I came here for the gelato, but I was equally impressed with the other confections they sell, in particular those gelato whoopie pies. I can't remember how many flavors they have, it's at least a dozen. We were allowed to sample them, and the lady behind the counter suggested some flavor combinations that either she liked or were popular - those were spot on! The scoops are generously sized too! It's not obvious from the counter, but to the left there's also a very nice side room in which you can sit and enjoy your purchases. They're in a great location in Dennis too. read more

Went to this place for coffee and saw they had breakfast sandwiches on the menu. Ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese (on the menu) and the employee told me it would be a wait because the eggs weren't made yet. I said okay, that's fine. Employee then said it would be a while. I asked how long and the employee wouldn't give a time frame. I would have waited, but the tone and repeated comments of the employee told me that the employee didn't want to make it. During this interaction, the person I was with suggested to me that we go to another shop nearby for the sandwich and the employee was not bothered by the loss of business. I will never return here. I have told my family and friends to stay away, and felt so disappointed by my experience that I took the time to write this review. P.S. While we were waiting, someone who seemed like a "regular" (and who seemed to know the employee) came in and was also treated so rudely. read more

Ordered some cakes for my twin daughter's 18th birthday. I was told it would be no problem. Show up at pick up time and learn that the baker failed to note my order that was communicated by the staff on duty the day I ordered. They didn't have anything to offer me so I had to scramble to find something at 4pm the day of for my daughter's big day. I asked the people working who were very nice to have the owner call me and never heard from them. Employee showed me text from baker/owner that she received confirming she could make our cakes. It was a real bummer. read more

Horrendous food and service. Both the owner and employee are rude and dont deserve anyone's business! See my google review for more detail

I ordered a pie from here for my husband for Father's Day. It was their peanut butter pie and it was absolutely phenomenal. Thick layers of peanut butter cookie crust, chocolate, peanut butter cream, and whipped topping. It was insanely rich but we couldn't stop eating it. Even more awesome? The owner delivered it right to our vacation house. Now that is service! It made for a delicious Father's Day for sure. read more

I was hoping to have a great experience with Corner of Yum as we have never ordered a cake from anyone on the Cape. After reviewing yelp we decided to give this business a try as most reviews were fairly positive. We chose a pretty standard cake and placed an order and that is when the process fell apart. We experienced terrible communication with the bakery, answering machines full, unqualified people trying to answer questions, mix ups on deliver and pick up, just total chaos at best. Finally after being told the cake would be delivered by noon we had to pick it up. All of this would have been forgotten if the cake itself were anything close to fresh and tasty. The cake was dry like it had been sitting there or pre made days ahead. The price was $42 for an 9" cake with two vanilla halves with chocolate frosting, not complicated. In short this business may be better than what we experienced but we had a very negative event. Probably will give someone else a try in the future. read more

Family ordered a birthday cake for me from Corner of Yum. Knowing how delicious their gelato is, I hoped for the same in their cake. All i can say is it was quite stale tasting. I believe it may have been a cake prepared to sell in the cafe and was repurposed as my birthday cake rather than baked to order. I would not take a chance on baked goods from Corner of Yum again. read more

Hands down the best on the cape. So easy to work with. They were so accommodating and would recommend 150% to use for any and all events!

Perfect iced latte! Adorable little place with amazing treats. Young man who helped us was friendly and helpful.

I found the bakery by Yelp search and I am so glad I did! I inquired via Facebook about cakes and things they could make- they responded so quickly and asked if I needed anything specific. They were able to make me a from scratch turtle cheesecake for the next day to celebrate my dad's birthday. My mom doesn't typically enjoy caramel but loved this! It tasted homemade, not too tacky, perfectly salted. I cannot say enough about this small bakery. Excellent service and sweets ! The rest of this will be devoured shortly. read more

I began the ordering process two weeks in advance of the event that I needed a cake for. Maybe my mistake was to email the bakery and rely on that form of communication alone (although now I see other reviews did say they still had problems making orders over the phone.) At first Carole was very helpful in determining what to order, one cake and multiple cupcakes. But then communication broke down and I hadn't heard from her in many days to confirm. Five days before the event, I reduced the order to just the one cake and no cupcakes because communication was so bad, it made me nervous. (Instead of the cupcakes, I ordered a backup cake from Stop N Shop--yes, we would have had two cakes for event). And then I had to email again the day before the event to see if it was still happening. I got a terse reply basically saying, "time is tight, what do you want?" I emailed her two hours later confirming what I wanted and she never replied. In five different emails, over the course of the two weeks, I asked what the cost of everything would be and Carole never answered that one simple question. Terrible customer service. They clearly don't need mine--or anyone else's-- business. I also see other reviews say the cakes are dry, so it looks like we dodged a bullet. read more

Carole did an amazing job for my last minute request!! My daughter requested a chocolate cake for her birthday an I would typically make one myself however time was not on my side this time. To put into perspective how delicious this cake is, we have a family recipe that's been around for well over 70 years and it's a chocolate cake it's the only chocolate cake my family makes and eats for all occasions. While tasting this one I said to my husband, it's a perfect replacement to our family recipe and I throughly enjoyed it! My daughter was extremely excited thank you Carole for taking my order with such short notice! We will be back for sure read more

