We provided the party room (the common room in an apartment complex) and they brought the puzzles, the props, the ambiance, and great show-runners. They totally transformed the common room into a magician's lair, with a nice story and a fun setup. The goal of the setup was to unlock six or so locks, which would allow the magician to escape the box of death. In order to unlock the six locks, we had to unravel about 20 puzzles, which I won't describe here because I don't want to spoil them. I appreciated, though, that the puzzles were all different kinds of puzzles, so everyone could find something they could contribute. The magician themed room was medium-hard. I am told they have some rooms that are easier and some rooms that are harder. We are looking forward to doing their more challenging room at some point in the future. I also appreciated that the people working the event stayed in character and provided a lot of good energy. We had about 20 people at the party, so they had to run the escape room two times. It took about 15 minutes between runs to reset the room. They packed up in half an hour and left the room in great shape. We couldn't be happier with this booking, and I am already fantasizing about booking them again for another room.

Josh was a great guide giving us clues or nudges when needed to move us along and was very tolerant of our curious 5 year olds questions and energy. The kids are already asking when we can go again! I was the only one who had much experience in escape rooms, so although we did not make it out together we still had a great time solving the clues we could. The room was quite interactive with several elements you had to engage with in just the right way, rather than just a series of locks to open. Definitely challenging for us but maybe that just means we need to come back and have more practice!

We had a great time nonetheless and I would definitely visit again. I did find a key that I thought was part of the game. I was so stoked...then Elliot told us the key wasn't a part of the game lol. It gave me a good laugh. They have a large parking lot, so you don't need to worry about a place to park. We went on a Friday around noon and the place wasn't busy at all. Highly recommended.

However I felt the there was just too much of puzzles to be solved with the Damage Control themed room. To be honest the first 40-45 minutes was pretty fun. We got a good discount on our party and I believed we paid $18-20pp on this night. I had some complaints about the room...mainly one of the light bulbs needed to solve a puzzle was burnt out and we weren't aware of that until spending a long time trying to figure it out. Another group prior had damaged one of the clues by getting a book wet and red dye was all over the prop which made it difficult to solve another puzzle. Another one of the props was made with really thin paper and the ink bled thru so it was difficult knowing which side of the page to use to solve the puzzle. The theme was pretty weak and the immersion was really poor and it didn't feel really creative to us when compared to the 3 other rooms we've done prior. Despite the discount...we still sorta felt like we didn't get our moneys worth.
