We love this restaurant! Lots of choices on the menu and pretty fast service for a sit down restaurant! Breakfast all day is a hit with everyone! This restaurant sits right on the Mammoth Springs with a view of Spring River.

Great catfish plate! Burger was also flavorful and moist, fresh ingredients. Super friendly staff and they got us in and out in less than an hour at lunch on a Saturday. Friendly folks here in north Arkansas!! We had a great time here. Ever see a river that bubbles right out of the ground!?? After you eat, go across the road and check out the amazing Mammoth Spring! It's beautiful and very interesting. 9M gallons an hour come from that little spring.

Food is good home cooking with an outstanding view. We're here at least once a week and everything we've tried is delicious. Service is friendly too.

    Great view!

This place wasn't bad. The food and service was good, but not great. The view looked great, but the waitress didn't ask if we wanted to sit outside. Maybe the tables out there were full? Anyway, I really wanted breakfast, but we'd gotten there during the only time they don't serve it (Sundays 11 - 2). I ordered the Open Faced Hot Beef and hubby had the Grilled Chicken Sandwich. It was good. I think breakfast would'a been better. P.S. Dry county.

stopped here on the way to our MO destination to meet some friends for breakfast. We were able to choose our own table; the waitress was nice & friendly and the view is spectacular! I ordered the biscuits & gravy, they were a little firm and the gravy tasted like canned gravy. Another of our party ordered eggs over easy and crispy hash browns; the eggs were barley done and the hash browns had crossed the crispy line into the burned section. Definitely a little disappointed here

We just had a fabulous lunch and even better service on our way home to KC. Lovely views and the menu was wonderful! Even had a great kids menu. We will definitely be back!

We've been here twice this trip. We came back through on the way home specifically for their vegetable soup. It's awesome. Homemade and LOADED with veggies and flavor. My fiancé got their signature burger once and bbq stuffed potato. He says both were awesome.

The food slowly declines year by year as the prices continue to increase. If country cottage is closed we used to go here, but not anymore.

However, the wise and folks that love to explore, will insist on experiencing what's most important--the food, service and atmosphere. Hands down, this place prepared one of the best tasting and presentable steaks I've ever had! It was seared with perfection, tender and melted in my mouth with flavorful juices. The service was amazing! Services was amazing because they were being themselves and moving with a sense of urgency. They weren't trying to put on "a show of perfection". Constant communication amongst themselves and with customers. That feeling you find in a happy, warm and family oriented place usually called home. No fancy name needed to the restaurant, or corporate owned image that chain restaurants have. Just a restaurant conjoined to a convenience store/gas station, that can easily put to shame big name restaurants. Whomever may read this review of mine, do yourself a beautiful gesture...come indulge and enjoy an epic steak, or even something else off the menu. Oh yeah, and their apple cobbler and strawberry cake are super!

I spent the day hyping up this restaurant, to my visiting relatives expecting the same great meal…read morewe had a year ago, only to be completely let down and have the rumors I refused to believe be confirmed. From the moment we arrived, our waitress seemed in no hurry and was forgetful to say the least. It took multiple requests just to get a kids' menu, and our drinks sat empty for nearly 30+minutes. She never cleared our table of bread, salad, or soup plates, so we ended up stacking them on the concrete wall beside us as we finished each course--simply because we couldn't stand the clutter anymore. About 10 minutes before the main course was served, she returned to tell me they had run out of filets and asked what I'd like instead. I switched to a ribeye. Our food finally arrived around 8:30, even though we were seated at 6:45--an hour and forty-five minutes later. During that time, I spoke with Leroy, the owner, more than I did with our waitress the entire evening. To top it off, she added an automatic 20% gratuity for our table of seven--four adults and three children. We're generous tippers, but jt was blatantly obvious she was coasting through the night knowing the tip was guaranteed. When the ribeye finally arrived, it was one of the toughest cuts I've ever been served--full of tendons and gristle, and certainly not worth the $40+ price tag. Honestly, I could have picked up a pack of two better ribeyes at Walmart for the price I paid for the one I didn't even eat tonight. When I mentioned my disappointment with the steak, she seemed unfazed. The only redeeming parts of the evening were the view, a cup of soup, and the vanilla crème brûlée. I made an effort to express my disappointment before leaving with zero effort on her part to engage in a solution. So I tried calling on the way home to speak with someone--no answer. So here we are..... our entire table left disappointed! It was especially embarrassing after I'd talked the place up so much--only to end the night with a $320 bill and a thoroughly underwhelming experience.
