This our 3rd pilot since 2012 and the last 2 were bought through corwin Honda. I went through Eric jonson at corwin and he took a couple of hours with us and answered a lot of questions. Originally we were considering a new 4 runner but I didn't want to deal with issues from turbocharged engines and CVT transmissions and wanted something that was just regular style for injection. The downside to the his that Honda replacement parts a bit much re expensive if it's not warranty work but with regular maintenance and living northwestern Minnesota in the winter we wanted a heavier AWD vehicle and a pilot fits the bill. We bought diffused blue pilot sport and a stock one is very well equipped, the are definitely not a gas saver but for hauling a family around there is more than han enough space. Buying from Corwin Honda Fargo has been one of the most disappointing and unprofessional experiences I've ever had with any business. The lack of communication, accountability, and basic organization is honestly shocking. I purchased a used vehicle that began pulling hard to the right within days of leaving the lot. I was told it would be "taken care of" during my appointment to have side boards installed. After waiting four full hours for that installation, we had to be the ones to ask about the alignment they supposedly planned to fix. Only then did the manager go check with the team apparently, no one had even communicated about it. We were told there were no loaner cars available until my husband pushed the issue, and then suddenly, one appeared. The car sat in their shop from Friday through Tuesday, and not one person called to update us. When I finally called, the response was, "I thought your husband was picking it up." That tells you everything you need to know about how little follow-through there is here. When we finally picked it up, the vehicle was still pulling to the right. After four days in their hands, the original issue hadn't been addressed at all. A used car should never leave a lot without an alignment check or a proper test drive. We were told the car had been test-driven, but clearly, that wasn't true anyone paying attention would've noticed the pull immediately. To make things worse, rather than own their mistakes, management tried to shift the blame to the salesperson who was actually the only positive part of this entire experience. He was new, kind, and honest, and instead of supporting him, they threw him under the bus to cover their own failures. That speaks volumes. We're now having the car inspected elsewhere to find out what wasn't done, and at this point, I have zero confidence in anything Corwin Honda claims. This dealership thrives on passing the blame, dodging calls, and doing the bare minimum. They'll tell you what you want to hear until you sign the papers, and then disappear the moment there's a problem. If you value your time, money, or sanity, avoid this place altogether. It's not worth the frustration. And please don't bother telling me to "reach out." I already have. Multiple times. Unless you chase them down, no one here calls you back. I was shopping for an new SUV for months. I looked on line and found that Corwin had the best prices and best selection. Staff was friendly when I was there(anything to sell a car). I drove over 4 hours to Fargo to look and maybe buy. I emailed them my needs and said I would be there in a week to shop. I was shown many SUVs but did not find the perfect fit. The very last car they presented was below my budget and the newest model. My sale man told me they do not buy any cars from rental places... That was a lie. I found out after that mine was from a rental place in Florida. The car faxed listed new tires and wipers. When I got home I noticed only 2 new tires and 1 new wiper. My brakes are not great but it was just enough where I would not notice till I drove it for a few days. There was no standard warranty, no free oil change and it was AS IS purchase. I was surprised it did not come with any warranty with only 60K and 2 years old. All my other cars have. It did not even come with a 3 day warranty! I have never had this kind of experience at at dealership before. I usually buy from Bemidji, MN or Park Rapids,MN. I would not suggest Corwin to anyone! read more

