I literally took 1 lick of my cone and it flipped out onto the ground. I immediately went back to window. Girl would only replace it if she charged me half. Terrible customer service!!!!!!says you take credit cards on your website, until you get to window and told cash only. Have been going to Ericksons for years with our children. Children are all grown up now. One lives in a different state and another in a different country. However, my husband and I get so excited when Erickson's opens! My favorites are coconut, peach and orange pineapple. My husband loves their rum raisin. Ice cream is so creamy and fresh. And the sizes are well worth the money. So glad they are back. Wish them the best of luck! read more

Found this place by accident while driving from Plymouth to Wareham and boy was I pleasantly surprised at the friendly atmosphere from the staff and the great ice cream. While they do not make their ice cream fresh or in-house as it comes from Richland's or Richardson's in Middletown or Middleburg. I am not a resident or a local. But I been traveling through America checking out ice cream place and this was great. I was able to try as many flavors as I wanted, I originally ordered the kid size which gets you a huge scoop and a half of two different flavors for $3.75 but saw they had pints and quarts which was a much better deal as a pint is $7.00 and you can get up to six different flavors and a quart is $10. and you can get up to 12 flavors. These are the flavors I opted for the Raspberry with chocolate pieces was delicious and reminded me to the Talenti flavor Black Raspberry Chocolate chip, the Butter Pecan was just as delicious, Coffee was a bit overpowering for my taste but the french vanilla and chocolate were scrumptious. The friendly staff (2 girls and 1 guy) were professional and amazing and the pints pretty average cost with the rest of ice cream shoppes in America. I would go back here in a heartbeat and probably will this weekend before they close up shop for the season. read more

A tradition for those going to and at camp in the Myles Standish forest. A trip down to Erickson's is a pleasure for all those who have had a great day in the woods. There is an ample supply of flavours and six picnic tables out back. The gravel parking lot is adequate for all but the busiest summer season. Watch for the sign and "Open" flag. My husband and I just moved to Plymouth and we happened upon this adorable little ice cream spot. They have lots of flavors that sound delish! The staff is super friendly! They have $1 doggie ice cream! The ice cream is a little bit pricey. $4 for a kiddie, for example, BUT they are very healthy portions. I'd say the kiddie is more like a small, and a small is more like a medium, and a medium more like a large, you get the point. They only accept cash so plan ahead! We are excited to make this our regular ice cream stop! read more

Great prices and amazing New England ice cream!!! They have a ton of flavors; I really like their Oreo cookie, peanut butter, and pistachio. Service is always friendly and they move any lines along. It is in a semi wooded area so there are a ton of bugs just an FYI. If we plan on eating there standing or in the car we bring some bug spray. Recently a sign has been put up saying that they raised their prices, but I didn't even notice. Got a very generous serving of ice cream for 4.25. read more

I read somewhere that good ice cream is a denser ice cream. The lack of air bubbles is the mark of a good cone. I can honestly say that this was the case when I had Erickson's for the first time. Aside from being 'dense' ice cream, it was delicious. Also, it was humongous. We balked at the prices, but now that I have seen how big the kiddie size cone was (which was the perfect amount for me), I can understand the prices. Also, there was a nice picnic table area set up in the back that you could go and eat. I think it would be detrimental to my health to not go back. read more

Of course this place sells Richardsons ice cream which is one of the best in the state . It is expensive however so don't be surprised.

The original owner was Mr Erickson. He was was elementary school principle back in the day (RIP). The tradition has stayed in Carver. It's very clean and the ice cream is great. It tends to get a bit busy, but it's worth the wait. read more

We first went to Ericksons seven or eight years ago on our way back from Plymouth, MA. I remember it being a hot and sunny day, and we had just stopped there after seeing it on the side of the road. It was one of the best experiences that I've had with ice cream in my entire life. Being from NYC, we don't have the opportunity to come here often, but whenever we are in the area, we think back to this place and, after spending several hours trying to remember its name, always end up back at Ericksons. Right on the side of route 58, one of the best Ice Cream Stands around. Great flavor selection. There are some new flavors this year, some involving Oreos, (Coffee Oreo is my wife's favorite.) It's tough when you go, there are some flavors I like, and I keep wanting try others but I keep falling back to Ginger. It is amazing how refreshing ginger can be on a hot summer day. read more

[UPDATE: Turns out that this isn't really Eriksons, but rather just another run-of-the-mill Richardson's reseller with Erikson's sign on it.] This place is good, since it's located right near King Richard's Faire, so I can have some ice cream after the day at the faire. Quite a selection of flavors (40 of them), and the usual brownie sundae and banana split they have there. It's juat a nice lovely setting with the tables on the gravel along with a senic relaxing look. Too bad they close way before the king's faire ended, since that was potential for more money there. If they would have stayed open through Halloween, they would have made more money. What a shame. Also, their hours are too short during the summer, which Kimball Farms and Bedford Farms closes at 10pm. But why 8pm on a summery day? Blaa. But it doesn't really matter anyways, since I really don't go there that often unless I go to King Richard's Faire. Oh, and an update that when I recently visited, this is really not Eriksons, but it's just Richardson's ice cream, as I found out on a few of the flavers and when I saw that new Peanut Butter Oreo flavor and the fact that the containers said Richardson's ice cream on it. It's not "homemade", it's Richardson's ... which is found in a lot of places around New England. I've been coming here since late 50's ... I'm sure it's changed ownership at least once since then? Prices are high, high, high. Staffed by mostly pleasant local students closely eyed by the owner who lives next door. Most people would rate higher since they have only Friendly's and B&R for comparison. But don't drive out of your way. read more

My kids, husband, and I stumbled upon Erickson's after going to Edaville Railroad. The ice creams were amazing and the selection was insane. For the money, the sizes were huge (the kiddie size looked like a medium at most places). My husband's shake was too watery, but I blame him for not taking it back. Huge section of flavors and great ice cream from Richardson's. Prices have jumped again this season. Hubby waits all winter for his hot fudge sundaes. Small size is up to $6.50. Service by college students is friendly and efficient early in the season. A major issue here is parking. Any time it rains, the parking lot fills up due to poor drainage. Lake Erickson, as we have taken to calling it, deters us from visiting. read more

This is my absolute favorite ice cream. It's the BEST. Pure and Simple! The only thing I find annoying are the hours. This is why I'm only giving you 4 stars! I was just there at 10 minutes to 8:00 p.m on a Saturday night, Memorial Day Weekend, and they close at 8:00??? It wasn't even dark out. We were all saying the same thing to each other out at the tables...we can't figure out why Erickson's would turn away money and get people upset? I was lucky enough to get my ice cream but there were some very upset people. I would say there were at least 40 to 50 cars that were turned away in the time it took me to eat my cone after they closed. People were upset because I'm sure they drove out of their way to go here like I did...probably after dinner, looking forward to an ice cream cone. One guy sped out...made quite the scene. Like I said, It's a great place, great service, great ice-cream, nice tables to sit but really should be open at least until 9:00 on a Saturday, especially on a holiday weekend. read more

The ice cream itself is good...but try guessing their hours....and then you gey there and you find they are finally open, parking lot is full, you see a girl standing out at the road holding up a sign saying closed ....c'mon...really??
