Basic dive bar in Villa Park with a few slots and an overall greasy ass feel. Fitz's, also known as…read morethe Irish Bulldog, is a pretty worn out looking place. It has what you expect in a place like this. Cheap booze and fried greasy bar food like wings and crap. The best things are the slots and TVs for basic entertainment. Came in for a bit. It wasn't busy but it felt crowded because the place is small. The crowds are kind of rough but they usually don't start fights and thankfully I haven't seen any yet. Beer is the best thing on the menu. It's $2 for a typical draft and they have the basic shit like Miller and stuff. There's usually a few taps not working. Such a dive bar. The food is basic fried and greasy stuff. It doesn't have Irish food. They do occasionally like on St. Patrick's Day and so. Get some cheap ass beer. It's your best bet, including on the slots. The place smells like farts and fries though.

The food wasn't memorable so we forgot mostly about it but it was just okay. About the only thing not meat was the Pretzel Bites. It's $9 for the normal price. This is $6 for when it's happy hour though. Okay but nothing that special about these other than just something to munch on while talking and gaming. The rest of the menu is stuff like lamb and pork. The times that I actually sat at the bar, the service was obviously better. The servers know their beer menu and can hold a good conversation if it's not too busy. No complaints about parking or the walk. Boom, we were there. Now, where it gets interesting. You walk in the building's front door, and it opens up to a room where you can access several businesses. Josephine's is straight to the back. It's very dark, smelly, and loud. This totally reminded me of a dive bar on a college campus (maybe worse?). There's not much seating, especially when it gets crowded. The bar has limited seating, and the seating on the floor is even more limited. The chairs and couch are stained with who knows what. The song books for karaoke are sticky and nasty. From a great perspective, I was sitting in a chair and went to move and felt something poke me. It was a pair of random scissors! The drinks are 2/5 and prices are extremely expensive. I had a root beer float martini, and it was "meh". From a karaoke standpoint, it was decent. Lots of different people singing.
