Corner Pocket is a fun refreshing atmosphere to be in on a Saturday night and they have a nice front outdoor patio area to chill and relax if need be. There were even pool tournaments going on every Friday (check that out!) Super entertaining to watch. Food and drink pricing is affordable(recommend the wings!!!). Theres beer on tap and a full service bar. Lots of accessible pool tables with big screens showing a variety of programming (boxing, football, basketball, etc.) Over all zero complains with this place, the bartender Mary was delightful, informative and fun to be around -makes great drinks too!!.. and the manager was friendly and made us feel right at home! I went here last night, 11/27, we got a table and started playing pool, service was fair and it was a good vibe, not busy but about 4-5 tables being used, I decided to go to the bar and grab a margarita, it was literally the worst margarita I've had in my life. I'm a margarita girl and I've had not the best margaritas but never one that was undrinkable, this definitely was undrinkable. It tasted like vodka and salt mixed together and it was 9 dollars! Literally had no other taste and I'm a bartender and I have no idea how you make one so bad. 1/10 for my entire experience. read more

My dad always took us to Corner Pocket ever since we were kids so it's kind of tradition The food is good but I do kinda wish they had a few salad or plant based items but I guess it'll just take time for more companies to adapt to a healthier menu so until then it's just the heart stopping deep fried fast foods for now. Also, I use to enjoy choosing my own pool stick as a kid and they've since took this option away. The rule is 1 pool stick per table. Although I totally get the idea of only 1 person is playing at a time per table but this theory goes against increasing the customer experience and instead it acts only as a money saving mechanism. Plus it doesn't make anyone feel very sanitary. Again this idea only decreases the customer experience. In a perfect world, one day in the future hopefully, this place will have healthier eats and will put pool sticks back on walls. read more

So, I was a little disturbed the last time I came here. Last Saturday, I came here with a few friends as usual. We decided to order a couple of drinks. I was sitting at the bar and watching the bartender make my blue Hawaiian. The bartender was almost finished with my drink, and she needed to add in the pineapple juice last. She picked up an UNLABELED container, studied it, opened it, and then smelled it. After deciding it wasn't moldy or spoiled, she poured it into my drink. She then tasted it before handing it to me, which I know is protocol sometimes. However, it just seemed suspicious as if she was double-checking to make sure the juice wasn't spoiled. My drink tasted just fine, but it bothers me that the juice wasn't labeled. I'm pretty sure it's to law to date when foods are opened and placed into fridges. Furthermore, the bartender completely messed up three of my friend's Irish car bombs. She poured the Guinness in a whiskey glass, poured the whiskey in the beer, put a little shot glass full of Baileys directly into the whiskey glass, and told them to drink. We were all mortified as we watched them assemble the car bombs because we never saw it done that way, and usually the person taking the shot is the one who drops it into the glass. If I could give negative stars I would,period. I asked for a drink, cranberry and vodka, and somehow the bar tender managed to give a vodka tonic. I used to go to this place all the time never had issues b4. Me and my son went yesterday and enjoyed our games, played 3 games. When we first started, the lady at the register said she needed a debt card on file, but it will not be charged. Unless water cost,I didn't purchase any food or drinks. I played my LITTLE HEART out this weekend. I really did, but this little lady is not going to Nationals in Vegas. I participated in my first Regional Tournament this year, which was held at Corner Pocket. This was such a legit pool hall. There were 22 bar size tables, all in pretty good condition. The layout of the hall was great too, considering there were about 100+ players from all over the West Coast. Kieran and I chatted with the owner/bartender for a bit about his aspirations for the place and the guy was super nice. His passion was pool, therefore he started the business about 20 years ago, and now he's hosting regional tournaments there. That is super awesome. They have GREAT beers on tap and excellent sized mugs and the bar food.... WOW! Best bar food ever!! I broke my fasting for Lent (gave up fried foods) and grubbed down on fish and chips and even moreso, their BUFFALO WINGS! I was in Pool Hall heaven! First we tried to get another table next to our group since there was so many of us and everyone wanted to play, we asked nicely and the lady with long red hair said that it was reserved, when it wasn't. A man from the back with a beard came to the front of the desk and said it was not. I used to love playing here in the secluded atmosphere until a few days ago when i realized they had been stealing money from my bank account over two months after my last visit. Consistantly stealing small amounts so that i wouldnt notice, probably hoping to do so for long term. Now i know i will never go there again and would suggest no one else does either or at least dont use any card to pay for your bill. Even if you dont use a card, id hope you dont want to support and continue an untrustworthy, fraudulent, and criminal business. I wont be going near there again and nor will anybody close to me. DO NOT COME HERE! Let me just start by saying I'm here all the time so I know what to expect when walking in. Not the cleanest tables, bar or best pool tables but we play here nonetheless. So, last night me and my brother walk in, typical Friday of ours we come out drink a few pitchers and play pool. This particular night we get the table near the gigantic speaker, and tonight it is blaring obnoxiously. Now I'm no stranger to loud music, but when the speaker is right next to your table at max volume it can get a little annoying. We get started, speak to our bartender of waitress whatever they're called and ask if she can turn down the music and nothing was done. Ok, no biggie we'll play through it. My brother orders us our blue moons, oranges included. As he pours our drinks he shows me his glass, and on the orange peel a sticker. I'm no germophob by any means, but it's safe to say as a bartender a sticker on an orange is a no go. So I tell my brother to go get a new drink you know, because who the hell wouldn't. Now my brother, he's not like me, he's nice. He's calm and respectful, beyond what I can say of myself so he goes over, asks for a new drink and Stephanie (the bar manager) yes, the angry blonde who hates her life everyday, gets upset, pours my brother a half filled beer and gives him no orange. He asks for the orange, again she snaps angrily and hands my brother an orange. Mind you we've played maybe half a game of pool, and my brothers got chalk all over his hands so when she hands my brother the orange his first reaction is,"my hands are dirty", so he drops the peel on the counter as she storms away. At this point my brother comes back and explains to me this miserable woman's attitude and I'm absolutely pissed. Being a previous manager I understand customer service over everything! But I don't say a word, we'll just continue playing pool. Not 2 minutes later, the security guard comes over and tells us we gotta pay for our table and get going. Me and my brother are thrown the hell off and ask what's going on, and I couldn't believe it this shitty ass miserable manager accused my brother of throwing a damn orange at her!? So guess what, now we have a whole damn pitcher of beer that we heave to chug because this manager can't handle her shit. I'm absolutely disgusted in the way me and my brother were treated last night, not by the staff or security but by this miserable manager who made it her responsibility to try and ruin our night. We come here and spend some damn good money. We're here every Friday. Im writing this review to let everyone know the bs we dealt with this Friday night. We will not be returning until we are apologized to and compensated for our pitcher and 1 hour of our pool table session. Furthermore, if this manager, Stephanie is still managing we will never be back. She should be ashamed. And as a business whoever is running this joint should see after it that this never happens again. I will be waiting patiently for an apology and our gift card to return. I hope this review is shared for everyone to see the way you treated us Stephanie.