Bringing your vehicle to the sales dept is a nightmare. There' are no counters to check in....just desks scattered-some with advisors sitting and chatting with co=workers. You're basically ignored as you're standing awkwardly, looking for help. When I approached an employee to ask for help, I was rudely dismissed, as were others asking for help. It was a chaotic, stressful experience both dropping off vehicle and picking up. Staff are rude and honestly-as a customer paying a lot of money for service, you'd think staff would at least project a demeanor that conveys their appreciation for your business. If I could give a zero star I would. Our salesman Shamar Parker was the worst. I know they were busy but it is sad that he talked to us only when he needed something. Another salesman Ellis I think his name was should have got the sale. He showed us the vehicle, went with us on a test drive, answered other questions we had. He was the one that was plesent to us and acted like we were humans. Shamar treated us like we were beneath him and didn't have the time of day for us. Shamar made us feel like he didn't have the time of say for us, spoke to us in very short sentences and only when the finance guy needed something from us other than that we never saw him. Hell Shamar said he would go print stuff off his computer he needed from us, but walks back and asks me to send. That just tells me that he didnt save the info we sent him. So I feel that Ellis should get the commission from the sale. Finance was awesome and did a great job at helping us out. He even treated us 10 times better than Shamar. Fast forward to this morning. Went out to start the new vehicle and here is the engine light came on and stayed on. So my husband ( a certified mechanic) hooked up the scanner and found the code and checked it out. Well a sensor was unplugged. And he pulled the plastic cover off from over the intake only to find out there were bolts not even put back to hold parts in place, hold downs for electrical wires missing, and air cleaner tube wasn't even put back on the throttle body. The husband calls to see what work was done to the vehicle. The guy could even really explain what was done. And when he said he needs to talk to the mechanic that needs make sure if he has extra part or see something missing fix it and make sure if safe or not going to wreck the motor. The mechanic that worked on it did a very shady job. I think he/she needs to go back to mechanic school. Watch yourself when you take your vehicle there to be worked on or to even buy a car. read more

What would be an improvement is if they closed permanently. Bought a used car and less than a month in, 3 studs broke off at one rim. My TIRE almost fell off while driving. Mechanic said it would only happen if over or under torqued. Called the dealership and they never helped me. Went to change the oil, and the dipstick handle was broken off meaning THEY NEVER DID AN OIL CHECK BEFORE SELLING. WTF. Battery died the next month and had to replace, heater doesn't work but it was still hot out when I bought so AWESOME surprise for the winter when it gets in the fucking negatives here. I honestly feel like I'm missing something but there's so much to keep track of that they DIDN'T do. Things they are legally REQUIRED to do. I'm in the process of talking with a lawyer though. Took a while with moving, the whole damn reason I needed a car to begin with, but I'm settled now. Now it's your turn to "settle" Corwin, unless you want a lawsuit on your ass. I called you multiple times and EVERY time I did I was told "someone from corporate will call you", I even have text messages from my sales guy there that sold this piece of shit to me PROMISING yall would help and asked when I could "Bring it in" rather than just owning up to your bullshit and apologizing and despite the fact it wasn't drivable because of the condition y'all sold it to me in. I had to pay to fix a car that should have not been in that condition to begin with cus FYI, saying it's sold "as is" doesn't give a company the authority to just decide of their own free will to break the law and put your customers lives at risk. My family members have bought multiple vehicles from Corwin Honda over the last 7 years and the sales staff has always been great to work with. