I know gross right? After she put the lashes on me, my eyes looked so tantalizing!! It felt very lightweight and each eyelash was placed nicely in a short time. You can run your fingers across the lashes without it falling off or feeling so stiff. Great high quality lashes since she told me that she doesn't buy any lashes made from china. I have to admit I'm not much of a girly girl and hardly if ever get manicures or pedicures. But for some reason my boyfriend loves it when I get my nails and feet done so I try to accomodate him. It was my first pedicure ever and I was nervous. I walked in at my appointment time and saw two women were already being helped and another woman waiting for service. "Witnesses to my embarrassing first encounter," I thought to myself as I picked out a nail polish color. I could tell it was one of those moments when the store was empty one minute and then bang!, lots of customers. What ended up happening was the older woman helped me out until another client was done with her pedicure. Then, the older woman helped the client still waiting and the younger woman finished my pedicure. Despite this switch-off, I never felt they rushed through my pedicure or did a half-focused job. I felt well taken care of due to their attentiveness and skill. While it is true I've had no other pedicure experience to compare this place with, I can tell when people are being gentle, considerate and friendly. They chatted with me, offered me magazines and made me feel comfortable. The speed and deliberate execution of the pedicure also gave me confidence they knew exactly what they were doing even if I didn't. And both women were such perfectionists! Even when I thought everything looked great, they would repeat a step until they were satisfied. I was so happy with my experience that I already can't wait until my next visit. I love nail salons that are clean and where people who do your nails don't talk smack about you behind your back. I'm vietnamese but I can often be mistaken for some other Asian race so often when I go to nail salons, they usually gossip alot and i always pretend not to understand anything JUST to see what they would say but not here. The two girls, one of which is the owner, Linda, were completely professional and friendly. The other girl did a great job with my mani and pedi. I didnt get cut or hurt so I'm happy. I stumbled across this place to get a quick claw nail design. They were so nice! Everyone in there were so helpful and inviting. Plus my request was quite difficult to replicate but in the end it turned out so nice! I got pictures to prove. Honestly, even though it's acrylic, they made it look so natural, which is why I forced myself to write a review. They definitely deserve it and for $25 hell yeah it was worth it. I did my nails for a photoshoot and my bf didn't like ONE of the nail and pulled me back in for a small unnoticeable details and I felt so ashamed going back. So let me just say that I have never actually utilized Corner Beauty's services. What business do I have reviewing this place then? After reading some great reviews on yelp, I decided to drop in during business hours. They were closed and left a note on the door apologizing for the inconvenience. I got my nails done elsewhere and came back again in 2 weeks. This was during their normal business hours and again they were closed with another note on the door. Finally in my final attempt, I called on Saturday to make an appointment for the following day on Sunday. My friend and I wanted gel manicure. The woman on the phone simply said she can't fit us in. My intial reaction to this place is that it was TINY. The salon has 2 pedicure chairs and 2 manicure stations so, if you book for more than 2 mani and pedis (which was the case when I took my mom and aunt), it took double the time for us to switch off between the chairs. Everyone who works here is really friendly. Unfortunately, I didn't get the name of the girl working on my pedicure but, she took her time and did a great job. Linda, the owner of Corner Beauty did my manicure and I have to say I was a little disappointed. She was really nice and chatted with me the entire time but, I walked away with nail polish that was not applied smoothly..it had this rippling and bubbling effect. I got my eyelash extensions done a couple of weeks ago,I really like it because it felt like my own. It looked so natural,it suppose to last 1-2 months, it depend how much you rub your eyes and it does fall off little by little like your natural lashes. My guy friends like it and are amazed by how natural they looked. The good thing about it is that you don't really need make up when you walk out of the house in the morning. Especially, if you are in a rush. The eyelash extension just brings out your eyes. =) One thing about getting a eyelash extensions at her place. you gotta make appointment because it takes about 1hr complete. After an eyebrow disaster from a previous beauty spa, I was fed up and decided to go searching for another beauty spa I could call my "go to place". After browsing through yelp, I ended up choosing Corner Beauty. I was greeted by none