Our family of 5 (mom, dad, kids age 5 and 7 plus grandma) thoroughly enjoyed our experience in the Enchanted Forest! Josh was a great guide giving us clues or nudges when needed to move us along and was very tolerant of our curious 5 year olds questions and energy. The kids are already asking when we can go again! I was the only one who had much experience in escape rooms, so although we did not make it out together we still had a great time solving the clues we could. The room was quite interactive with several elements you had to engage with in just the right way, rather than just a series of locks to open. Definitely challenging for us but maybe that just means we need to come back and have more practice! read more

We had a great time. The CELL BLOCK had three stages and I like how we were divided up into three groups in first stage and had to help each other to escape three cells to them all meet at next cell. Once we completed that we moved to a final cell stage. There were great challenges and it definitely challenged us. This was first time and we learned we need to confirm our leader as everyone wanted to be the ALPHA :):) Will do again!! All 7 in our group have a thumbs up. read more

We had an amazing experience! Don't get me wrong we failed miserably! This was our first time trying an escape room and we tried one of the more difficult rooms from what we were told. We did the daycare after dark room, I don't remember the actual name of the room. But it was in the dark and needs to be solved with the use of flashlights. This added to the difficulty of solving the room. We will be back to finish the room for sure! Great experience! The staff was so wonderful! read more

In a phrase: a fun, engaging experience marred by basic, avoidable issues. We successfully completed Cell Block as a group of two. The host was friendly, and the price was great (the best in the area). The room was well-designed, interesting, and creative, as were the puzzles, which were nicely integrated into room features (as opposed to some rooms we've done that just drown you in padlocks - boring!). However, there were three discrete set-up mistakes, all of which were failures to reset things to original locations/conditions. (Without revealing any spoilers: one clue had notes written on it by a previous team that hadn't been erased, and two items were simply missing and had to be handed to us by our game master.) Pretty off-putting to encounter at all in an escape game, let alone thrice. In addition, our game master was physically present and quietly watching (instead of using cameras and walkie-talkies like most places do), which was quite awkward at best, and at one point the flow of the game was interrupted because the game design meant that he had to walk us down a hallway from one room to another. Both of these issues could easily have been solved by making the game master PART of the room in an acting capacity, i.e. wearing a prison guard costume and interacting with the players, as in just about any other escape room that has a staff member inside the room (instead of just...standing there silently with a clipboard). Overall, a well-designed room with the potential to be an entertaining and rewarding experience but hampered, in our case, by multiple issues in game management. Honestly, we left the place feeling pretty bummed and underwhelmed, but recognising that 1) we only did one of the rooms ESG offers and 2) it could have been a fluke (game master having a bad day, maybe), my rating at this time stands at 3/5 stars. read more

We set up the Cell Block room for my son's 12th birthday party. None of the boys had tried an escape room before and it was a huge hit. The boys game assistant did a great job working with them and let's be real putting up with them. The boys had a great time working together to make it through each room to the final room and puzzles. Such a fun night I can't wait to go try one of their rooms. Perfect birthday party activity that is still being talked about. The location is convenient, staff was friendly and helpful. We are already planning our next visit. read more

I've been searching for a kid friendly escape room for a while and was so happy to find this one! The staff member on duty was really wonderful and gave them just the right amount of support for the activity to be fun and not too stressful! We will 100% go back again. read more

ESG in Tualatin was the perfect virtual team bonding for my team during the quarantine this year. Their team was responsive to questions and accommodations, and planning the event was easy! My team had varying levels of experience with escape rooms so we chose the middle level of difficulty and it was challenging but very straight-forward. I would highly recommend the virtual escape room to other companies/teams seeking a virtual happy hour activity. Thank you! read more

Go here! For reals. I've done many rooms and these people are so nice and accommodating!!!! This place is so fun! Morgan and the team accommodated a team building activity for our crew on a day they usually aren't there. Prompt with emails, really organized, and really good pricing. Not to mention our team was buzzing afterwords. We will be back!!! read more

