Liberty basically paid her an extra 4000 for nothing because carstar tried scamming saying it was a total loss. It was complete incompetence and they need to be investigated for their procedures and their diagnostics. And whether the insurance is paying the bill or not they need to be professionals and give a right quote for repairs.

Unfortunately, it's no different than any other dealership in the area. We walked in around 2PM on August 28th after already walking the lot and knowing which vehicle we wanted to test drive. We had driven and chosen which vehicle we wanted within 30 minutes. And yet, my husband didn't leave the dealership until close to 7pm. Our sales guy was great, no complaints about him, but everything else was...lacking. We refused to pay for the down payment until we signed paperwork because of past experiences that made us wait for hours after paying, essentially holding us hostage. When we told them that, they were "appalled by that behavior"...then still made us wait 2.5 hours to sign paperwork. The finance guy was skeezy. Throwing out large numbers and using predatory tactics to confuse the customer. My husband and I are intelligent people, but it still rubs me wrong that they still do those types of things. It was icky. Also still very sexist. Didn't look me in the eye. Acted like my husband is the one making the purchase and I'm just there as the wife. After waiting for the first few hours, my husband and I decided that I didn't need to be on the title just so that both of us didn't have to waste our day there. So I left. (and before anyone thinks anything about it, I have an 820+ credit score, the decision not to be on the car was purely because there's no reason we both need to be and we were tired of wasting time there). Two days after everything was said and done, they reached out as they had forgotten some paperwork. They made my husband wait hours, and they still couldn't get it correct? They wouldn't do a docusign, and since most people don't have printers in this day and age, we had to find a printer to print it out and sign, then scan back. We are now over 3 weeks from buying the vehicle, 5 days away from temp tags being expired, and they still don't have the paperwork ready for us to register. It "should be done" today. And they refuse to push through extended temp tags. PLUS they refuse to mail it to the city. Which they didn't tell us until AFTER we bought the vehicle. So now we have to take the time this week to do an over hour round trip to drive out there, pick up our paperwork, and then get the vehicle registered. We both work full time so my husband will have to take a half day off from his NEW JOB that he had to buy this vehicle for to handle this (which we were hoping he could get done in his 3 weeks off between jobs). We all complain about the people of St. Louis being the issue for temp tags, but these dealerships are 100% to blame. From start to finish this has been a rough process, and we'll be glad when this is all done. My point - they're fine, but not worth the extra 30 minutes out of the city to get "better service" because you don't actually get it. They're just like every dealership in the city. If we didn't buy new, we would absolutely have been on Carvana for an easier experience.
