The sales department is great. The service department is a dumpster fire. I have getting vehicles serviced here for over 25 years. They have over the years progressively gotten worse. I drive over an hour to get multiple vehicles serviced. Oil changes take 3-4 hours consistently. I've driven there multiple times and had them keep my car for 4 hours and not get around to doing what I was there for. So I give up 5-6 hours of my time and get another appointment. Save yourself hours of time and loads of aggravation. Go anywhere else read more

I have had Porsche service in many states in the US and indeed Valley Imports are absolutely the worst.. They do many things wrong but the most egregious is that they damage the car and then deny the damage and won't make good. This has happened twice. One star is the minimum but they really deserve a zero. We took a vehicle, covered by third-party warranty, for a new transmission. They had the car for more than 5 months and at a cost of over $20,000!! We picked up the vehicle and within an hour of driving, the car wouldn't accelerate (and we were driving on the freeway). We had to have it towed back to their dealership where it took them 10 days to determine that nothing was wrong and they wanted to charge us $1,000 for the privilege. After a long discussion, they cut the price by 50% like they were doing us a favor. It was, overall, a very very frustrating experience. I have another luxury car for which they are an "authorized dealer" but I would rather drive to Minneapolis than take it to them. Doesn't seem like they really care about taking care of the customer. You've been warned. Proceed with caution. read more

I was on a family cross country road trip in our VW Jetta with my wife and 4 year old son. Our car broke down on I 94 and since this was the closest VW dealer I chose to have it towed here. After finding a hotel for the night, the next morning I walked down to talk with the service department staff to see if they could help diagnose my car and possibly get us on our way again as we were quite desperate and had a family wedding to be at 2 days later. The staff working at the service desk simply kept brushing me off saying "we will try to get you in, but we're very busy ".When I inquired how long it could be, they said it could be a few weeks. I came back later in the day to see if anything had changed that I could even maybe get the codes scanned. It felt like I was being met with more annoyance and ignorance from the service desk staff than anything. So after not having any assistance at all , even while I was pulling and checking my own fuses in the parking lot in broad daylight , I decided to call the dealership 500 miles away at home. My home dealership was more than happy to help. I had to tow my car on a trailer behind a friends truck all the way home. By 9AM the next morning my issue was fixed and wouldn't have caused this dealership more than a couple hours to help out a stranded family. If you're ever in a pinch don't count on an ounce of sympathy or help from these guys. By far the most ignorant service staff I have ever experienced anywhere in my travels. read more

My son and girlfriend were looking for a new car for her. They basically judged them on age, they wouldn't be able to afford what they wanted. When the credit came back good, they offered 14% interest! They went to get financing somewhere else and were able to be prequalified at a good rate. Came back for a sales agreement and said they would take the car. Got the financing, called to pick it up and it was sold! They even offered to put $1000 down to make sure it was held and they were told no, they don't do that. It would be there for them tomorrow. What a joke. And yes, I was on the phone with them when they were talking to the salesman. I am thinking they dodged a bullet. We think they found some sucker to finance at 14%....Poor, Poor, customer service. read more

First thing you need to know is that we didn't even buy a car from Valley. We strolled in one day, exhausted from the high pressure tactics of a neighboring lot and met Thomas. He was courteous, knowledgeable, and absolutely no pressure. After a couple of weeks of his calling us (at our request) with cars we might be interested in and taking us on multiple drives of multiple models, we actually found the perfect car at another lot. We were so close to a RAV4 with Valley but the perfect Outlander fell into our hands on the same day: Thomas was the person who introduced us to the Outlander; he just didn't have on within our budget. When I called to tell him, he wasn't bummed out at all -- he congratulated us on finding something to suit our needs. It was refreshing to have a salesperson more interested in making a suited match than a sale. I also had a great conversation with Bob in the pre-owned lot checking outa couple of other options. That guy knows cars and has sold so many he doesn't even need to sell one to you (but he will, because he's good). There's nothing here that would stop Valley from being our first stop next time we need a new car. Stop by and see Thomas or Bob, they'll set you up right. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I bought a car from here 2 years ago brand new off the lot. I was told it's a reliable car convinced into buying it right away. Mind you after i got it it didn't even come with a spare tire. After I bought it they said I can't even take it home same day because they have a recall on it. Fast forward a year and the transmission needs to be replaced on a car with less than 20,000 miles. It's covered under warranty but they said I will owe $9,000. I fought them on it and contacted Mitsubishi myself and the dealership finally waved the "warranty" they had my car from December 2022-March 2023. After fixing my transmission they stripped a nut on my axel and had to replace the whole thing meaning my car is out longer. I got no reimbursement for my car being out that long even after I asked if they could rotate my tires and do an oil change since they have had my car for 4 months. Nope it wasn't done. Then after all of this they didn't put my newer car together correctly and the AC doesn't work. I've called the service advisor I've been dealing with no response emailed him no response. Just think hard and long before buying something here because you most likely will have to pay for it yourself. All they want is money. read more