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for the service department. My mother was in for an oil change this past week on a vehicle that she had purchased only three months ago, not sure why the vehicle was sold to her without a fresh oil change in it but anyway, after checking out her vehicle they told her that it is recommended to get a transmission flush since the vehicle was over 30k miles. That service costs somewhere around $200. She told them that she was surprised that the flush wasn't already done since she had just bought the vehicle and it was already over 30k at that point. After saying that, they looked it up and saw that the flush had in fact been done by the prior owners....had she not mentioned that would they had even looked into it? Or still had her thinking she needed this couple hundred dollar service?? Then to top it off, Corwin sells a package deal for oil change and tire rotations, it's x amount of dollars for a package of 4 oil changes and tire rotations at a discount compared to buying one by one. My mother had a package still on the old car that she had traded in with at least one more oil change left on it, possibly more. She informed them that she had a package with oil changes still left on it. They then told her that the oil changes can only be used for that specific vin. I totally understand that policy because it stops people from sharing the packages if they own more than one vehicle. However, if that car is traded in AT THEIR DEALERSHIP with another vehicle bought from THEIR DEALERSHIP, they clearly know she doesn't own it anymore, shouldn't she get the rest of the package for the new car or at least be reimbursed for the oil changes that she is losing out on?? Apparently they don't think so. She had to pay for a whole new package. That is ridiculous, especially in this economy where people are having a hard enough time making it as it is. My mom is a senior citizen that lives on social security and I feel that she was taken advantage of by a policy that makes no sense and almost again by an employee that was too lazy to look up whether her car had already had a transmission flush yet or not. I had been there once before for a couple recalls and for transmission fluid. That visit was decent, nothing to write home about. However my visit last week has left me saying I'll never go back, even if it means I have to take a longer drive somewhere to have Honda specific service done. I went in around 4:30pm, because the day prior I woke up to a flat tire, and wanted to get it looked at to see if it was repairable, and what my options were from there. The service advisor, Justin, was very nice and helpful, even making sure I felt confident in the work being done. First, the technician looked for leaks using water and soap: said he found nothing. He put the tire back on my car, drove it around a bit, and checked again: still no leaks seen. He told me it looked good to go, ran it through the wash and came back saying the tire dropped 10psi very quickly. At that point I was given two options: put the spare back on temporarily or take the tire off and look for interior damage. I had already been waiting for a little over an hour so I chose the second option. The technician again came back saying no damage was found inside the tire either, but it appeared to magically be holding air again so it could have been a issue with the tire not sitting on the rim correctly. I felt they exhausted the options, was charged nothing, and thanked the gentlemen leaving the dealership at 6:30pm. The psi for the tire read 2 lower than the rest, but by the time I drove a mile it went down 7 more. I parked, and found the hole in my tire very quickly as it was loud enough to hear the air coming out. I drove back but the service employees all had left as the department closed...at 6:30 how convenient. I spoke to a sales manager who assured me he would have a talk with the service manager in the morning and to expect a call from him right away. Nothing come 8:30am the next day so I called and left a voicemail for the service manager. Didn't hear anything by 12:45 so I called and the receptionist paged him to ensure he would be available for my call. The service manager was not truly sympathetic for my situation; encouraging me to come the following week as they are very busy on Fridays and Saturdays. I felt that the least they could do would offer for me to use their shuttle and that they could get my car completed by the end of the day. Instead, the call left me feeling as though there would be no assurance my negative experience would be rectified. While most of the employees have been very sympathetic, their service manager has terrible customer service and the technician clearly didn't know what he was doing as the hole was clearly visible into the sidewall of my tire. I took my business to Dakota tire, where all four tires were replaced in an hour and the service was top notch! read more

