What can I say, we always detour on our way home from the Cape to get Cupcakes! This time we got the Orange Creme! Sorry no photos because they were gone before we left the area!! Parking is hard especially on a Sunday afternoon when everyone is heading back home. So we do a drop and drive around the parking lot. Service was fast & very informative and friendly, restaurant is always clean with stylish decor! We been coming here which seems like decades! And cupcakes are always fantastic!! read more

Tasty cupcakes! Not sprinkles but delicious all the same. Staff were friendly and helpful. Fluffy cupcakes and rich frosting. In the summertime I could see parking may be an issue, if you are only coming this way to try out these cupcakes. Respectfully Reviewed. read more

The peanut butter chocolate cupcake is SO good. I love that there's usually a filling in the middle of the cupcake, it's always a fun surprise. They have cake cups, cake pops, ice cream, as well as gluten free and vegan cupcakes! The girl who helped us had such a fun attitude that made us laugh while getting some birthday treats. read more

I like the cupcakes here. They can be pricey but overall pretty tasty. I usually get the peanut butter one and it has fudge filling too.

We were craving for ice cream and found this dessert place next to Tavern on the Wharf. There are a wide selection of desserts from cupcakes, shakes, ice cream, sundaes, chillers (mix of ice cream & mix-ins), cookies/brownies, cake pops, and cake cups. This review is mainly for the ice cream, we didn't get to try the cupcakes since we were so full from lunch. We ordered 2 chocolate sprinkles cones and vanilla cones. It was a bit disappointment when I got my cones. Usually, a swirl ice cream cone has ice cream swirls up around all the way to the top. but this cone only had like 2-3 swirls (it was pretty short). I forgot to take a photo since I was so excited about it. Sadly, the ice cream did not have any chocolate flavor at all, all I tasted was milk flavor. I would come back to try other desserts such as the cupcakes but will pass on the ice cream. read more

Yum! We have seen this place for years and never gone in. We finally went in and got 2 cupcakes. They were fluffy and moist and delicious. I am disappointed it took me so long to try them (but also glad, for my waistline!!). They have a great selection, including gluten-free options, and I think the prices are reasonable. read more

Wish we had this cupcake store in Nevada! These are the fluffiest cupcakes filled with flavor! The frosting is also light and fluffy and the whole thing is just delightful! They always offer a great selection of flavors-lemon is my personal favorite with peanut butter chocolate a close second. The Halloween decorated cupcakes that they had were adorable! read more

Staff is kind and helpful! The treats are amazing! Our group got a Boston Cream cupcake (classic, of course), whirlie with vanilla soft serve and lemon drop cupcake (amazing), lemon raspberry gluten-free cup (delicious), pecan bar (delectable) and a mint cupcake (refreshing)!! This shop has a fun 50's vibe, so fun! read more

These cupcakes were YUMMY! We were in town for the weekend and had a sweet tooth so searched Yelp to see what was nearby, we found this spot. Me and my boyfriend went in and saw all the yummy cupcakes on display. We ended up choosing a raspberry surprise cupcake and a red velvet. Me and my boyfriend usually share each others food/desserts, but not this time.... the cupcakes were so good, we ended up eating them all to ourselves and didnt share. The cake itself was so moist and tasty, and the icing was sweet but not overkill- how I like it. If I was ever out this way again, I would come back here. read more

CHOOSE THIS PLACE - whatever your need is; cupcakes, cake, custom cake, choose Charlie's. My original baker bailed on me last minute. I live in FL and needed a cake for my daughter's birthday. They took this order on a Friday afternoon and had my custom cake and cupcakes ready on Monday afternoon. Pleasant, helpful, and wonderful people. I sent a couple of picks and HOLY COW Michaela came through. From the design and decoration, to the taste. It was flawless. She absolutely loved it. Look no further choose Charlie's. It was a perfect experience. They have my Mass business for as long as they are open. Kudos Charlie's (Michaela is keeper) 12 out of 10 experience. Thanks so much. P.S. I hope I spelt her name right and apologize if I did not. read more

