a Senior Citizen was in despair after living for months without water in her 70-year-old home due to her fear of what it would cost to get repairs. The City of Waco had backed out on helping with a whole house rehab, and she didn't know what she was going to do if she couldn't find affordable repairs. I convinced her to get some on-site estimates and she called three companies. The first one left her waiting for almost three hours after appointment time until she finally called to be told the plumber was tied up on a job that was taking longer than expected and wouldn't be able to make it that day at all.
Cornerstone was scheduled next, for an early morning appointment. Luke Leyva and Javier Carillo arrived, and after being advised of the situation took a look at all the problems and determined that they could make the necessary repairs in one day, and gave her a price for the total work they planned to do.
The bid seemed reasonable and Luke assured her that if they started immediately, he would stay until the work was done, so she could have water turned on before she went to bed that night. She accepted the bid and the guys then left to get supplies and came back with kitchen and bathroom faucets that he had selected with her special needs in mind so they would be easy for her arthritic hands to use. Then they got to work and with no complaints about the crowded spaces, got everything done by 6:30 p.m., taking only a very brief lunch break.
I was very impressed with how well Luke communicated with the homeowner, and how thoughtful he was when selecting the fixtures without any special instructions. At the end of the day, the price was exactly what he had told her that morning. And the guys were as pleasant and respectful at the end of the day as they were at the beginning.
I don't know if all the guys at Cornerstone are as good as these two, but these two were super! read more