We paid for the package that includes oil changes. Which is cool because my boyfriend is an OTR trucker and doesn't have time to do it. I schedule it when I won't be in a rush and can enjoy some coffee. Great amenity!!! Now, for the reason I'm doing a review. We just left a restaurant and I see a weird light pop up. Great!! I'm sure it's just low tire pressure & not totally flat. I get out to look, and sure enough it's REALLY LOW! I drive to Corwin, no appointment & I didn't call first. I pull up to the service door and the service rep came out and directed us straight in to air the tire. It was late, almost closing, I was tired...they got us in & out. I was so thankful I didn't have to drive to a gas station and do it myself. It was just one of those days. Corwin just made this the easy fix that it was, but I didn't want to do. read more

Do NOT go here!! This place is terrible! TLDR; not COVID safe, can't get your basic info correct, lolligag when they're supposed to send you something that's rightfully yours, might cause you to default on payment and ruin your credit due to their mistake. Unfortunately because of COVID, I was forced to coordinate with them from another state before moving to ND, rather than spending a few days going to different dealers and test driving a bunch of cars like I normally would have done. There are several things that they did that made me regret doing business with them. 1. When I first set foot in the dealer, NOBODY was wearing a mask (except the guy directly dealing with me because I told him to wear one). This is a PANDEMIC. ND's cases are increasing rapidly. As a healthcare worker, I was appalled that I was doing business with a place that did not require their employees to wear masks. After going to several other businesses throughout the time I've lived in ND, every single other one required their employees to wear masks and nearly all of them required all customers to wear masks. 2. I went through and signed the lease with the manager(?). My address and other information was correct. He had me flipping through tons of pages to sign/initial. Two weeks later, they contacted me to tell me that I missed a few initials. They mailed me the lease to get those last initials done, but there was a "problem with the post office". They had to drive all the way to my apartment the night before it was due, just to get me to sign this lease. Upon signing the lease for the second time, I noticed that the only phone number they had on it was my mother's cell phone (not even sure how they got that). 3. It is now getting very close to when my first lease payment is due. I have still not received my bill. This seemed unusual. I called their financial center and found out that they put my address in wrong EVERYWHERE. How can you put someone's address in wrong if you personally drove there?? And I've texted it to them a few times. Oh, and I also had trouble getting the financial center to talk to me because they put my mother's phone number instead of mine, and they will ONLY speak with whoever calls from the number on file. If I hadn't caught the wrong address, "I" would have "defaulted" on my payment, which would have hurt my credit! 4. These people apparently can't even get basic things done correctly and they clearly have no regard for othes' safety (NO employees and few customers were wearing masks). Do not do business with these people and if you do, be extremely cautious. Quadruple check EVERYTHING and stay really on top of your lease payment (if you're leasing) or they will RUIN YOUR CREDIT! 5. A delivery guy just had to message me through Facebook to get my correct address. This is the SECOND time Corwin has sent the car mats they owe me, to the WRONG address! I have been waiting for these mats for almost 2 months. Last time I talked to the manager on the phone, I told him they had my wrong address and he asked me to text the correct one to him (which I did). The screw ups were so bad, they were inexcusable. read more

I bought a car there I had been working on for a month and the gave me the run around. Came home and heater didn't work the next morning when I went to work. Jake told me I should have bought the warranty and to pay for a visit at a different dealer.I would like a reputable car dealer would be a little more compassionate since it was the next time I drove it after purchase. I guess they care very little about customers and only about making a sale. Also had been working with Kyle as well who did his best to dodge my phone calls and try to not sell me the car after they did work to it so they could up the price. He would not even come and meet with me when I got there. I also left several messages for Justin the dealer manager and never got a response since I was upset about Kyle's suggestion that they should no longer sell it to me at the price they had it listed for. Overall it was a month of chasing after this dealer to just simply respond to me and update me on where the car I wanted to purchase was. I should have taken that as a sign not to buy it but in the end I decided to anyway. Now I am stuck with a heater that only blows very lukewarm air and that won't work in a ND winter. Obviously they only care about a sale and not the actual customer. Very disappointing. This is the ONLY dealership I have ever been treated this way at. I guess next time around I will stick with the 3 others I have bought from before with way better customer service and people that actually care about what they are selling. read more

Hands down the absolute worst experience buying a car. I had Obi as a sales guy and not only was he rude, and pushy somehow he's sales guy of the year. I went in one night to test drive and that went well. However I was "unable" to drive the one I was actually interested in. He later allowed me to drive it. (I ended up getting it) I told him okay finish it up and I'll come back tomorrow and fill out paperwork. Left a large down payment and was assured it would be ready to go by tomorrow. Tomorrow came and I went in after work (530). I got there and was shoved away into the corner where I sat for 3 hours. I would have left at this point but the deposit is non refundable and let's just say I was beyond annoyed. Finally the sales manager came over to ask how I was doing after glaring at them for the last 45 minutes. Mind you it was my husbands birthday and I still had to get his cake and Celebrate with him. Anyway i said I was frustrated and I had been waiting for a while. About an hour later (930) the place was closed. The cleaning lady was there mopping and everyone was gone but the "warranty" guy that was helping me. Obi my sales guy left. Didn't say a word to me before he walked out the door. I am now ready to leave its 930 at night on my husbands birthday. The warranty guy says enjoy your new car is there anything else I can do for you? I looked at him and said yeah..... where's my new car. He said don't you have the keys. I told him I had nothing. They couldn't find the car for a solid 15 minutes while I stood there mad because I just got a car and no one had the keys, no one knew where it was parked. Finally they pulled it up.... And I left. **UPDATE** Talked with Chris, Mgr of the service dept, and brought the car in. Refunded the original charge for the oil change, doing a new oil change, detail of the engine with degreasing, performing a full diagnostic on the engine to make sure everything is within normal parameters, and included a comp oil change with rotation. Set me up with a Honda Accord to use until this is done which is also appreciated. I understand mistakes happen, everyone learns by it. Just hard to take when it's a compounded mistake where a new cars engine can be ruined. Thank you Chris for stepping up on this and hopefully everything comes back good with the diagnostic. Moving from 1 to a 3 because they agreed to everything I asked. We brought our Honda CR-V to Corwin in Fargo for its first oil change and discovered that Corwin failed in their quality review of the service performed because the oil plug was not tightened all the way. Luckily we caught the issue before the oil was totally off the dipstick. I brought the vehicle back in, and zero response. Well, what do you want us to do about it? I asked to get another oil change. They threw in a car wash, but that was it. I asked for another oil change for free due to having to bring it back and clean up my garage floor. They did give that and another car wash coupon. Late last week, my wife said the car smelled gassy, so I went out and popped the hood to check the oil. The good news was there was oil on the dipstick. Bad news. No oil cap! I called in and bounced around and finally had to leave a message with the service manager. I explained the issue to one of the people while getting transferred, so I hope they were advised to check their voicemail. A day later and still no one has returned my calls. read more