Last week I called and ordered a cake to be picked up today for my daughter's birthday. When I ordered on the phone, I was told that I had to pay in advance. Today, I went to Corner of Yum to pick up the cake as ordered and was told I had to go to Umami Pizza & Fusion to pick up the cake because that is where they bake the cakes. When I went to Umami Pizza, I spoke with Carole, the owner of Corner of Yum. She said there are no more cakes to be picked up. I explained that I ordered the cake last week and was charged $46 for the cake on June 26th. She stated I believe you but there is nothing I can do for you. I understood that she obviously doesn't have the cake we ordered and then requested a refund. She said she can't refund because it's a different establishment and said I need to speak with Nikki the manager of Corner of Yum and the person working at that time does not know how to do refunds. Then I asked aren't you the owner and she said yes. "I'm busy with dinner "and "like I said there is nothing I can do for you, you just need to leave." I left, with no refund and a manager who had no care about resolving this matter. This was the worst customer service I ever experienced, I will never order from this establishment again. Beware, I was reading other reviews and there are others who placed an order for a cake and when they went to pick the cake up there was no cake. read more

Scammed my whole family. I ordered a cake and went to pick it up and they had no cake....ruined my families birthday party. Now I have a crying four year old. The owner told me I had to leave the store and didn't give me a refund... stole my money. Don't buy a cake from here. The service is terrible and the owner is rude. If I could give this place zero stars I would. read more

My wedding was only about a month ago and I have heard so much praise from all of our guests about our desserts! The owner of Corner of Yum, Carole, not only made 120 delicious cupcakes in 4 different flavors ( dolce de leche, English lemon, lemon raspberry and peaches and cream) for our guests, but also a beautiful and delicious wedding cake in the flavor of our choosing. Carole delivers everything herself including the tasting cupcakes right to your house. When we did have requests about changing things up (one of the frosting was a little sweeter for my taste) Carole delivered 100% and we were so satisfied! The fresh organic ingredients that go into these cakes really make the flavors so lovely and enjoyable! In terms of customer service we couldn't have been happier: answering promptly to calls and emails we were excited to have Corner of Yum be our dessert caterer! Our experience was all around delightful! My husband and I are already planning digging into the grooms cake for the 1 year anniversary! In addition how great everything tastes, the price was also very reasonable! As a bride planning her own wedding, I researched and spoke with many other bakeries and caterers and was very satisfied with the finally cost of our Wedding dessert! read more

I've been to this place before and had a freshly prepared egg sandwich. I thought that would be the case today however it was no comparison. The sandwich was prepared in advance and warmed up. The Nitro Cold Brew was also disappointing, I'm not if it was the milk or the brew as it had a strange taste. It was not worth the price tag. Although the people were pleasant tI don't think I will return based on my experience today. read more

When you can't decide on one wedding cake flavor, choose them all! Carole totally out did herself for our wedding at the Popponesset Inn on 4/23. She delivered beautiful cake platters, hand written signs, a two-tiered blueberry maple cake (lactose-free for the bride), a dozen gluten free vegan cupcakes, and another 8 dozen cupcakes ranging in flavors from fancy plain jane to cafe con leche. Usually, there's tons of dessert left over at weddings, not at ours. We watched people eat one, two, and then go back for a third cupcake. Our guests raved about the treats and asked where they can find the bakery. Thanks for making our wedding day extra sweet! read more

Not a good experience this am. Do not order any coffee drinks here. Fool me twice, shame on me. Asked for extra hot latte and got a barely warm, expired milk latte that was undrinkable. I don't think they do much business in the coffee game. They should close the coffee line down and focus on baked goods and sandwiches. Cupcakes good at least read more

Carole has gone above and beyond to make our celebration's special. She catered a birthday party for us and everything was delicious. Then we decided to try out some of her Mexican specialties and we were hooked. The empanadas are flaky. The chicken enchiladas have brought us back time and again. The meal is complete with all the sides, homemade guacamole is spot on. We have tried some of the prepared, dinners and soups and they are perfect if you don't want to cook that night. Of course we like to round out our meal with a cupcake or two. The variety is nice, but we do like the fancy pants the best. read more

Maybe they were having an off day, but I cannot recommend their cakes. The special cake we ordered was dry, yet heavy, the buttercream frosting was inconsistently applied, you could see the cake showing through in parts, it was overly sweet and did not taste of butter. Also the requested filling was not done, there was just a very thin layer of a flavored something between the cake layers. The cake itself was lopsided. Worst of all it left a peculiar aftertaste for hours after eating. We eventually had to toss it, such a waste. read more

I wasn't able to make it to Cape Cod for my mom's 65th birthday. Carole made the most beautiful cake, delivered it, and even picked up a cute card and signed it for me. I cannot thank her enough for helping me out with my mom's birthday cake. On top of making a beautiful cake and delivering it with a card, she was extremely communicative the entire time via email. Paying her from a different state was super simple and she did exactly what I needed and wanted. I 100% recommend her for any cakes and cake deliveries, especially for birthdays! Me and my family have visited the "Corner of Yum" several times when we vacation on Cape Cod for their outstanding Gelato. So, I decided to try a birthday cake since it was my wife's birthday while we were there on vacation. The cake was beautiful and instead of writing the birthday message on the cake with frosting, they used a little chalk board and placed it against the front of the cake. My wife loved the decorations and the little chalk board with the "Happy Birthday Jan" written on it, which she thought was a great touch. My wife, my daughters and I all agree that this cake is, by far, one of the best we have ever eaten. read more

I've ordered a lot of birthday treats for folks in Massachusetts over the years, but this year I got the treat of finding a new place for operation birthday in Cape Cod. I found Corner of Yum and ordered the chocolate chip cookies, pretzel bars, key lime pie, and carrot cake. All were (I hear) delicious, but the cookies and carrot cake were apparently the *best* that my family had ever had, which is saying a lot! To top it off, Carole made the local delivery process so EASY, with very welcome updates about when she was going to drop them off so I could coordinate receipt, etc. Since they apparently offer NATIONAL delivery for some of their treats, I can't imagine going anywhere else for future remote birthday celebrations! read more

My boyfriend ordered a peanut butter and chocolate pie for my birthday (the day before of course) and Carole got back to us right away and delivered it the next day right to our door with a smile!