other than Linda, the owner. However, I knew her name before hand from the previous yelpers here. The service here is just awesome. I was very impressed. I felt like a little girl and was being taken care of. I pushed my jeans up to put my feet in the water, but the lady folded it nicely and neatly before she started. I had boots on (i was at work) and they put it in a plastic bag for me with my socks. I love getting my eyebrows done here! They've changed location, but its the same plaza just a couple doors down from their original place. their quality for eyebrows is phenomenal. i used to always have to plan 30 minutes for the swelling to go down because of my sensitive skin but here, the wax they use doesnt even irritate my skin that much! It just turns red for a couple of minutes but no swelling&& no itching! Ive also tried their eyelash extensions here. Linda is really nice and talks to you like a friend. i went there for Brazilian wax that costed me $50, $10 more than usual....although the lady was very nice and friendly (and was very thorough too!). Unfortunately she's a little too slow, and it always take about more than 30 mins for the job to be done. It's only Day 12 of the second trial, but it should be said... you done good Linda, you done good. Relinquishing prior concession. Honesty is a must here and Linda was a true sport. So I ended up giving her a second try afterall - she used a much more natural length this time, spent ~1.5 hours applying the lashes, and finished with a smile and a hope for redemption. Not a penny charged. The set looks very natural, didn't tangle into a mess, is very uniform and weightless on the lids. I don't think she's into the whole dramatic/thick-lash look, but she is good at what she does. The style still adds a twinkle to the eyes and I'm guessing will last longer than thick lashes too. This was my first time here-heck its my first time getting my eyebrows waxed anywhere! I lucked out and got here while there was no wait at all. Linda took care of me and she was very friendly and talkative. She made me feel very comfortable being someone that had never done anything like this before. She recommended waxing over threading as it was less painful and by her preference a nicer outcome. I tried this place after reading the great reviews on Yelp. I was definitely not impressed...a little disappointed since Yelp never really failed me before...:*( When I went in, Linda, an older lady, and her teen daughter were watching DVDs. Linda went to sit at her table and the older lady started to work on my nails with her daughter. She didn't speak any English but it was clear that she was coaching the daughter. I felt like I was a practice dummy the whole time. I got there spa mani + pedi. Their spa is just a plastic bowl with warm water. No jet, no bath salt, just plain warm water. Some people might like that but not me... When it was time for the massage, the lady showed how to do it and the daughter mimicked her afterwards. When it was time to paint my nails, the daughter was told to sit back and watch. That's when Linda finally came and started doing my manicure while the older lady did my pedi. Linda NEVER spoke to me...the older lady COULDN'T speak to me. I heard Linda speak to another customer who seemed to be a regular while I was there. I understand that she needed to take care of her regulars but just because I'm a new customer doesn't mean that I can be totally ignored....no? Both my mani and pedi were ok but not the best I've had...not even close. they used a bright pink polish which was very unnatural. * Location = pretty good. I got my eye lashes extension here! The first time was by Kelly, but it was about a year ago! This time it was just done by Linda, but everyone said that my last year's "first time" eye lashes extension was very very natural and very beautiful like my own real lashes and it lasted for almost 3months!!! I referred many people here! However, this time (my second time) they looks so unreal (very fake) and they started coming off on day1!!! Even my husband and co-workers asked me to see if I can have it fix or remove!!! Very Sad! I can feel that Linda was doing it very fast/rush compared to Kelly and she needs to answer the phones while she is working on me. Compare to Linda, Kelly really takes her time on my lashes! The one was done with Kelly I can see the lashes are one to one ratio for sure when they are coming off with the real lash! I'm not the most girly of girls. Meaning that I'm very busy-and don't always make the time to get pretty. I need to look nice and professional but because of the type of work I do, I need it to look natural. The first time I was so antsy I couldn't stay still on the bed. Now I fall asleep and probably snore. I've had a lot of people compliment me on it, it looks longer without being awkwardly weird. I have sent my mom over and she loves Linda over her old place. I have to also say I usually get pedicures with Lihn at the same time while doing lashes. She is the bomb, I am super ticklish and have come close to kicking her many times but she remembers and takes it easy on the scrubs. However, yesterday was