My wife and I decided to look at some used cars on Saturday just window shopping. Zach pulled up everything we asked to see, after looking at three vehicles on the lot we were told about one that was coming in really shortly that fit our wants a little better. We ended up buying it and trading in our car. The trade in value was really fair. The whole sales experience was easy and smooth with Marshall and Bob taking care of the financing. After a few days we decided to get the windows tinted and the diamond shield windshield treatment which was extremely easy to set up with with Valley reconditioning as Zach and Marshal took care of all the details. read more

I have to echo the comment of the person who had the door problem. My several experienced with this dealership ( all in the device Dept ) are horrible. I have a 2012 Sprinter van that I (can't) use in my business in Minot. It has been in limp mode for years. We had it towed to Fargo to be put in for service and get it fixed. We opted to go there because this van is always going into limp mode and the local mechanics can't figure it out. Of course Valley said they are the Mercedes experts and that they could figure it out. They told us it was a mechanical issue and some $2k later that it was fixed. We sent one of our drivers to Fargo to pick it up and before he could get back to Minot it went back into limp mode ( won't go over 30 mph). As the driver was closer to Minot than Fargo we had it brought back to Minot. Valleys response is to have it towed back to them and they'll look at it. The tow bill was $800 and they say it's on us to get it back there. Problem is , I don't trust them to fix it. Since that time, I have purchased a used van from DTO trucks in Fargo and had the very same issue with limp mode and I had to have it towed to their shop in Bismarck. Problem was with the Def system and the first repair failed so they had it brought back to Bismarck and they replaced the whole system... no BS, just got me my asset back so I could put it to use and it works perfectly. My advice... go to DTO. Why would anyone buy a Mercedes product when you can't get it worked on and the dealership just shrugs their shoulders at your plight. Also, they told us that repairs not done by a Certified Mercedes mechanic would void a warranty. So that means every time I need a repair I have to run it to Fargo? I stopped by Valley Imports on a Saturday to begin the process to purchase my first new car. There was not a salesperson around, yet I spent about thirty minutes with Joe looking at a few vehicles. Joe, who is not a salesperson, gave me Jerry's business card. A few days later, I called and spoke to Jerry, who said to go to the website to forward information about a car I wanted, which I did. After sending 3 emails to them I finally get an answer that the car is sold, but they can order me the car (yay) but that's where the good stuff ends. It was like pulling teeth to get any information from this dealership. None of my questions were getting answered and minimum information was provided. I would send emails with tons of questions and they weren't being answered. It's now been 5 days and I'm not getting any replies. The information that was provided was contradictory to what the other sales associate was saying. No one was on the same page, and no one was able to provide a straight answer. The manager was aware of the situation and didn't step in to help once. As someone who is ready and willing to buy a six figure car from this dealership I expected at least very basic communication and customer service which was not provided. Super frustrating and annoying. Would not recommend going to this dealership but, if you absolutely have to stay away from Robbie, and Kristen in sales and the manager Bob. We brought our Mercedes SUV into the repair shop at Valley Imports because the driver's side window would no longer roll down. The shop did not have the foresight to ensure they had the necessary parts on hand. Everything up to this point is fine - perfectly understandable for this type of repair. But they charged $140 to take the door apart and put it back together without fixing anything and now the door won't even lock. And the'll be charging another $140 to take it apart and put it back together again when the part finally arrives and I won't be even the slightest bit surprised if they try and charge me to fix the lock they broke. read more

I took my car in for service, the staff was very helpful in guiding me where to go, they told me the wait time would be 1.5 hrs but were able to get it done in 50 mins. The absolute worst experience I have ever had with any service of any kind. I would give them a negative if I could. My son brought his car in to Valley Imports as this is the Volkswagen dealer. They did several things to the car but my son was never given a fee for any of the service nor was he asked if it was ok to proceed as it would break his bank and he would have said no!!!! In the end he was slammed with an over $1000.00 bill, yikes guess we learned the hard way that they are not honest and very good at lying. I confronted the man who was in charge of this service and he basically lied to my face. Never will we or any of our friends give this place our service again. I didn't purchase my VW from Valley Imports, but I've brought my car here for service. What they once charged me $150 for, another service shop was able to fix for less than $10. I don't feel the service people are honest and I always feel like I'm getting scammed. Wait times are painfully long and communication is mediocre at best. Once I find a place in town that knows how to work on VWs, I'll gladly never step foot in Valley Imports again. read more

