First time ever eating at Corner Bakery. Stopped in for lunch with a friend. Clean and not crowed so we were able to order almost immediately. Food was brought to the table with little wait time. Had the 1/2 sandwich 1/2 soup combination and since it was a colder day, tried their tomato Italian soup and grilled cheese sandwich. Tomato soup is broth based; ok but not really to my liking. Flavor on the mild to bland side. But the grilled cheese with tomato was fabulous! Perfectly toasted grain bread with melted cheesy goodness - delicious. With tip, meal cost was just over $16 which seemed a bit steep but in keeping with most places currently. read more

I vaguely remembered Corner Bakery being an okayish place to go, the other times and locations I visited and lately, I've had a hankerin' to find a good bakery. So, during my wandering travels one day, I decided to pit stop here and hope for the best with the soda fountain, figuring I could go with a nice solid sandwich at least. When I got in, though, I found a couple things of more immediate interest, one of which was a Berry Salad. It looked good enough to eat, so I ordered that and then got a side of their Calabrian chile spread to go with it, as I didn't remember that from last time, either. This visit was definitely a lot more impressive than the times before and I think one of the things the pandy kind of did was to reset stuff, in that I have no idea what to expect after basically a 3 year layoff. Fast food has gotten worse, but that has never been the positioning of this particular chain, this is definitely not a pop-and-go, and I found their quality to be very nicely quite a lot better than I remembered, though neither of the menu items I got existed on my last visit to one of these, which I don't now recall the date of. Anyway, the salad, though a touch pricey, was excellent and happily larger than expected. I really enjoyed the chile spread and now need to go back and try that on a sandwich. as I anticipate it being warmed up will add quite a tasty new dimension and dynamic to it. My favorite thing about our whole experience is the young man who took our order and brought our food. He had great manners, was friendly, and got our order right. Hubby had the Prime Rib Provolone sandwich. He enjoyed it very much. I had the Harvest Salad, which was very good, except for a clump of lettuce in the bottom of the bowl that was funky looking; it actually looked like it had been frozen or something. This place of business does not make you feel welcomed! They don't engage with people of color. My friend and I went there for breakfast, no hello, no customer service, no nothing. We bought 3 of their panini's, an order of pancakes & a side of bacon. Our pancakes were doughy, our panini's were great but super oily. My friend also left his wallet there & within 10 mins after we left, we went back to get the wallet. $120 was missing from the wallet and when he was voicing his concerns, they disregarded his feelings & told him "here's your wallet but I don't know what you want us to do about the cash because it's gone!" Then the manager just walked away. They should learn the true meaning of customer service &!show that they care about the people spending money on their expensive food! read more