I really went back and forth about writing this, but I can not get this experience off my mind. We visited on Friday evening, super excited to do an escape room. My husband, sister, brother in law, and myself regularly do escape rooms together. We completed more than 40 escape rooms together - all over the United States. This was by far the worst experience we've ever had. We played Beanstalk. We were first apprehensive when our game master didn't explain the back story to our game very well - essentially said "save the magic of the beanstalk" and then walked us upstairs. We shook it off, were still very excited as we walked up the stairs, and then he announced he would be in the room with us the entire time, which we have NEVER experienced before. There was no "you have an hour and your time starts now" or anything of the sort...just sat against the wall on his phone and basically just let us go. The puzzles didn't seem to make much sense or have much of a flow. The puzzles that did make sense, didn't work at all. There were a few times that the game master had to go behind a wall to reset things or turn lights off to make things "work". It just was a really overall crappy experience. Like I said, we have played so many escape rooms and always feel so energized when we leave, the only thing we felt when we left was pissed that we paid anything for that experience. read more

We had a group of 4 of us do the cell block room. We had a blast and made it out with only a few minutes to spare. I loved that you go through multiple rooms and really need to work together. I've done a few escape rooms and this one had just the right amount of difficulty. I would def go back again sin and try the other rooms! read more

We played the Two to Tango room. The host was unenthusiastic and warned us repeatedly that the narrative/theme of the room didn't make any sense, which as we found out, indeed did not. The room itself was very cramped. There wasn't much space to put away solved clues/games. The production values were sub-par. The games were poorly designed (e.g. having to ask the moderator to repeatedly play something). We usually get a sense of accomplishment and after escaping a room; For this room, we just wanted to get out of there and put the experience behind us. Give this room a skip. read more

We did the two to tango escape room. We were told you didn't need any outside knowledge... that everything would be provided; but that isn't totally true. Color blind people shouldn't do this. Not everything matches up so you kind of have to use your imagination and use your clues to get the answer When the music plays it is awful music that you hear. It is annoying rappy type. It is hard to get that wrenching sound out of your head so you can concentrate. Before we went someone warned us by saying "good luck" sarcastically. Now I know why. There isn't a great way to solve it without the clues. read more

Our group had played one other time at another facility and enjoyed it so much we were very excited to try this new place in Tualatin. Unfortunately, it did not live up to our expectations. First, while the description of the The Playroom did mention that it was a daycare after dark, we took that as "after hours" and not literally in the dark. The 8yo in our group was very anxious about going into a dark room with old toys that included dolls with missing eyes. A bit of a disclaimer might be in order. I would also suggest they supply headlamps rather than flashlights as it is pretty difficult to do puzzles and locks with one hand. Second, the puzzles were very linear, meaning that you really couldn't work on anything else, until you did the first thing, then the second, etc. And if we tried to move to anything else, our host would curtly remind us over the walkie talkie that "you aren't at that point yet", even if we had the clue to "that point" in hour hands. It's not that fun for 4+ people to watch 1 or 2 do a puzzle. Or maybe your extra people are there to hold the flashlights. Previous games we've played had multiple components that fit together so everyone had something to do. Third, while you are supplied five clues (by a host that is watching you) upon request, they are not always helpful. One clue we were given by the host, prompted us to spend (waste) 10 minutes on a puzzle that directed us to open a door we had already opened and completed. Another time we were given a clue, and when we began to act on it were reprimanded that we "weren't at that point yet!" Huh?? So often when we simply tried to explore the room (in the dark with failing flashlights) we were redirected by the host to stay on track. At one point she even barged into the room to tell us how to use a picture to find the next clue even though we were already in the process doing exactly as she directed. In the end it felt less like an interactive puzzle and more like a game of Simon Says. And last, their website says there is "Space provided in each room to store personal items". Please be advised that this "space" is a couch in a room outside the puzzle room. While the public might not have access, the staff certainly does. In a business full of locks, you'd think they could spare one for your credit cards and cell phones. read more

We had such a great time and the customer service was great. Yes, we escaped Cell Block (with just a few minutes left) but also the room was fun, creative and not overly crowded with stuff to confuse us or slow us down. Not gonna lie, we were a family of 7 so yes, our dynamic helped. But moreover it we just enjoyed the creativity and fun. I recommend! read more

We took 6 teenage girls for a sweet 16 party. They did the cell block escape room and had a great time. It involved multiple rooms to escape from and that increased the excitement. One girl said that she had done other escape rooms and this one wasn't boring!! haha I'd recommend it for youth, for sure. I took a peek into the "Two to Tango" room and it looked like it would be a fun date night event as well. read more