We recently bought a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica here to use as our family vehicle. They offered lower than blue book value and were fair in negotiating a price for our trade-in. Delshad Mosaei was great to work with: friendly, fair, and helpful. The kids were kept entertained in the children's area for two hours without issue! Was very disgusted with my experience at this place. When expecting a call back from Corwin, I either received it 2 days late or none at all. The vehicle I test-drove had to be fixed before I could buy because a loose wheel bearing had been missed during inspection. I felt like I had to defend myself at every turn as Corwin tried to tack on a higher interest rate than I agreed upon, an extra $400 for a pulsing brake light that was not actually on the vehicle, and of course the maintenance and extended warranty plans that they pushed way too hard. The guys were abrupt and unfriendly at times. It was a very stressful experience that made purchasing a first vehicle no fun at all. Would not recommend. read more

They can not find the source of the power draw that's been draining the less-than-one-year-old battery. It's not the first time they have failed to find the source. The battery was replaced, but 3 weeks later it's dead again. This power drain has been going on for a couple of years now, and accelerating in frequency, yet they cannot diagnose it. read more

Because I live in another area of the country, I myself had to transact business over the phone, with my credit card. The "finance" person clearly was not listening and attempted to run my rather large down payment with my credit card, but my ex's name & address! Even though I attempted to give him my correct name and address x 2. They even suggested I just sign it anyhow, since we both still have the same last name. Ummm, no. Checked in for oil change/tire rotation at express garage with a new employee. He had difficulty managing his iPad, asked same questions over and over, couldn't find my vehicle in their database. Came over to me in the waiting area and hand wrote my info on a piece of paper. Ok. I sit there waiting almost 2 hours and finally went to check on my vehicle. Took a while to get someone to acknowledge me-finally got waited on by a heavy set older guy-he begins to go thru what they always tell you-a bunch of unnecessary expensive things-I said when I checked in I was only having the oil changed and tires rotated. He immediately got sarcastic and condescending. In fact, he in a very sing song voice asked me if I was ok. Are you kidding me?? I told him he was being so disrespectful and he rolled his eyes, made groaning noises, SO RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL. When I was paying, he'd just push the forms to me to sign and look at me like a jerk. I was so disappointed in that kind of behavior from a SERVICE person. Yes, I responded rudely back to him, but deservedly so. My vehicle had big dirty handprints on the door when I retrieved it from the parking lot. I expect an apology from the reception guy and the service manager. My girlfriend bought a 2015 Gmc acadia from them and it was dirty and was not clean Their detailing shop is not worth a crap. we had to take it back the very next day for the for the A/C to be fixed since they didn't do a proper inspection this should have been cought at the time of the inspection. we traded in a 2014 nissan pathfinder that was in alot better shape and cleaner then this one. They gave me $6,250 for the nissan and then they put in on the lot for $11,700. because curtis the general manager said that was the best he could do and they try to sell it for a $5,450.00 profit witch i think is alittle wrong. they dont want to work with you and they make you feel that they went to bat for you when all they did was put money in there pockets. i personally would not buy other car or truck from the dealership. read more

