The first time I met him, he brought in breakfast for our office . I asked him where this delicious food came from, and he said, "I prepared it myself early this morning." I was shocked, and not to sound sexist, I was impressed that any man would cook breakfast for a small office! I said, "Jim, anyone who will take the time to prepare breakfast for an office has my undying loyalty for a lifetime. I will be calling you for my next inspection." I never regretted that decision. He stood by me and every single inspection he ever performed for my clients, and he kept my clients calm during all storms, both before and after the sale. If, during an inspection, Jim Adams ever said to my clients, "Put on your track shoes, and I don't take these words lightly," I said, "We are out of here!" There's no one I trust more than Jim Adams and his friend, Kenneth Holford. Both are inspectors with Made To Last that I will always trust. I love you guys! Life is not always easy, and I know this more than most. It's good to have people you can trust in your life. It's a rarity that I will never take for granted. Jim and Kenneth, thank you for the love throughout the years. I will alway recommend you first.

Additionally, he made note of which items were a concern versus not a concern, and was able to give names and 'ballpark' estimates for repairs. By the grace of God, I am building a new house again and I am sure glad I was able to get John to come out and do a final inspection on my new build. He found things that another inspector that did the pre-drywall inspection missed and I thought that inspector did a good job. This was also after the builder has their 3rd party, internal quality and city inspectors go through the property. John's report was detailed and informative with recommendations for corrections and standards. I would highly recommend him to my family and friends for all phases of home inspections. If we end up purchasing this property, I will surely be reaching out to him for a 1 year home warranty inspection because he definitely provides value.

You should be able to spend a night in a home to test drive it before purchase...but until that becomes normalized - there are home inspections. We are working quickly to close on a home in Coppell and reached out to Angel based on his excellent reviews. He truly lived up to the hype. He was able to inspect the house within 24 hours of our request and spent a thorough 3 to 4 hours going over every detail, even climbing up on the roof. There is an upcharge to include a pool inspection, but we added it because it is always better to be safe than sorry. Angel noticed things we never would have even thought to look for. After the inspection, he took the time to personally walk us through the report, answering all of our questions, and then sent a detailed copy with photos just a few hours later. You really cannot put a price on peace of mind. Highly recommend!

However, they did not see the $20k+ of water damage which I found within 30 minutes of taking possession of the house. They also missed a leaking window (different part of the house), that was an obvious problem just from glancing at it. They were very nice when we did the post-inspection walk through, and showed me pictures of what they had found. They verbally assured me the house had normal minor issues of a house of that age (some missing electrical outlet covers in the attic, some other easily fixable items). They said that they took more pictures than would be included in the report but if I needed any of them to just reach out. When I received the report it did not have most of the pictures that they showed me in the post-inspection walk through. I sent them a kind email asking for the additional photos as we had discussed. They refused to send more photos and became defensive and rude. This was before I even knew of the issues they had missed, but I should have known then not to trust their information. I would never recommend this company. I suspect that many of the positive reviews are of home buyers that did not have issues with their home, and were happy with the friendly vibes that these inspectors give off. The inspection was worse than worthless. I depended on their expertise for this house purchase and negotiation decisions. Follow up note, be careful relying on your realtor's company to give you home inspector referrals. The realtor's motivation is to get the deal closed. The home inspector will get far more referrals from a friendly realtor than they will from a happy homeowner. This could create a conflict of interest.