We had a great time! We did the Cell Block and with multiple rooms to escape from made it challenging and fun! The place is clean and nicely decorated. The staff is very nice and helpful when needed. We will be back to try other Escape rooms. read more

This is the second time I took my 3 children. Ages 9,14, 17. The first room we did was the Tualatin valley room. We only made it half way but had a lot of fun. This time we did the Cell block. We almost completed it and it was way more fun. All in all I think this is a great place to take a family and or a date. We purposely chose rooms that were designed for 3 or more people but I'm sure the smaller rooms are just as fun. Like I said earlier we still haven't completed any rooms but this is a lot of fun either way. read more

Went there for team bonding- we played cell block. We used 3 of the 5 clues and were able to escape with only seconds left. Overall we enjoyed ourselves because the team worked together to solve clues and puzzles, the 'warden' was super friendly and warm, and we escaped. However, everything was pretty low budget, so the experience wasn't as authentic as some other escape rooms that I've experienced. read more

Played the Tuelin game today through Groupon and I have to say this was poorly put together compared to other escape game places. First there was no story so therefore no experince. All it had were a ton of puzzles that often took too long to do in 60 minutes for 4 people. Moreover it was linear so not everyone can participate. There were so many scrabble type games that just are stupid without any clues. I wouldn't do this again. These guys shouldn't design random games and charge people. Go to another place that's got better reviews.! read more

Loved this Escape Room. The only problem is everyone didn't get a flashlight and then the flashlight batteries died...limits ability to see things to get out of the room in time. Totally loved it. Dollhouse is pretty hard....we needed about 5 more minutes and we would have been out. Definitely worth the time and money. read more

The room design was extremely creative and well put together (it was hard to figure out). However, there was short, curly haired red headed woman, who was extremely Improfessional and rude. She made comments about our physical appearance, and insinuated that we were stupid. After confronting her about it, she claimed it was because she got "no sleep" and was just "sarcastic" and continued to be hostile, and curse, the entire time she guided us. It's a shame that that was the beginning to our first experience escape space rooms. Besides that, the manager/owner seemed really awesome, and was nice to us, we just felt like our guide was going out of her way to be rude and use foul language. read more

I've done two out of the three rooms offered at Escape Space Games and I loved both. Doing escape rooms is one of my favorite things to do and I've now done about 13 different ones from different companies. I think Escape Space ranks one of the highest if not the highest in terms of professionalism, quality, affordability and creativeness as compared to other escape room companies in Portland/Portland area. My friends and I came out of the rooms feeling a sense of accomplishment since we felt the puzzles were challenging and fair. From an escape room addict, I hope that my high recommendation of Escape Space Games will prompt you to give it a try!!!! You won't regret it! read more

So much fun! We love going to escape games and this one was a blast. We did Takes Two to Tango and unfortunately didn't guess in the time allotted. We look forward to going back again. read more

This place is AMAZING!!!! I went with a group of friends and had so much fun! The Play House is by far my favorite! You play in the dark with flash lights but it's not scary which is great and had such a great time. So creative and not like anything around! I asked the owner Cory (who is incredibly nice) about having a birthday gathering there and he was more then accommodating and had some great ideas to make the event special for my cousin so we are really looking forward to that and can't wait for the family to experience the fun. Thank you everyone at Escape Space Games in Tualatin! :) read more

What a fun time we had. We actually figured out the "escape". Cleverly done clues. Can't wait to do this again.

My four kids and I escaped out of the cell block room at Escape Space Games. After leaving the establishment and paying for movie, I noticed I only had $30 in my wallet when two of my kids had just given me $50 each right before we came in. I left a message at Escape Space Games. I sat down at the movie and went through wallet to find that gift cards were missing. I called the place again and left a message. Kids and I watched the movie and Escape Space Games never called me during that time. I called again as we were heading over there, letting them know I was calling the police. I then received a call back 10 min later. I met the officer, gave the details, double checked my costco receipt from last week and confirmed that 2 PF Changs, 4 Baja Fresh, 2 California Pizza Kitchen and 1 Starbucks card were all taken out of my wallet. $390 value. As I had put $50 in my wallet while at the establishment, and know exactly what gift cards I had, I am 1000% sure they were taken while at this establishment. The host told me I could leave my purse in the cell block when we went to another room, it was left there unattended for 20 min. Very upsetting to have your money and cards taken when you go with your family to enjoy your time together. SKIP this place or risk being robbed. read more