the first time I did a manicure as my cuticles were looking yuck and I honestly couldn't find my nail clippers. Lihn buffed them out and they are so shiny. I won't be embarrassed working on my patients. Overall- you won't go wrong. If you have never had lashes done, Linda is the person to go to. She knows what she is doing and takes care of any issues you have with them. Reasonably priced considering the time it takes them. First time here. Probably not my last, but I've had better pedicures. Came in around 3:15PM and left at 3:50PM on a Saturday. The quickest pedicure I've ever experienced, and it was a GEL PEDI. I was so shocked and worried about the speed this lady was going that I had to read previous reviews to see if this is typical, as I was getting it done. Only 2 ladies working and I was the only one in the shop, yet she still worked as if the place was on fire. To judge the results at that speed, it really wasn't as bad as you'd expect. I would pass it with a C+ to B grading. She was definitely not detailed at that speed, but my toes don't look like a disaster at first glance. You'd really have to look closely to see that the painting is not consistent and the cuticles could have been treated better. She also slapped on so so much oil and lotion that i was slipping and sliding in my sandals as I walked home. I had to wash my feet when I got home i was so oily. It was expensive for those results, but for being someone who is always on the move, I would consider stopping by again if I'm in a hurry. read more

Review is purely based on their waxing services. I desperately needed a wax and couldn't make it to the spot I usually go to and decided to give this salon nearby a shot and was greatly disappointed. The ladies were nice and friendly but the services they provided were absolutely horrendous. Completely unsanitary. Tina had done my wax and I emphasized not to double dip. The lady next her seemed like she was in charge of the salon assured me, "We don't do that here, we have plenty of sticks." I witnessed her do it and I thought she might have done it by accident but it caused me to pay more attention and realized she was consistently double dipping. I regretfully did not stop her because I hate confrontation. Not only that but she did not wear any gloves and I did not see her wash her hands prior to waxing me. To make matters worse, her phone had starting ringing in the middle of the wax and she continued to answer it which is not only unprofessional but completely unsanitary. Even IF she washed her hands before the wax, she did not so after touching her phone which is riddled with germs. Lastly, the wax itself was just horrible. It has only been four days and hair is already peeking through and I have two irritation bumps which is quite bothersome because thats one of the reasons why I skip shaving in the first place. If you come please make appointments, don't do walk-ins. I came for lash extensions and I didn't make an appointment bc I had a event to go to the next morning. I came it and got a random older viet lady, she told me to wash my eyes and lay down. I told her it was my first time and that I wanted them long. So she began and I noticed she only used one tweezers and her hand, at this point I kinda knew it was gonna be bad already, she kept pulling my lashes and telling me they were too tiny and oily that she had a hard time. Ten mins in, she took the initiative and told me she just gonna do classic short bc it was too hard to do long cateye. 45 mins later she finishes and I look in the mirror n they look like whispy spider legs. I could see she didn't do a lot on the front of my eye so I asked if she could add hairs to the front of my lashes and she says "no,no..your hair to tiny, it's hard to do" .....i was so upset at this point I just wanted to leave and remove them at home. She legit just stuck one fake lash to 4 of my actual lashes and called it a day. I couldn't remove them so now I'm stuck with spider legs on my eyes. Overall upset w this place. There's only two young ladies there who were doing nice lashes, so I believe making a appointment is your best bet. read more

I guess you get what you pay for... My lashes cost me $40 but I was really worried for my eyes. I came here to get my lashes refill and I think Tina or Gina rather helped me. First off, she had onion breath and since she was breathing on my the whole time, it was more than uncomfortable. Then she proceeded on to work on my lashes without ever asking me what I wanted. When she was working on my lashes, she hurt me a few times trying to undo her own work because she probably realized she did a bad job putting some of the lashes on so she had to take them off. At one point, I was really afraid for my eyes and thoughts like this was running thru my head: "man, is she trained to do this???!!! Why did the person who took my appointment think that she's actually qualify to do this??? I should check to make sure she's licensed after I'm done." After 1 hour and a half, she managed to finish and at this point I was more than happy to pay her $40 just so I can leave and never use her service again. read more
