Burgers are the star of the show, although the garlic fries are pretty damned good, too. There are only two problems with Pioneer Burger: first, the place is small. There's outside seating, but if the weather is hot, it's not fun to sit outside. Inside there are just a few tables, and it get stuffy, too. The second problem is that they're slow. It took a little over 30 minutes to get two burgers and an order of garlic fries the last time. They didn't seem overly busy, either, but it seems like they only prep one order at a time. A friend who lives within walking distance says that's been her experience, too. Here's a big plus that is not related to the food. They give local kids jobs. ETA: The bathroom has been clean every time I've used it. And you don't have to beg them for a key/code, either!
