First time traveler to Hardy and we scouted our this place for breakfast. Pancakes require a hearty appetite because they are as big as the plate, 10 inches wide. They are huge but taste great. We ate the cheese and sausage omelette which was prepared nicely. Friendly and attentive wait staff. Prices are very affordable. Looks like we will eat there every time we visit Hardy. Good food and atmosphere. We spent the weekend floating on Spring River with friends. We were looking for local café on our way out of town and found this place. Plenty of parking in the back. Plenty of seating. They told us it'd take a while to get our food, but good coffee was served immediately and we chatted and enjoyed the place until our food arrived. The servings are plentiful and cooked just right. I had a western omelette and biscuits with gravy. She had chocolate chip pancakes. They were huge! We'll return for sure. read more

You will not regret stopping in this quaint little restaurant. Service is very friendly, prices are incredibly cheap & the food is good. My boyfriend had catfish, shrimp, mashed potatoes with gravy, corn and a roll and I had grilled chicken breast, mashed potatoes with gravy, side salad and a roll and 2 ice teas and our total bill was $14.28. The mashed potatoes and the corn were a bit cold on the inside, but were very tasty. The grilled chicken breast was bland with no seasonings, but I assume it is because the majority of their customers are locals and many are senior citizens. The catfish is the best catfish that either one of us have ever eaten (and we are huge catfish eaters). Very very good! There are many items on their menu that I would like to try. All plates were like $3.99 to $5.50. Great little find and we will definitely go back when we are in the area. read more

Highly recommend this fortunate find. This was first interesting restaurant we found in middle of 5 hour drive from Memphis to Branson. Wide selection for breakfast & lunch. Cozy country setting with wooden booths. Had meatloaf special with mashed and fried squash. Included desert of sweet potato pie. Wife had strawberry shortcake. Outstanding all round. Friendly service. Place filled quickly a lunch hour so you know it's good. read more

2 eggs, 2 sausage, hashys, toast with water. 7.25 I've ate here many of times and always come back. If you find yourself awake before 2pm stop in and enjoy food and local talk. Hadn't been in it for years. Needed to grab some lunch. Excellent Reuben! Service is okay. Parking is in a lot behind and across the street.

If we don't feel like cooking breakfast, this is where we like to come. The homey, rustic feeling of the little building and the friendly waitresses that happily serve endless cups of coffee and plates of eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes and biscuits... There are no fancy dishes, just good, home cooking that you don't have to clean up after. We have never actually been there for lunch so I can only speak to their breakfast food. Coffee is ok for diner coffee (if you like it strong and rich, bring along a Starbucks Via or other instant coffee to spike it; something we keep with us for such occasions). Eggs are cooked just as ordered, bacon nice and crispy. Hubby says their biscuits and gravy are good as well. We're just going to have to get lazy to cook again soon! read more

Neat interior with antique dolls & pictures. This use to be a gas station. Free parking lot in back. Breakfast was basic but a good taste. Omelette had two choices in cheese- yellow or white American. Portions were large. Coffee was basic diner coffee which I like. Corn beef hash was cooked so one side crispy which I also like. read more

You will not be disappointed if you stop here for breakfast (and probably every other meal)! The place is super cute and eclectic, every seating option is a booth (of course) and the food was incredible and VERY reasonably priced. I had two breakfasts and it was only $8! This was the first place in a while I gave a shot at ordering my eggs the way I like them and it was worth it. My eggs were cooked better than I could have imagined and everything else was so good, too! The biscuits and gravy weren't amazing or anything, but they were better than most places I've been, the pancake was monstrous and so was the delicious Belgium waffle. read more

Amazing place! Very cozy, old fashioned decor, almost like you've stepped back in time. The owner is amazingly sweet and attentive, and welcomes everyone who comes through the door. You'll get a plate filled to the brim with delicious food that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Great prices for great food. I used to eat there every week during the summers when I was a teenager, and I've eaten there a few times now as an adult. It hasn't changed a bit, which is definitely not a bad thing. I recommend it to everyone when they ask for a good place to eat in the area. read more

Great place to eat with a pretty neat setting in the old bus depot in downtown Hardy. The food here was outstanding, I had the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and okra. When you bite into the meatloaf it takes you back to when grandma made it for you on sunday afternoons. The strawberry shortcake there was also divine, I highly recommend it. We ate at perhaps their peak lunch hour and they only had 1 employee for all of their tables. So it was quite a long wait to until you could eat or pay out. read more
