In my experience, he showed very little patience with children and seemed easily frustrated. I was honestly surprised by how he interacted with both kids and parents. He was pushy about treatments and appeared more focused on charging fees upfront than on fully explaining the procedures. At times, we were charged before the work was completed, and then told we would receive "credit" for the next visit. When we asked questions or expressed concerns, he did not directly address them. Instead, he rushed through explanations and dismissed our input. As parents, we felt our opinions were not valued. We were also pressured to use laughing gas for our child when we felt it wasn't necessary. When we asked about alternative approaches, he became upset and raised his voice, insisting he would not proceed without it. Overall, the experience felt rushed, stressful, and uncomfortable. A pediatric doctor should be patient, understanding, and willing to communicate clearly with parents. Unfortunately, that was not our experience

All my kids go there and we've been happy with the quality of work. The only downside is that pretty regularly the paperwork side of the house is lacking. You'll get a quote for one price and then the invoice comes in and it's $400 more than you were expecting. Or you update information and they don't do it properly and you have to enter new info and dispute charges because they used your old insurance info on accident and now it's your headache to deal with as a result. The front desk team seems a bit disorganized and the charges can seem unnecessary, confusing, if you don't stay on top of things. They also try to add unnecessary procedures and costs to inflate the total bill, so make sure you question why a kid needs laughing gas for sealant or something. But once you decline they don't argue, but unless you're monitoring what they suggest, you'll get charged for some stuff you don't actually need. TLDR, the ones doing the actual work on the teeth are A+, and that's most important. The front-desk team is C- and it seems like there's a concerted effort to squeeze the max amount of charges onto every bill/procedure. But it all averages out to a B+ and we'll continue going there.

The two techs?! *chefs kiss*. My girl, I think her name was, Jasmine, was a god send and kept chatting with me. The other tech was just as amazing! I just don't remember her name. While the orthodontist was kind and did his best, there was no way he was equipped to handle this with my very sensitive/sensory challenged son, and both visits were traumatizing and unsuccessful. Dr. Patel, and her wonderful staff - especially Maryluz who truly went above and beyond to help us-- got our son back into a trusting place, then were able to fit him and finally get the palate expander on with no trauma. After a negative experience with a different office I found Dr. Suh and his team. From my first experience I knew I had found my dentist, here's why. 1. Clean, modern office. 2. Straightforward billing- at the start of your appointment you're told what to expect as far as billing goes (no surprise bills in the mail!) 3. It doesn't feel like Dr. Suh and his team are selling you anything- after your cleaning, he comes in, does a thorough check, asks you questions if something looks off and will tell you if it's something that needs treatment right away or not. He will explain, answer questions and show you on the monitor in the exam room what you need to know. HUGE brownie points for that. As a new patient they were thorough in asking how comfortable I am with dentist visits- I'm an oddball who actually enjoys dentist appointments- rest assured they will make sure you're as comfortable as possible. The detail that goes in to each visit is much appreciated by this over thinker. You get glasses to protect your eyes from any flying bits during your appointment. There's a small monitor if there's a program you want to catch up on. During the recent pandemic, machines to keep air particles to a minimum (something like that) were brought in to give everyone peace of mind. I can't say enough good things about this Dr. Suh and his team and recommend anyone who asks me for a good dentist in lower Westchester.

When scheduling, I made it very clear that I would need nitrous due to dental anxiety. After arriving, I waited over an hour past my appointment time, only to finally be told by the receptionist--without any empathy--that I couldn't have nitrous because they had "used the last of the oxygen." This is not a small oversight. For patients with anxiety, this kind of preparation and communication is essential. To wait that long, after traveling and arranging childcare for a newborn, only to be dismissed so casually is incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. If you experience dental anxiety and rely on accommodations like nitrous, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. This office does not seem equipped to handle those needs with the care or consideration they require.
