB and therefore the case was closed. The case is now with Consumer Protection. Stay tuned.....

The second receptionist was extremely rude did not want to help she just said they would not do the refund (needed a refund due to skin and my dermatologist suggesting me not to laser for a while.) Reviews on yelp and Groupon can confirm that these people are down right rude and uncooperative (wish I had read them previous to my purchase.) Do not waste your time and energy here, I have not even received a treatment or have used a session and they're already giving me a hard time. PASS. Also I tried to make my review on google and it strangely says "no connection" coincidence? I think not. Anyways, my credit card company will be dealing with this issue from here on, if anyone else has had the same experience do not budge or let your money go to the drain! Continue to fight! They say you need an average of 6 treatments every 2 weeks and then once a month for up keep. The first aesthetician/student I got wasn't very informative and didn't talk much. The second time I went I got Casey, who let me tell you girl, is GRREAT. You know when you search forever to try and find a hairdresser who you vibe with and does a great job? That's Casey. She became my micro girl after my second treatment. She was very informative and down to earth. We get along so well and she always does a great job. I'm super sad she is graduating and I will have to find a new person to do my up-keeps once a month. However, I'm glad I got the majority of my treatments from her. Most people don't know, but the Humber spa is open to anyone. Their prices are AMAZING. Micro is only $60! Sometimes they go on special for $40! Can you find any other spa that offers these kinds of prices? I know some people might be skeptical because they are students, but these are students in their final semester ready to graduate. The info is fresh and they also have supervisors guiding and watching over them. The best thing is that the facility is CLEAN. You can guarantee that. That's something that's really important to me. TIP: If you find an aesthetician that you like, it's totally okay to re-book with them! They actually encourage that, so students know what it's like to get repeat clients. Also, there is no tip option on the machine when you pay. It's not expected, but if you do want to tip, it's cash only. One last tip, even though they only accept CASH TIPS. they ONLY take debit, credit or gift cards as a form of payment. Totally recommend everyone to try out the Humber Spa. I am going for my final treatment in 2 weeks and my face looks AMAZING.

The ladies who worked on me were very nice, and I was happy with them, my nails looked great and so did my toes! The facial made my skin feel really smooth and it was really relaxing. You have to keep in mind that these are students so it takes a little longer than going to a regular spa, but it is cheaper too. Don't forget to tip, the students don't get paid for their work at the spa, so tipping is especially important. I will be back, I really enjoyed the procedures, and the same day service was a really nice touch.
