I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with this flower shop was extremely…read moredisappointing. I paid a $15 delivery fee because we were unable to pick up the flowers ourselves. I spoke with the owner (or employee) that morning and clearly explained that the flowers had to be delivered before 2:00 p.m. She assured me there would be no problem. Later, she started calling to say the delivery person was running late and even suggested that we come pick up the flowers ourselves. I'm sorry, but that's not the customer's responsibility. If I paid for delivery, I expect the delivery service to be provided. The flower shop is only about six minutes from the delivery location, and if there aren't enough drivers to handle deliveries on time, that's something the business needs to address, not the customer. The flowers were eventually delivered, but what happened afterward was even more upsetting. Instead of apologizing for the inconvenience, she repeatedly bombarded my phone with disrespectful text messages that made no sense and were completely unprofessional. No customer deserves to be treated that way. I asked for my delivery fee to be refunded because of the poor service and disrespect. Rather than resolving the situation professionally, I received text messages stating that she had recorded our conversations and that she would "see us in court." I found these messages unnecessary and intimidating, especially since this began as a simple customer service complaint over a paid delivery service.

Forest Hills Lilies of the Valley exceeded all of our expectations and made every part of our…read morewedding absolutely breathtaking. Sumithra was amazing throughout the entire process. As our floral designer, she guided us every step of the way, asked thoughtful questions, understood our vision, and made sure every floral detail matched what we had envisioned for our special day. For our Indian ceremony, the garlands, bouquets, and mandap were absolutely beautiful and beyond what we imagined. For our Cambodian ceremony, the flower arch and floral arrangements were stunning and created the perfect backdrop for the celebration. The reception décor was equally gorgeous. The centerpieces, sweetheart loveseat, and flower arch beautifully matched our theme and created a sophisticated and elegant atmosphere. Every floral arrangement was thoughtfully designed and added so much beauty to our venue. Thank you, Sumithra, for bringing our wedding vision to life and making each ceremony and our reception so memorable. We received so many compliments from our guests and could not have been happier with how everything turned out. We highly recommend Forest Hills Lilies of the Valley!

We booked this florist nearly a year in advance and spent a considerable amount of money on our…read morewedding flowers. We paid a deposit when booking and were told they understood exactly what we wanted and that we were the only wedding booked for our date at the time. As the wedding approached, we repeatedly had to call and visit the shop to correct details that had been forgotten or misunderstood. We also did not receive a contract until much later in the process, despite already having paid a deposit and having made our arrangements. That was definitely a learning experience for us, and we now know how important it is to have everything clearly documented from the beginning. Unfortunately, even after all of the communication and corrections, when we picked up our flowers the day before our wedding, every single arrangement was wrong, including the bridal bouquet. We had provided specific pictures and clear instructions. The request was simple: roses were supposed to be reserved for the bride, with different white flowers used throughout the rest of the wedding. Instead, roses were used in everything. When we brought this to their attention, we were essentially told that these were the flowers that had been ordered and that there was nothing they could do to fix it. We were also told there were multiple weddings that day, but that should never come at the expense of providing customers with what they ordered. The flowers also could not be delivered the morning of the wedding as originally expected. Thankfully, another florist was able to step in and fix what they could, but having to deal with this the day before our wedding was incredibly stressful and disappointing. What was most frustrating was not simply that a mistake was made, it was the lack of accountability and customer service afterward. Mistakes happen, but how a business handles those mistakes says everything. Our wedding day was beautiful despite this experience, but this was absolutely not what we expected after investing a considerable amount of money and communicating our vision so many times. I sincerely hope this was a major mistake and not intentional, but regardless, I would strongly recommend future couples get everything in writing from the beginning, make sure every detail is documented, and double-check everything before trusting this florist with their wedding day.
