This restaurant was an absolute shitshow from the second I walked through the door. The service moved slower than a snail crawling through peanut butter, and the staff looked like they'd rather be doing literally anything else. The food showed up looking like it had already been eaten once and sent back for a second round. My burger was drier than a desert and the fries tasted like they were rescued from the bottom of somebody's butthole after a three-day camping trip. I took one bite and immediately started questioning every decision that led me there. The bathroom smelled better than the kitchen, which is a sentence I never thought I'd have to write. The steak was tougher than a truck tire, and the vegetables looked like they had been personally insulted before being thrown on the plate. And don't even get me started on the prices. These greedy bastards were charging gourmet money for food that tasted like it was scraped off the floor behind a gas station dumpster. Every item on the menu felt like a direct attack on my wallet. By the end of the meal, I felt like the restaurant had reached into my pocket, stolen my cash, and then kicked me in the ass on the way out. If disappointment had a headquarters, this place would be the corporate office. One star. I'd rather lick a rusty shopping cart and eat stale crackers out of a raccoon's butthole than come back here again. Absolute garbage. 0/10. read more

The food was fantastic, the views were beautiful! Our waitress Harley was great and everything came out very quickly. We got the fried mushrooms, the catfish basket and the BBQ sliders and it was all 10/10. Highly recommend! We are only in town for a few days but i may come back here tomorrow night. There was also groundhogs and some other critters in the river bottom that made the experience much better. One of my best dining experiences in a long time! read more

Kayson was amazing that was our waitress. She was so cute and amazing and sweet very attentive and never complained even tho it was so hot in there ! ! The food was yummy ! I did feel sorry for the girls because it was very hot in there and the cooks. I'm sure it was extremely hot back there. They need to fix the air conditioner. It's sad that workers! We came to Wood's Riverbend Restaurant for lunch. The place has a great view of the Spring River. It also has plenty of seating indoor or outdoor. The lunch menu has various options. We enjoyed the meal and Sabrina S. was very attentive. She asked throughout our meal if there was anything we needed. Kudos to her and the staff. The drawback is the parking can be a challenge. Great catfish plate! Burger was also flavorful and moist, fresh ingredients. Super friendly staff and they got us in and out in less than an hour at lunch on a Saturday. Friendly folks here in north Arkansas!! We had a great time here. Ever see a river that bubbles right out of the ground!?? After you eat, go across the road and check out the amazing Mammoth Spring! This place wasn't bad. The food and service was good, but not great. The view looked great, but the waitress didn't ask if we wanted to sit outside. Maybe the tables out there were full? Anyway, I really wanted breakfast, but we'd gotten there during the only time they don't serve it (Sundays 11 - 2). I ordered the Open Faced Hot Beef and hubby had the Grilled Chicken Sandwich. stopped here on the way to our MO destination to meet some friends for breakfast. We were able to choose our own table; the waitress was nice & friendly and the view is spectacular! I ordered the biscuits & gravy, they were a little firm and the gravy tasted like canned gravy. Another of our party ordered eggs over easy and crispy hash browns; the eggs were barley done and the hash browns had crossed the crispy line into the burned section. Wood River bend Mammoth Ark. nice little restaurant on the White River near the Springs. Slow service grill isn't keeping up so right now some items are t available I.e hash browns at breakfast. Nice atmosphere, nice waitress, coffee slow to come , but the river is peaceful! Serve breakfast until 11am on Sunday. Couple came in at 10:40 waitress came by and said they cancelled Breakdast not a good way to run a restaurant for sure and they could be sitting on a gold mine read more

We were pretty disappointed by the meal here. The place has a classy look and provides a great overlook of the river from the porch. This is pretty much the only reason for the two stars. We had the chicken and dumpling lunch special. It was way too salty and I'm fairly sure the dumplings were just cut up canned biscuits. We also had the shrimp meal. This ran about $15. It came with plenty of shrimp but they were the kind that you get frozen at the grocery store. Mostly breading and soaked in grease. The staff is friendly enough though it seems forced at times. Several people have already commented on the view of the spring, and it is truly stunning! For the food, Wood's had the best restaurant fried catfish and hush puppies I have ever had. The cornbread was seasoned well, and nothing was greasy. The fish was still flaky, and the hush puppies were tender with just the right amount of green onion. Even the homemade coconut creme pie was delicious. Our server also got bonus points for being incredibly friendly and attentive. A great place for a simple down-home kind of meal! read more

Stopped here after a hike at Grand Gulf State Park and sat out on the deck for lunch. I had the Philly Cheese steak which was delicious. It was filled with hearty meat with onion and peppers served on one of the freshest rolls. The fries were crispy and very tasty. My friend had the grilled chicken sandwich with grilled vegetables which she said were both delicious. There wasn't a bit of food left on either of our plates. We were meeting at this place for lunch, the halfway point for friends in Missouri and us in Arkansas. We got there early and the wait staff was gracious in knowing we were going to be there up to half an hour or 45 minutes. They never seemed annoyed by that. Looks cool on the outside and can offer good outdoor experince, however the food is almost always dry or overcooked to the point you think you are eating a fossil. Another thing is the poor service. I realize that it is usally busy but that should not warrant a rude waitress, they always shove the food and drinks on you. Half the time you order something,you have to wait 15 mins for the waiter to take service then another 25 for the actual food. Then for a good 10 mins it just sits on the window ready to be served as the waiters ignore it. This could be a great hangout but with a high price and horrible service it just doesnt work. Its a shame as its basically the only local food place to eat out in mammoth. read more

Situated on the banks of the Spring river, and just at the Arkansas/Missouri state line, this is a picturesque and quaint eatery. The parking is a bit of a challenge, but if you're handicapped, you've got lots of room, as all the spaces up by the front of the place are available to handicapped vehicles. Everything else is not marked and pretty much come as you please. Inside, there are LOTS of places to sit. There's even a sweeping porch out back that over looks the banks of the river and the local wild life (Animal & human alike) Service was fine. Mom got the special of the day, Chicken fried steak w/baked potato and a salad. And I got their New York Strip, with Salad and fries. The food was cooked well and quite tasty, The portions were large, but the salad.. *chuckles* was from a bag and pretty limp. 5 star view! Really liked this gorgeous view for a great lunch break on our drive. I'd read the reviews on the food and didn't expect much but was pleased that it was good. Nothing fantastic, but definitely fine still. My husband and I both enjoyed BBQ pork sandwiches and my 5-year-old was delighted with her French toast. Service was pleasant as well. Overall, we went for the views and it was all that we hoped for including a beautiful tree in full color still on December 1st. At 50 degrees it was too chilly to eat outside but I'd love to go back in warmer weather. Either way, we'll definitely go back if/when we are nearby again. PARENTS: this is a GREAT place for kids. There's a kids menu as well as grilled cheese and a full breakfast menu any time. Also, there's not just a diaper changed in the ladies room, but it's mounted about 6-8" higher than others. This may not seem worth mentioning, but if you're wrestling a 25 pound sack of potatoes like I've got, it's a very noticeable and welcome break for your aching back!!! Staff was even very pleasant and helpful when my baby finally achieved reaching one of our plates for the first time and flipped BBQ, fries, beans, and slaw around the floor around us in one victoriously quick swoop. We were just passing through and looking for a place to have lunch, other than fast food. This place was great! We both had the barbecue and it was delicious. I had the barbecue baked potato with spicy sauce and white rotel cheese dip. Can't go wrong there! My husband had the barbecue nachos and demolished them. Great place for a quick lunch or dinner.
