I have been going to this establishment for maybe 2 years or more. Ebony (who no longer works there was the best even though she was the financial person she always came in the room with me to calm me down because i don't like the dentist. The hygienist are good & so are the dentist ( some of the hygienist can be a little more sympathetic towards the patients and have some type of consideration towards people since they don't know there situation). Evelyn the office manager is very rude and disrespectful towards me and my children. I have never spoke to her until Ebony left. Since then she has always given me attitude. When i was there she asked everyone how was there summer and to enjoy the rest of there Sunday. She called me and in a very aggressive manner speaking to me. My daughter was crying because the hygienist was rough so she wanted to leave, Evelyn flashed her hand towards us and very loud ok bye girls. When ever you go to the dentist you get the x-ray then the cleaning, well not this day she got the cleaning then wanted to give her the x-ray and charge her $45 for fluoride. Then Evelyn wanted to charge me $316 for sealants that was already done on my child. How can i trust them. read more

Patients rarely say they love their dentist's office, but I really do like coming here. It's easy to get an appointment (they actually answer the phone!) and they also call to confirm. The dentists are excellent--Dr. Silverman, Dr. Rajabi, and Dr. Klein (all of whom I've seen), have provided me with excellent care. They and their support staff really go out of their way to explain everything. The office is pleasant, with the latest dental technology (including same-day crowns) and lots of natural light, and the office manager Evelyn is super-helpful and competent. I was extremely disappointed by this office. After I made an appointment for both my kids two months ago I received a notification for my upcoming appointment which was in two days for one of my sons. I called to verify that I had two appointments not just one and the receptionist informed me that the dentist had to leave early and was not able to make the second appointment. I told the receptionist that this was unacceptable and unprofessional for them to cancel an appointment that I made two months prior. I also informed them that NO ONE called me to inform me of this change. Then they tried to give me another appointment one month later mind you. My time is just as precious as the next person. Can't recommend Dr. Asadi enough! She is very professional, friendly and caring, making me feel at ease during my visits. The first time I visited her office, she took the time to patiently listen to my concerns, explain treatment options and answer any questions I had. I felt that she was genuinely interested to understand and take care of the problem. During the procedures, she explains everything as she goes along, making sure you are comfortable at all times. A 1 star rating for Dentist Assadi is 1 star too many. To preface my following review, I work 16 hour days so my time is valuable to me. I also tend not to find myself angry often at all. I have learned to laugh off other's poor behavior as anger is not a positive emotion and I enjoy living my life as a happy person. Given these reasons, I would not waste a moment to take the time to write any reviews (good or bad) but I have chosen to make a very special exception for this woman, "Dentist" Assadi, who for some reason believes her time is so much more important than any one who is reading this. Honestly, the only reason I initially went to her was out of convenience. I knew nothing about her but I knew I had work that needed to be done asap. Her practice did not accept my insurance and I was not bothered by having to pay out of pocket for necessary work. I scheduled a consult with Assadi hoping to not only discuss a future plan of care, cost and reasons why my teeth were failing. I had arranged to have recent X-rays transferred for her review in order to save myself some money hopefully. Assadi literally provided me with 2 minutes of her time during this "Consultation" - 2. I dont even think she bothered to introduce herself or say hello to me. I was not treated like a living breathing human. I opened my mouth, she picked around for a minute, barked out some numbers and letters to her assistant and she was off. 2 minutes for $125.00 which also surprised me as I was not told prior to appt that just entering her office would cost me money while waiting for X-rays. A couple of days later, I received a call from her "finance manager" Ebony telling me that new X-rays would be required as the ones they received were not acceptable for review. I agreed and paid out of pocket for them as well. I did not see the Dentist during this time. I was told that the "Artiste" of a Dentist would create a plan of care for me and would be in touch. The next day I was called and asked if I could come to office so the Artiste could review the X-rays while examine my teeth at the same time. I said yes of course and left my job to accommodate this request. Again, no welcome greeting, no conversation whatsoever. Just another quick prodding around again yelling out numbers and letters to her assistant. This time I actually wanted to speak with her, like humans normally would, especially when discussing a business transaction. I soon found out that she could not care less about client interaction when I dared to ask a question and found her actually reading emails being received from her apple iPhone watch. Human nature as it is, I immediately knew that this "artiste" of a dentist was beyond rude and not worth another moment of MY valuable time. Yet, I was told to speak with the finance manager again where I was given 2 options for work required - one which would cost just under 10K and the other 20K. Remember, this work only included a few teeth. I asked advice on buying my own insurance to help divert some of the cost, I offered cash for a discounted price. The whole experience to me felt corrupt. I was actually quoted 6K for a tooth implant process when one of the most