Amazing customer service! Rep my husband and I worked with actively listened and helped us find the vehicle that we absolutely love. We liked the fact that the reps are not pushy like Corbin and aren't strict about credit scores. However, the only issue we had was trying to find something with a proof of address because our licenses had our old address on them. So I spent an hour or 2 just to find a bill or account to use as a proof of address. Overall I recommend valley imports to those in need of a vehicle. Thank you Demitryz for your help! If I could give no stars I would. Terrible customer service. They don't care about you even if you bought your car there. They fix a part in your car and it goes bad again 2 years later and since the warrantly is only for one year, they won't help you. Please take your car elsewhere to a shop that actually cares for you and isn't just money hungry. I will never buy a car from here again. It has been problem after problem with them with no solution. I have spoken to other shops who are all suprised i am having to fix a timing chain again after two years. They will sell you a faulty car and the blame is always on the customer instead of on them. I wanted a low mileage 2016 Audi A6 so I looked on cars.com. Valley Imports had one about $5,000 cheaper than the one in Dallas. Went to the Dallas dealership for a test drive. Even though the Dallas dealership said they did not negotiate their used car prices, they eventually came down about $3200, but that still made Valley Imports about $1,800 cheaper After looking at the pictures online, Erik Swenson took a video of the car and even pointed out the few minor imperfection. I agreed to buy the car on Tuesday, paper work was overnighted back and forth and I owned the car on Thursday. Hired a shipper for $750 and the car was in Dallas on Monday (six days after I agreed to buy it). Admittedly I was a bit worried because I had not bought a car like this before, but it was easy and after paying for shipping I still saved about $1,800. Only additional work on my part is I have to have the car inspected in Texas and stop get the title transferred to Texas. read more

Would not take so much as a penny off of the price of a new car nor give us 1 penny more for our trade in. Even though they sold it for nearly $5,000 more a week later! The salesman called us "greedy" for asking for a coffee mug!!! The General Manager mocked us in emails for being Christians as well and told us to have our new car serviced elsewhere! I was traveling from Chicago to Bismarck when I had a loud whistling noise in my engine on my Audi Q7. I was stopped in St.Cloud when Eich VW suggested I go to Fargo which they called and left a message. Michelle Alm called my while I was on the road and was very helpful and was able to squeeze us in when arrived. She went above and beyond to accommodate us as to get the car looked at immediately knowing we were on way to Bismarck. We were told they found the problem but it would take 5 hrs and no tech had the time that day. Michelle was able to make arrangements somehow to get a loaner back that we were able to take on our trip. A day later received a video from the Tech showing the part and the job he had to do. He also did a free inspection on the video. He proceeded to tell me the job was free because of an extended warranty on part. Michelle knee we were coming back on a Sunday and was willing to come in on day off and help me swap out cars so I can head back to Chicago. I was able to get there on Sat to swap when they were open but I appreciated the accommodations that Michelle was going to make. What great customer service, Tech and just a great overall experience. My first experience with the sales department was when I purchased my Benz and they were awesome to work with. But my experience with the Valley Imports service department has been horrible. The service is expensive and you are not treated very well. The level of knowledge is not very good either. I question their certifications. I stopped servicing my Benz there. Recently my husband's lease was up on his truck and fell in love with an Infiniti SUV. We went on a Monday morning. No one could find our salesperson. The other one was told to assist us and did not seem like he was all too interested to do so. After a quick second test drive I was ready to get the purchase part rolling. The sales guy looked at my husband's truck and told us to bring it back to the dealer we leased it from and then come back and speak with him. My husband looked heartbroken so I was ok with returning the truck to the dealership of origin. Well that dealership was not letting our business go out the door like Valley Imports did. The customer experience was fantastic and my husband got a new truck. I don't understand how a dealership can stay in business by sending customers away.....? End result is that I highly suggest customers to not waste their time with Valley Imports like I did and find a dealership that values and retains a loyal customer base. When it's time to upgrade my Benz I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

The worst place you could purchase a car. I talked to 3 different saleman....and when I asked them simple questions about cars on their lot...everyone of them had to look it up, or go out a car and check. One sales(woman) had zero idea what the different packages were on the Audi vehicles..She didn't know the differences between a Premium/Premium Plus or Prestige. And when I asked what certified Audis came with...she took 5 minutes looking on her cell phone to tell me what it was. NOT KNOWLEDGABLE AT ALL. read more