I had pretty high expectations for this place after hearing from friends and family. We found a buy one get one free coupon and I decided I'd finally try it. I ordered the linguine and meatballs and the pesto chicken. The orders took a bit longer than expected to come out but perhaps they were just short staffed. As far as the food, I took a bite of the garlic bread and tasted no flavor. The two bowls were a pretty good size considering the price; and although there were only two meatballs in the linguine,it seemed sufficient due to the size. The linguini had a very light tasting marinara but the sauce seemed very watery to me. The pesto chicken had lots of pasta but it seemed that it was lacking a bit of chicken. The pesto sauce was also so light that it seemed that the dish was almost lacking in flavor. Overall, the food is affordable but I wouldn't have wanted to pay full price for the taste. One of the things I like about corner bakery cafe is that I don't feel like I've eaten a pot of grease after eating here. The food I've had is fresh and sits well. And most of it seems pretty on point. Service has always been great each time I've been. My very first visit, I ordered fresh fruit and mentioned something about not liking cantaloupe but that I would get it anyway. When they brought it out, the person had made sure there was no cantaloupe in there. That's service! Atmosphere is also nice and clean. Once again, you don't feel like you're sitting in grease. First time and I had the Chicken Pomodori with mixed greens salad and a maple and walnut bar. I thoroughly enjoyed the sandwich! Very very good. The salad was ok, but it was too wet. It had this vinigerete glaze on it for the dressing and I liked the taste but it was overkill. The maple walnut bar was ok but it was a little pricey for one bar so i wouldn't buy it again. I'm not familiar with the chain and somehow expected a Village Inn type of place. It's not. However, it fits a real niche. It's a big step up from most sandwich places. The food is quite good. The place is customized to have some local flavor. Having real plates and bussed tables make this a step up too. I really like an option for casual dining with pretty good food options and not eating off a paper plate. It's worth giving a couple buck tip to the person who cleans up. Trying to be very patient with all businesses during this pandemic, but ordering curbside from CBC today was a nightmare. I ordered/paid on their website and was given a receipt that my order would be ready at 9:55am. We parked in the spot on time and called to let them know we were there. We were out on hold for 5 minutes, so I hung up and called back. When they answered, they said they were out of the side we paid extra for - potatoes - and offered to sub fruit. We declined the fruit, but they couldn't refund us, so they offered bacon. We accepted because we just wanted to get going. They asked us to give them 5 more minutes and they would bring the food out. 15 more minutes went by and I put my mask on and went inside to find my food. We have been trying very hard to stay curbside to avoid going in, but this was crazy! They gave me our bag and I left, back to my car. We checked the bag in the car and realized that they had not included the sides of bacon (subbed for potatoes). I had to go back inside and wait in line again to ask for this, which they had to package up because, for some reason, no one had done that when they offered it as a substitution 20 minutes prior. The woman who asked the chefs for the side of bacon never came back to the counter to check, so after it sat there in the window for almost 5 minutes, I had to get another employee's attention to get it off the line. Our order was supposed to be ready at our car at 9:55. We finally pulled out of the parking lot at 10:30. All this for two breakfast sandwiches! If I hadn't already paid on the website, I would've left and gone somewhere else. I'm giving this review 2 stars instead of 1 because the people working were polite, but we won't be going back here again. The sandwiches were fine, but nothing spectacular and certainly not worth waiting a total of 50 minutes for. read more

It wasn't bad, but I know I can make it better at home... the biggest complaint is the food was warm at best, both the sandwich and the bowl needed to be cooked longer. The cheese wasn't melted and the eggs tasted like it was sitting on a warmer. The toast was not buttered, which if fine if they had butter to top them with. Again it wouldn't have mattered because the butter wouldn't have melted because it was cold. Having brunch on Sunday is great because there's not a lot of places in Utah County that offer that today, but they need some work improving the quality of the food put out. read more

When I walked into the restaurant I was happy to only see one family in front of me thinking that I would be in and out in no time. Unfortunately, I was wrong. The family took about 15 minutes to order their food (not the restaurants fault) but while they were taking forever to order there were other staff members standing around and none of them helped me. When it was finally my turn to order the girl at the register was not very warm and welcoming. I ordered a panini and a salad to go and sat down to wait. I waited another 15 minutes for the food which seemed a little long since they were not very busy. Overall the food was pretty average. If I want to deal with poor customer service for a sandwich, I think I'll stick to Zupas. read more

The crew is usually on point here but today I was in and a lady came up and said her coffee was cold instead of making her a new coffee they zapped it 15 seconds in microwave she still didn't like it and wished for a new coffee but they just zapped it in the microwave again..... First experience here and well likely my last. Positives- Quick and easy ordering, pleasant staff and clean drink/condiment area. Negatives-overpriced for the portions, slow to be served and blah tasting food. My food (pesto pasta) tasted like it had been made from a frozen bag and my garlic bread had been re-toasted. When we were there I'm almost positive there was TWO employees in the entire place. (One at the register and the other cooking) Seating ourselves was an adventure of sorts. The teas came out within 10 min and I'm currently rethinking my entire life with the amount of time I've been waiting for the rest of my to-go order. I get that it's the pandemic and busy. I get that they're low staff. But honestly, if they're taking at least 40 min to produce a wrap and a scrambler plate, I would suggest just keeping it at takeout and not offer dine-in (they were offering that too). The staff was apologetic and gave us a $5 coupon without asking. But man... Update: just got the order. About 45 min. Hope it's good. I went here for a late lunch. It was great! Not crowded at all. The atmosphere is great, and the workers were super polite. Quite a few of the tables hadn't been cleared off, but I had no trouble finding a place to sit. I loved the quiet atmosphere, it was great to relax. I liked the food a lot too- I had the tomato soup and a panini. Both were good, very hearty and filling. My favorite was the panini- delicious! A little pricey, but worth it for the quality.
