The food was pretty good but the service was horrible. I get the times are different but I have been to plenty of restaurants since COVID started and this was by far the worst experience. They were not accommodating at all. There was 6 of us at one of the tables on the patio and I asked for a high chair for my 1yr old but they couldn't even provide one because there were already 6 of us at the table. The girl who took our order was rude. At one point I even asked for the food to go as we waited because they just kept harassing us. I've followed Corner Joint on instagram for over two years and finally got to visit California and the 1st restaurant after me and my girlfriend got our rental car was to visit this place. It was actually not that far away from the LAX airport. Anyway, the food was so amazing that I came here twice in my 4 day stay at LA. I had the fully loaded Michelada along with a side of fries. I can't recommend that enough. Also I ordered the Al Pastor burger for my second visit which was still delicious but the drink was more amazing. This is the third but definitely the LAST time I will ever come back. I recommended this place to my girlfriends because we were looking into getting a michelada ! We arrived at 2:30 pm and all the seats were filled but were told it would be 15 minutes , we've been waiting for 1 hour . No one ever said "I'm sorry for the wait", or acknowledged us standing here. 2 tables ate their food and waited for their friends to arrive to save their spot. The couple that came in after us got seated before us ! As an establishment , there should be rules in place to avoid this & a time limit per table- so that the patrons that have been waiting can be be seated. I'm very disappointed at how the staff handled this & will gladly take my business else where! I understand covid but this has never happened at any other restaurant that I've been to since the reopen! Okay i found this place by instagram. The place is cute and clean, i really liked the decor. Now as for the service, welllllllll. I went on a saturday morning and its was starting to get busy fast. The waitress was nice but I had to keep telling her to speak up about 5 times because she spoke softly and still wouldn't speak up. It got louder as people arrived so it was hard to hear her. Now for the food. We ordered the waffles with the build your own breakfast. The waffles were super good especially with the strawberries and fresh bananas on top. Actually the whole meal was really good. Now I ordered the instagram famous chelada with bacon wrapped shrimp and sliders. The chelada itself had a really good flavor (and I've tasted so many). The bacon wrapped shrimp was good but the sliders I can't say I liked the taste on either of them. Something about the pastor and the meat on the other one was not flavorful. Maybe suggestion would be a chicken possibility. Now as for wait times...that was not good. Took me about 15 mins to get a waitress to the table, 15 minutes to get water, 30 minutes to get food which i figured should not have taken that long especially an easy breakfast plate. Then i had to wait 15-20 more minutes after my plates to get the check and thats only because the owner (i assume by instagram story) was busy walking around cleaning up. Overall, this place is okay. I would go there for breakfast or micheladas but again i didn't taste all of menu and i would have to expect to spend more then usual time there based on this experience. read more

So I tried this place for the first time. Had to admit, I liked it as soon as stepped in. The professional work ethics made the experience even better. Well the food, you can see on my photos, it was all Bomb AF. I didn't get anything to fancy, except for the drinks, but it's a must try for sure. Little hole in the wall but well worth it! Best friend brought me here to celebrate my birthday we got the Chelada with mango. We both added he all pastor slider which were pretty good. The pastor lacked a little flavor but the griddled onions and pineapple with cheese and avocado made up for it so was pretty bomb. I added the bacon wrapped shrimp which were perfect and she added the Mac n cheese bites. Those were amaaaaziiing still craving some today lol. We both got the chicken pesto panini flavor and cheese melt was perfect but my ciabata bread was a little overly toasted but still pretty delicious. This restaurant is pretty chill. I had the lunch special, which consisted of a Philly cheesesteak and the soup of the day, which was chicken & veggies. The meat on the cheesesteak was very tender and the hoagie bread was magnificent. Bravo to the chef! I really enjoyed my sandwich as well as my soup. The lunch special was only ten bucks. Owner, your staff was inviting and pleasant to interact with. Customer service is a huge part of this business and you have no weak links in this chain. Congrats! Appetizer: We started off with Macaroni Cheese Balls for the appetizer. FINALLY someone that knows how to make these things! Perfectly seasoned inside and out. The chipotle style sauce was the perfect pairing. Main course: I had the Beef Burger with bacon and avocado, fries well done. Burger could have used a bit more salt, but I'd rather it be less than too much. All ingredients were fresh and the burger was huge. The fries were well done as ordered, crispy and brown. My Wife enjoyed the Farfalle (Bowtie pasta mixed with sriracha, pesto sauce and tossed with chicken, zucchini, mushroom, cilantro, parmesan cheese and served with garlic bread) I'm not much of a pesto fan but I tasted it and