For the love of God, don't go here. I normally don't write bad reviews. They need to be earned. But when your bike disappears for almost 7 and a half months and is returned at 8pm greasy with a dead battery, it's time to warn others. Flash back to June of 2020. This was a referral from a shop in Mint Hill that also has gone downhill. They gave me the run around for two weeks saying their trailer was "broken" until eventually they told me they were too busy with car inspections and don't work on bikes at all anymore... at all wonderful. Referred me to Harold at Corral, said he did good honest work. Perfect. Well same deal. Took about two weeks to get him to my house. Same excuse, they had a motorcycle event and their "trailer was broken" So didn't get here until two weeks after my initial call. Very friendly guy and he pointed out some things the dealership kind of hid from me but those are the only compliments I can give. Now I did not ask for extreme custom work... I need my shocks lowered, some engine guards put on, and a crankcase and tachometer case replaced (tach case had to be ordered)- maybe 4 hours of work tops? Nope. I also needed an inspection which was June. This was probably my biggest annoyance. He currently doesn't do inspections but was going to bring it to the Mint Hill shop that was giving me the run around to get inspected on his way back from stopping by my place. Guess what.... He arrived at my house hours after he said he would, Mint Hill inspection was closed so bike didn't get inspected! I had a trip late June and he promised it would would get done, well it didn't. He said don't worry, with the Pandemic, registrations have been extended for 5 months without penalty. Welp, my registration/inspection due end of June wasn't inspected until the end of November, and only because I constantly called. Excuse number two after not hearing back for weeks with registration penalties looming was "I had a kidney stone and the shop completely closed" after promising to get it done "next week." Keep in mind I was very respectful of all holidays. So now I find that he only works solo and he had one other helper but not anymore. The no contact was my second big annoyance. I hate harassing people, but every week was the same thing... either I got voicemail (broken) and never got a call or I got a very brief phone call saying "yeah man we're just waiting on the parts to come in, bye." Did he order the parts from Japan?! Even then, I ordered my seat from Japan and it took 3 weeks tops to arrive. So after getting a little more assertive and getting my inspection done, another month of no contact. I call to see if the rest of the work had been done, but all of a sudden the headlight that I made sure was compatible "wasn't compatible." So I go out and buy a plug and play bulb to drop off that day- I wanted to drop by to see if anything had been done at all. After a couple more phone calls, bike is returned... hours late. It was a fire drill job because I'm noticing he wiped the bike down that night and it was covered in grease that was supposedly "dust." I had called a day or two before and just went down the list of things I asked him to do and also if the bike had been started and run the entire time he had it and at first he said uh huh, uh huh, but then he said hold on, let me write this down.... Uh oh. He'll give you a time but expect him to arrive 2-3 hours after his shop closes. I keep my cool and pay for the work (almost $800 dollars) and he promises that next time will be better because he got "help." Well next time was less than a week later. I rode the bike everyday except for one rainy day. Bike was kept under a nice cover. Bike didn't start. Guess we lied about keeping the bike run for months. His response was "well, we ran it a little here and there and we did do the test drive a couple days ago." I was livid. He agreed to replace my battery and I made sure it was free of charge. Bike was returned late but at least I was getting some voicemails about when he'd drop it off. Bike was dropped off at 8pm February 9th. Cased closed. Now a few closing points to this epic review. It pays to do a little research before choosing a shop and leaving a review even. After scrolling through his reviews, one 5 star review was left by him and another by a family member. I'm not sure how this is even allowed, and I would be surprised if more of these reviews are friends and family. To finish it off, when the owner was suggested as a friend request on social media, my curiosity got the best of me. I had decided that with the battery replacement that no review was going to happen but after a few scrolls through his page, you'll see that this guy spent the 7+ months he should've been working on my bike and the 200 other vehicles at his shop attending dirtbike events, group motorcycle rides and posting on his social.
