So we end up leaving close to 10 from a 9 o'clock appointment when the treatments lasted about 15 minutes in total. And they only gave a toothbrush to one of them (thinking that they're going to share?).

They are remarkably adept at dealing with difficult kid patients and are an awesome team. We have been taking our soon to be 3 year old and 8 year old here for 2 years and we will continue to use their services as they are so thorough and super friendly. From cavities to cleanings and everything in between they do a tremendous job above and beyond the call of dental duties. We trust our kids dental hygiene with them & so should you!

Since posting my feedback, I have been receiving excessive and persistent phone calls--up to 15 times a day pressuring me to remove my review. This behavior feels inappropriate, unprofessional, and harassing. In addition to the original issue where I came in for a specific painful tooth but received treatment on other teeth that I did not need I am now also being blamed for the treatment decisions that were made and recommended by the provider. This is unacceptable. Patients rely on dental professionals to diagnose and recommend appropriate care. Shifting responsibility onto the patient after the fact, especially when the outcome has been ongoing pain and financial burden, is deeply concerning. At this point, I am not only dissatisfied with the treatment itself but also with how this situation is being handled. If done correctly I would have had an out of pocket charge of less than $25. Since they are in the plan the insurance company sends them the reimbursement check. Im still waiting for the dentist to remit me $72 I was overcharged. I must say if it wasnt for this incident I was ready to switch from my current dentist. I did find Dr Shih to be a good dentist and her assistants were very professional. Unfortunately, by having me pay out of pocket despite taking my insurance has made me rethink the change. While the orthodontist was kind and did his best, there was no way he was equipped to handle this with my very sensitive/sensory challenged son, and both visits were traumatizing and unsuccessful. Dr. Patel, and her wonderful staff - especially Maryluz who truly went above and beyond to help us-- got our son back into a trusting place, then were able to fit him and finally get the palate expander on with no trauma. Although I don't see her lol my experiences were dentists have been terrible throughout my life. Dr. Amrita is the opposite of this experience! I've taken my children's dental health very seriously as I don't have the best dental health myself. That being said, they've been doing to the dentist regularly since they were 6mo old. To begin with, the front office staff is very pleasant and kind. I've worked with Jennifer quite a bit and she always has the best demeanor and professionalism. The dental hygienist is thorough and explain every movement to the children so they aren't scared. The waiting room is clean and fun with games and books. We never really wait waittt. It's usually pretty fast processing. The exam rooms are also clean and beautiful painted with marvel characters and scenic views. It makes the kids feel calm as we talk about the designs while we wait. Finally, Dr. Amrita is such a calm presence in the exam room. She remembers tiny details about my kids, peaks to them (and me) in conversation because they are the patient. And always asks them if they have any questions. She explains concepts to us as parents and answers all of our questions and concerns. She's also provided us with various options when we've run into these needs. My daughter needed some work (and particularly one instance when a tooth needed to be extracted) and WOW! The patience and kindness she showed my daughter was memorable. I was so grateful that through is scary event; we knew the dentist was upset or getting annoyed or frustrated with us (as a previous dentist did). She gave us time to calm down several times and would peek in to see if we were ready to continue. I am super appreciative and grateful to be a part of her practice. Getting stickers at the end is also pretty sweet! 110% recommend!