loved as well. Drinks: Wife had Jalapeño Margarita and reported that it was super delicious! I had a coke and water. One thing that I can't stand is a restaurant that serves tap water. Invest in a good filtration system like Corner Joint and you'll give your customers another reason to enjoy their experience Over all, this place exceeded my expectations. Like all the other happy reviews, I too share the love for their Micheleadas. They will have you forgetting all of your troubles and considering your life choices as to why you don't drink these every day. I've had the best micheleadas in Mexico and these definitely hold up to my standards. That good! Be adventurous and add some bacon and/or slider on that bad boy! For fear of getting you in trouble with your doctor lecturing you about liver problems...let's move onto their food. My favorite food items are definitely their breakfast and happy hour items. I've had incredible waffles here. Nothing like a fresh waffle garnished with the freshest berries and an unhealthy amount of whipped cream! I was pleasantly surprised with the tastiness of their happy hour items including scrumptious chicken tenders/french fries and dip as well as their chicken quesadilla. Their food items during HH are five bucks! More money for another micheleada or two... I would certainly avoid this spot during peak hours such as weekends, but definitely make your trip over during the week day. I've had several experiences where there seemed to be understaffing issues. I've forgiven all that and returned several times avoiding weekend times and have been very pleased with every visit. Didn't expect much from this place. But we went by here to finish the day to check out their happy hour. We were greeted immediately when walking in. Apparently they have different specials each day. The happy hour is everyday from 3-7pm. The place still needs some remodeling done. But it's inviting and a nice little spot. The name suits it very well. We ordered two different pizzas, chicken quesodilla, beers and wine. The pizza. Well... you know what? it aint bad at all! I wasn't expecting much but holy shit... they actually know how to much pizza here. Good indigence and tasted very fresh. It was a tasty pizza!. Chicken quesadilla. The chicken was fresh and cooked properly. Lightly seasoned and a ok. Nothing to complain. Just your basic good tasting chicken quesadilla. Oh and it came with a salsa they make in house. It isn't bad either. Beer and wine during happy hour is $1 off so beer comes out to $3 or so. Not bad. We all had a good time here. It has AMAZING service and I do mean AMAZING. I think that's what really made it memorable for me. Overall I'd say check it out for a lunch special or a quick bite with a beer. The food is decent and the price is right. During this pandemic the service was excellent. Before arriving here I read their negative reviews and they all complained about service issues. I'm glad I gave them an opportunity and showed up with a friend. As soon as we walked in we where greeted and explained their COVID process. We placed our order at the door and waited about 10min for food. Drinks where dropped off 2 min after sitting down. This place had a full house today 8/29, and service was not behind at all. They only offer patio seating and take out. The staff had masks and gloves at all times. They disinfected tables constantly and the menu tables. Restrooms where clean as well. Patio tables are 6ft apart and staff would respect distance as well when coming to the table. I will recommend this place to friends and family. Better food than a greasy spoon, nice use of flavors, my group ordered the pastor burger, truffle fries, salmon salad (this was excellent), buffalo cauliflower, and sliders for the kids. A bit slow on the takeout given the order for 8 people but worth the wait, a sample survey of the diners all seem to have happy faces when dining in, and they have mini-burgers attached to some of their drinks like you would on a tiki-drink, kids noticed this and asked a patron if it was a real mini burger band it was! read more

Came ti Corner joint after I got off early from work so at about 2pm. The server Luis was very nice and attentive. The food was really good I got the pesto panini with truffle fries and a raspberry margarita! The margarita was perfect the alcohol wasn't over bearing you could really taste the raspberry and it was garnished nicely. The panini and fries were the perfect portion they were both flavorful. I ate it cold and it was still the best shrimp I ever had in my life! It also comes with two beautifully stacked sliders! The Mac N Cheese bites are wonderful! They were huge cubes, not baby bites! Crispy on the outside, cheesy on the inside. The dip that came with it was perfect! I also tasted was the beef burger. The buns were so golden, shiny, & beautiful! The patty was super thick! My ONLY COMPLAINT is that this place closes at 8 PM but other than that the food is amazing. Best bar food I have had so far down here in the South Bay. I usually find bar food either mediocre or too salty but the Corner Joint offers such a good variety. I ordered the mediterranean salad with chicken and Cesar dressing. I was not disappointed with how fresh everything the salad was. My family also ordered from the interesting sides like the buffalo cauliflower, mac and cheese poppers and the pizza. Bottom line everything was good and best part is you have the option to have the food delivered. Don't be fooled, this place is way better than Padrino's Draft House & Grille down the street.
