I absolutely love the freshly roasted corn @ Six Flags. A nice variety of seasonings are available.

Absolutely worth it while taking a break around Magic Mountain. Wish I could just drive by and get one.

This was one of the food vendors we tried while we were at the Dublin St. Patrick's Day Festival…read more Located in Santa Clarita, this couple specializes in Welsh baked goods, which are sold at festivals and on their website. Unlike other food vendors, they had a dedicated tent with tables and chairs for customers. Our order: The "Full Monty" ($20.00): Sweet Plate + Savory Plate *Celtic Plate: 2 Welsh Scones, clotted cream, and lemon curd +Crumbly and soft, these were some of the best scones I've eaten! Very delicate as it cracked when I picked it up. +Full of currants, which are the traditional flavor. +Imported from the UK, the clotted cream was creamy and slightly tart: It reminded me of a lighter sour cream. +Imported from the UK, the lemon curd was tangy and not too sweet. *Savory Plate: Scotch Egg with Branston Relish +Imported from the UK, the Branston Relish was delicious! Flavor wise, it tasted like BBQ sauce mixed with sweet relish. +Not too salty -I've always wanted to try a Scotch Egg, so when I saw this, I knew I had to order it. Unfortunately, it was a disappointment b/c it was premade and not freshly fried. The outside was soft and not crunchy. -Sausage was kinda mushy and not very flavorful. Welsh Ploughman's ($9.00): 4 Savory Welsh Cakes, Branston Relish, cheddar, and grapes +We originally wanted the Tomato Bacon flavor, but they were out so Cheese Onion it was. These were quite tasty as they were both savory and sweet. +Imported from the UK, the Branston Relish was delicious! Flavor wise, it tasted like BBQ sauce mixed with sweet relish. +Grapes were an unexpected surprise since they weren't mentioned on the menu. They were sweet and juicy. -Cheese was prepackaged and it looked like Colby-Jack instead of cheddar. *Verdict: Except for the Scotch Egg, everything else was delicious. Service was friendly. I had some questions about the menu, and the co-owner helping me was patient. I could tell the wife-husband duo was passionate about their craft and I liked how they had signs on their tables describing the Celtic Tea Experience.

The welsh cakes are always delicious and the scotch eggs are amazing. Wonderful staff.read more

El Grullense - The taco truck

Due to popular demand, ANOTHER TACO TRUCK!!! Last week, I went to a taco truck named, "Tacos Al…read moreVapor", now I went to a place called, "El Grullense". I am not sure what it means. I searched online and it means Grullense or a person from El Grullo, Jalisco. This time the taco truck is a bit farther from the Ralph's store and just across the Pilot Travel Center/Gas Station. The taco truck parked right in front of two houses and it was a weird spot for the houses to be. Its like Barstow Stop at Lenwood Road to see a house in the middle of nowhere. Oh man, there was a lot of trucks coming and going. I see a lot of truck drivers coming by getting some nice tacos or burritos. I ordered my favorite, Al Pastor Burrito. I believe the price is either $4.15 or $4.25. Also, I ordered a bottle of Mexican Coca-Cola. My total was $5.50. $1 cheap than Tacos Al Vapor, plus they gave me radishes and lemon. Great value!! However, I think I saved the $1 because I got a 355ml Coca-Cola versus the 500ml Pepsi-Cola from Tacos Al Vapor, but they do sell the 500ml...I am just collecting the glass bottles of different kinds. I brought my food back to work and...DAMN, the Al Pastor Burrito was FREAKIN HOT!!. I keep forgetting to tell them...NO CHILE...lol. I looked at my Coca-Cola...and I forgot that it has to be opened with a bottle opener. Good thing that I have a bottle opener in my car...I tried it..and it doesn't fit..AGH!!! Its burning my mouth!!! I had to bend a piece of the metal cap and SUCCESS!!! Damn it was hot. Good thing someone from my work brought tortilla chips so I can soften the heat from my mouth. I was surprised that they put something special in my burrito....PINEAPPLE. It was more delicious than I thought. With the tortilla chips, it was like 3 different meals at once. You can eat the burrito whole, eat it with chips. then eat the tortilla. I asked the guy how long the truck has been there and he said that his truck has been here [Castaic] for awhile. So, I am not sure how long in years, but I am glad the truck is here. The guy is very nice and welcome me to the area. I saw another taco truck down the road. I might try that later. I am getting full for the past few days driving out and eating out. I think I am taking a hiatus tomorrow. I am starting to think I drive a truck every time I am here. Too many truckers..and one little car...EEEEK!!!! Have Fun here and Keep Yelping!!
