As first time home buyers we didn't know where to begin looking so we decided to go with them. It was an amazing experience and anyone we know buying a house in the area will be highly encouraged to go with Home Inspection Solutions. Cliff was so patient with me and answered all questions that came up during the inspection. He did such a thorough job I am confident his findings fully represent the state of our future home and that peace of mind cannot be put into a dollar amount. Hopefully we will be in this home for a while but you can bet the next home we buy will be inspected by Cliff or one of his people!

This was also after the builder has their 3rd party, internal quality and city inspectors go through the property. John's report was detailed and informative with recommendations for corrections and standards. I would highly recommend him to my family and friends for all phases of home inspections. I'm going through the process of my first home purchase in Texas so I found several inspectors with great reviews on Yelp. I wound up going with Anchor, which was a great decision. I was able to schedule a same week appointment and the confirmation process was seamless. Chris arrived 30 minutes early and suggested he start on the outside, while I continued my work day. Chris was patient in answering my questions, reviewing the report, and confirming some of my suspicions about concerns with the house. I was referred by a neighbor's realtor and couldn't have asked for better service! My mind is a bit more at ease knowing a professional inspection has been completed. However, they did not see the $20k+ of water damage which I found within 30 minutes of taking possession of the house. They also missed a leaking window (different part of the house), that was an obvious problem just from glancing at it. They were very nice when we did the post-inspection walk through, and showed me pictures of what they had found. They verbally assured me the house had normal minor issues of a house of that age (some missing electrical outlet covers in the attic, some other easily fixable items). They said that they took more pictures than would be included in the report but if I needed any of them to just reach out. When I received the report it did not have most of the pictures that they showed me in the post-inspection walk through. I sent them a kind email asking for the additional photos as we had discussed. They refused to send more photos and became defensive and rude. This was before I even knew of the issues they had missed, but I should have known then not to trust their information. I would never recommend this company. I suspect that many of the positive reviews are of home buyers that did not have issues with their home, and were happy with the friendly vibes that these inspectors give off. The inspection was worse than worthless. I depended on their expertise for this house purchase and negotiation decisions. Follow up note, be careful relying on your realtor's company to give you home inspector referrals. The realtor's motivation is to get the deal closed. The home inspector will get far more referrals from a friendly realtor than they will from a happy homeowner. This could create a conflict of interest.

He also tolerated me following him around and provided detailed information of the issues he was seeing and explaining to me (in the case of electrical outlets) what should be happening if it was properly wired. He has amazing patience and took several hours to do the inspection. The report is very detailed with numerous pictures. Even the construction manager was impressed on how it was laid out. They were grateful that they were able to give this detailed report to their tradesmen to fix all that was deficient. The report provided guidance for me so I could go back and track each item to see if it was fixed. So worth every penny.

We wish we had him for our first inspection when we were buying the house. His price was very reasonable; especially after getting some outrageously expensive quotes and some questionably low "11 month quotes" from other inspectors only to find out that they don't have to abide by the same new home purchase inspection standards set by the TREC.