famous , highly rated international celebrity dentists in Manhattan was not even close to that figure. At this point I was angry. I took their computerized cost analysis with me and told them I would review my options. A second opinion is exactly what I did. I filed all necessary paperwork to have my new X-rays and entire file transferred to me. Additionally, given the personal and professional treatment I had endured by this egotistical "Artiste" of a woman, I demanded to actually sit down to speak with her regarding her dental suggestions especially since a 20K estimate was dropped in my lap. It became very clear that the "Artiste" did not appreciate being questioned and challenged directly. She actually began making personal excuses for her unprofessional behavior (like looking at her watch while I was trying to speak with her) like I should give a damn about her personal problems. Either she can handle work or she can't. I dont want to hear about her family problems. Everyone has issues. She needed to be confronted and deserved a firm push back. I had hoped that maybe she would take in my words, think about them and maybe move forward in her practice and make adjustments to her behavior and bed side manner. Sometimes people need to hear the truth. It soon became clear to me that she had not learned a thing. Even though I had in writing 2 previous financial estimations in hand including all teeth previously discussed, I was given a third by Ebony (finance manager or whatever) with all prices haven been increased since alerting them of going to get a second opinion and was lied to straight to my face without even a blink of an eye. If you like being lied to and abused, go for it. Not me. Bye. read more

I must say I am extremely satisfied with their level of service from the ease of making my first appointment. The front desk staff was very kind and helpfulness with my needs and were able to schedule me in for the same day because of my excruciating pain. Dr. Asadi, was very kind and knowledgeable as she explained what was going on with my tooth and the options I had. From that day on forward I have continued my care with her and have also started Invisalign. Needless to say my husband and two children are now patients there as well. Reviewers please read carefully. This review is for RIVERDALE COMPREHENSIVE DENTISTRY owned by the clinical director Dr. Shahla S. Asadi and ran by the office manager Evelyn Gaitan. This review is not for the old office of Dr. Ginzburg as I know she has retired since 2016 and now the new practice still keeps Dr. Ginsburg name attached to the address via Google and Yelp. I've been to this office a few times and I have friends (that no longer go to the practice) that has visited and confirmed the nature of this office and validated everything that's being stated in this review. This management of this office is the poorest of any management, let alone be for a dental office. Since coming to this office, I've noticed nothing but a hostile environment. The manager is very rude to her staff and even the patients. She talks down to them even in front of the patients in the lobby of the office. I've even seen her come in sweat pants and I guess she thinks that acceptable in a supposed to be professional office. She comes off at snobby and thinks she knows everything and that people around her knows way less. She even says things behind the doctors there and even talks rudely to who I thought was the boss, the owner. The owner of the practice, Dr. Asadi, schedule is so unorthodox. She's there only a few times a week as I have noticed from visiting there and then only there for a few hours. I've even witness her leave and told the front to reschedule her patients for the remainder of the day for no apparent reason. And then I hear the front making up excuses as to why the doctor wasn't in that day and had to reschedule their appointments in which can get annoying at some point. Friends of mine who has been trying them out, but have been loyal patients to Dr. Ginzburg, since the practice had been changed to Dr. Asadi has seen so many dentists come in and out of there. The turnover rate is horrendous. It's like every few months there are different dentists that comes and goes and it's never consistent. You'll be coming in for treatment and then when you want to schedule to see them again they say they are no long there. And it seems even more with the front desk. It's like every other week you see a new face and they would be some very friendly people, but I guess after they try to get settled in they see behind the scenes everything that really goes on in that office that they didn't like the unethical things that were happening there and the rude manager and her way of management. The appearance and cleanliness of the office is not there either. The lobby is so dim. The lightning is horrible and the floors in the operatory rooms looks like they haven't been mopped in ages. That's not all, one of my friends came in and they stated she needed a bonding after removing decay. After a few weeks after the procedure, the bonding broke into pieces while eating an apple she says. She came back in and had it replaced and it broke even quicker. The materials they use must be cheap material because it happened 3 times until she just went to another office that took care of it and had no issues afterwards. And the instruments too looks old and needs to be replaced. The same when it came to some of my coworkers who I used to work with within the city who has been going to the office after it was take over by Dr. Asadi with their crown and partial. They had to keep sending it back to the lab multiple times until they finally got a decent prosthetic and then for it to break months afterwards. Horrible horrible treatment. So overall we give RIVERDALE COMPREHENSIVE DENTISTRY under the management of Dr. Asadi and manager Evelyn 1 star even though they don't deserve that in my opinion. They are in my building, which is very convenient. My husband and I went to our first appointments last week, and they were very thorough with the exams and cleanings.