Wondering why one has to make an appointment for service when the time isn't honored....had an 1115 appointment for my Honda CR-V..arrived at dealership at 1105...waited at least 5 minutes to even be able to talk to a service advisor...at 1215 car had not even moved from spot in the garage where I had left it. I bought a car from here last summer. Then, I went in for a slow leak in my tire- which they informed me that they patched it three times before selling it to me (something I was never informed of), so I'd need to buy a new tire. After over a week waiting for a call to see if the tire was in, I called and was told that it had been there for days. When I came in the next day, someone had sent the tire back because I hadn't come in yet. I find out the tire they did end up putting on was much bigger than what they should've put on. When I brought my car in to get the issue resolved, I was told they'd come to my job and pick up my car, leaving me a loaner car behind. They ended up just taking my car and leaving me without a vehicle at work. I did need my other tires replaced at this point. I decided to buy those tires elsewhere, and paid less than what corwin quoted me, even after the discount for their mistake. read more

How many levels of suck can one place achieve, obviously it is unlimited levels of suck for Corwin Honda, Toyota, Service, Auto. I should have definitely read the reviews on this place prior to my decision to acquire a car here. I started with a search on line for the vehicle I was interested in. The URL link took me to... Corwin. Made a phone call to Corwin to confirm the vehicle was still available. That was the end of anything enjoyable, timely or professional. No regard for the customers time. Insane "Fees" added onto the sale price. Worst car buying experience ever. read more

My second experience dealing with Corwin in Fargo. The first was at Corwin Toyota. This time around Mrs. Raison settled on a Honda and off we went. We worked with Josh S. and it was an absolute pleasure to do so. Unlike some other salesmen that we had dealt with, Josh knew the product he was selling! He knew every little detail and did a terrific job of showing us all the features available on the different models - and helped find out that was the best match for us! Josh worked with us around our schedule and was very patient. The entire process was relatively easy and there was no over-sell like most other places. Worst car dealership I've ever dealt with. I asked for a wiper blade for the passenger side of my Honda on three consecutive oil changes, and they never had it in stock (proactive much?). The last oil change I ever got there, the guy looked at me and said "Have you thought about new tires for your Honda?" I just looked at him. He said, "What?" I said, "Did you even look at my car? The tires are brand new, less than 90 days old." He just shrugged and smirked at me. They're vultures and they will do ANYTHING to get more of your money. I have an acquaintance who bought a car with an extended warranty, and they refused to honor it. STAY FAR AWAY from ANY Corwin dealership. They're corrupt from the top down. read more

I traveled to Fargo and purchased a beautiful car from Robert F last weekend. He was friendly and helpful. They were all friendly. I spoke to the General Manager (Curtis) on the phone prior to my trip. He mentioned that they install the Pulse system and I told him explicitly that I did NOT want it installed on my vehicle. He had it installed anyway and it cost me $395 plus the interest on the loan. If you choose to buy a vehicle from Corwin Honda....watch your back. read more

Gotta give a star for the Honda name. Honda needs to evaluate the relationship with Corwin. Just shaded over two hours for a oil change. Now the folks are friendly. But, they should pay you for your time. I have in Fargo experienced many different dealership and service centers. This is bar none the worst. A step further in travels and living a crossed the country. Places such as Salt Lake City, Denver, Tampa, Orlando, st.Paul, grants pass, Memphis, Jackson, Tulsa, Colorado Springs, Fargo's Corwin Honda is absolutely in great need of assistance. It is in need dire need of service it's self. In the front sales folks tell ya whatever to get the sell. But then to be told oh no more than one hour and it's over two. We never chose to ask for ride I'll tell you why. But, if you've read this far you probably can guess what I'll say. Done that before. Today two different groups what did they say? Oh my sorry guys not sure where that van or courtesy car is but we have your car done. Either all service should be free or vehicle prices dropped by 50% again the folks are Fargo friendly sure enough. But, the bank account of this joint can't hurt they've busted the walls down long ago. On how to get the advantage in ever segment they do. Now to be fair maybe they won't do that to you? Next service might drive to grand forks or Bismarck? Or even the cities at which point why should Honda be a choice anymore? Best of luck to all who venture in. read more