Well I don't think the Pilgrims brought over cupcakes but I can tell you that Cupcake Charlie's does cupcakes right. Just around the corner from the PIymouth Park, this cupcake place serves up a yummy array of cupcake flavors. One thing I hate is when cupcakes are TOO sweet and TOO rich. Fortunately here, the cupcakes are the perfect blend of sweetness. I got a box of cupcakes with flavors: Orange Creamsicle, Chocolate Overload, Chocolate Raspberry (filled with ganache), and Funfetti. All flavors were really really good and you can tell that the cupcakes are made fresh!! Only thing I would recommend is that you don't try to save the cupcakes like in the fridge, because they tend to get kind of hard. If anyone is ever in the area, then I would I recommend visiting here! Any kid (and adult) would enjoy cupcake from here!! read more

If you are on the South Shore and need a sweet treat...this is THE place!!! Their cupcakes are fresh, moist, flavorful and the frosting is the best I have ever had!! So smooth and creamy like ice cream! Went on the way back from the Cape, they are so friendly...I asked for a frosting shot that they didn't have in the case and they happily made me what we wanted! Cupcake Charlie's - Try the lemon it will knock your socks off. - Bakeries Near Me - Plymouth, Massachusetts

This review is based on just the cupcakes. Overall, I did enjoy the cupcakes here. However, I feel as though there is too much emphasis on the frosting and less on the cake itself. There is a good variety of flavors to select from. We got red velvet, carrot cake, and chocolate raspberry, but I feel as though the flavor is more so found in the frosting. The cake by itself is average and lacking some flavor on its own as if it's missing something. The ratio of frosting to cake could be measured a bit more proportionately (there's a LOT of frosting), which I'm sure some people love, but for me personally, it was a bit much. Overall, Cupcake Charlie's is a solid spot to grab a quick dessert, but I'll probably explore some other options next time I'm in Plymouth read more

I love coming to Cupcake Charlie's!! It's the best bakery on the south shore. Right on Plymouth harbor and you can enjoy your treats and sweets with a view! Over priced for a disappointing product. We have had them before, at different locations, this was bad. Seemed old and sad, we bought 4 different flavors, waited until we had supper, wow so small, $18.89. We'll never buy them again. read more

Too much frosting. My family and I each got a cupcake and we all threw almost half of the frosting out. My cupcake was somewhat dry (red velvet) as though it had been left out. My family's cupcakes were moist though, so I'm not sure what happened. The cashiers seemed a little pushy and immediately asked us our order as soon as we approached the bakery case without giving us a moment to see all the cupcakes...kind of annoying. The place should also get some more seating. Overall, I was kind of disappointed as Cupcake Charlie's is well known for their cupcakes. read more

We cut the cupcakes in half so I could try three on my birthday! I tried the 1. Lemon (Yum) 2. Peanut Butter (Delish) 3. Hostess (meh) As noted, the only one I didn't really like was the Hostess. At almost $4 a pop, I would avoid that one! read more

This place is addictive, so it's probably good that they aren't so close to home. Although, I have tried to talk Mike into opening one in Foxboro at Patriot Place, but I haven't convinced him yet. So far, everything we have tried has been absolutely delicious. I think my husband's favorite is the Peanut Butter Pleasure. I haven't been able to pick a favorite yet. We are headed here again tomorrow, so maybe I'll have a favorite from whatever I get on that visit. The Hostess with the Mostess is oh so much better than an actual hostess cupcake. But they are all so rich and delicious. And they are decorated beautifully. The flavor combinations are amazing. I did finally get to see the Cupcake Wars episode and they so should have won, and I'm not just saying that because it's a local place and I love it. But c'mon, the judges all loved their flavors and while I agree the other display was probably better, shouldn't the taste and appearance of cupcakes be the real determining factor in who should win? read more
