Fashion at its finest level. This is the best haircut my son ever had. The whole place just Clean and comfortable. They have a Large castle and play area at wait area. Yes, A Castle for your kids to play. But the most important thing is that the hairdresser is willing to work with my son and pay attention to detail. We felt comfortable and happy to be here. That is very important for us. read more

Edited: We came back a little later and the stylist had had 2 call outs and she had to come from volunteering in her child's classroom. Had 4 great haircuts. My kids love the themed stations and play area while waiting. They always ask when they can come back for their next haircut! Thank you for a great experience. I typically really like this place! We have been coming here since we moved to Fresno 3 years ago. However, today we showed up a little before 10 am which is opening time, no one was there. I waited until 10:20 with my 4 kids and saw several other moms with their kids come and go since they weren't open. Super bummed because my kids were really looking forward to haircuts and they lost business for my 4 kids plus at least 3 others that left. I understand that things happen sometimes, but promptness is important for running a business. read more

My son had his first hair cut here. The staff was very helpful in calming him down and making him look good. Thank you guys.

We went on a Monday with my autistic son... I was super nervous since this was his first hair cut at a salon and even with him moving around a lot our hair stylist was super accommodating and she got the cut done fast. He wasn't happy after but we are definitely going back next time! We want him to get used it! Wished we caught the stylists name before we left! She said she was the senior stylist. We had the appointment on the 21st at around 11am read more

Thank you thank you! We had an appointment at another place but without notice it closed. Praying that if we showed up as soon as Corky's opened we could get my 2 boys in as a walk-in. We live in Lemoore and there are no kids salons in Kings County so it is a drive to find a place. Before getting my boys out of the car my husband goes in to ask and they were able to get us in right away! Thank you everyone at the salon for being so caring and understanding about our situation. Maria you did a fabulous job on my 2 boys haircuts. We will definitely be back! read more

We had a great experience with Tania during our son's 2nd haircut. He's 16 months and very busy, so stopping for a cut isn't something he wants to do. He was so pitiful, screaming and crying - but this fabulous stylist was calm, sweet and encouraging. We will definitely be back and will ask for her! On top of it all, he looked great when she was done and our kiddo was very excited about his balloon. read more

My husband & I just moved up to the area a couple weeks ago and 2 of our boys were in desperate need of a haircut. I called this place because of the reviews and they were able to get us in the same day within 2hrs of calling. Our stylist was Tania and she was so amazing that I am now a guaranteed regular customer and will be requesting her every time. My 10 year old has special needs and sometimes haircuts can be quite challenging for him but she was so patient and understanding and made the whole experience completely painless. She had both my sons in and out of the chair within 20mins and did a better job than anyone else ever has cutting their hair. The shop is clean and organized. All the staff seemed friendly and welcoming. On our way out, my boys were given balloons, suckers & stickers. Overall a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back. read more

Horrible haircut he looks like he's on dumb and dumber and the haircut took 3 minutes and the service was awful had to take him elsewhere to get it fixed I've given this place multiple tries and each stylist let me down i don't know if they change the blades on the clippers. The stylist only used the one guard and didn't know if it was open or closed. No thank you read more

It was our first time coming to this salon and it was an amazing experience. Tania who did my son's haircut was very professional and fast. She made sure my son was comfortable and gave him stylish haircut in spite of his moving. She also gave him lollipops and a balloon. We surely will be coming back to this place. read more

We had a wonderful experience taking our daughter for her first haircut. Fast and clean experience. Will definitely come back again!

Mariah cut my son's hair today and was so great with him (and me)! It was his first cut and she talked him through it and let him feel the machine so he wouldn't be scared when she turned it on. She took her time and made sure we were happy with the cut and we were. It was a great experience! read more

I gave this place another chance and regretted it. Over a year ago, my son had his very first haircut here. The stylist was patient yet quick, made him feel comfortable, and did a skilled job. That stylist left, and I haven't had a good experience since. Yesterday, however, was terrible, and I will never be going back. The lady was grabbing my 2 year olds neck hard enough to leave a mark, was rough, didn't do even close to what I asked for, and did a poor job technically. I came to a place that caters to squirmy toddlers, and it seems this woman has never worked with toddlers before. My son didn't cry and was the normal amount of curious about the clippers. The only time he tried to pull away was after she scratched his neck with the clippers. She just said you're okay and grabbed his neck to continue. Not only that, but it was incredibly patchy on the sides and longer on one side than the other. I asked for a 5 with a little tapering on the hairline and a scissor cut trim shaped like a mohawk/fohawk, not short. My sons hair started maybe 3- 4 inches only needed no more than an inch as he already had the angled shape from his last haircut. She cut the top half wet and half dry cut. I had to ask her to wet the rest of his hair because she was making blunt cuts in the front. She cut his hair straight across in the front so short close to his hairline and over half an inch shorter in the front half (dry half) than the back of the top. Leaving maybe an inch in the front, half inch at his hairline and 1.5-2 at the dome of his head. It has never been so short. Of course, the front was last. I can't even blame my son because he was even sitting still when she was cutting with the scissors. I told her I didn't want it that short and straight across. She says oh you wanted it angled, and tried to argue about it being long still... in the back. The only way it could be fixed was to make it even shorter, and his hair has never been this short already. She asked if there was anything else she could do, and I said I'll have to wait for it to grow to fix it. Experienced stylists know it's better to leave it a little too long than too short because you can't put it back once it's cut. On top of all of this, she was the only staff not wearing a mask and the only one consistantly coughing. She said she wasn't sick that it was just asthma, but if you're coughing, at least cover your mouth instead of coughing on peoples kids! Im the kind of person who will leave a 30% tip when they just do a basic job knowing a toddlers haircut will never be perfect. I left knowing I'd have to cut his hair myself to fix it the best I could, and I couldn't do anything to fix how unproportionally short it was in the front. I did not leave a tip, and I'm upset I paid anything. She didn't even blow or dust his hair fallout off of him. I sobbed at how bad my sons haircut was and what he had just gone through. He was so patient and as cooperative as a 2 year old can be when being handled the way he was. When I got home, I had to take over half an inch off the top back part of his head and the side to even it out, and texture the hell out of it to repair the shape and harsh cut lines. I have been cutting hair unprofessionally for 15 years, so I know this wasn't just not following instructions but poor technical skill execution and lack of experience or care with young children. I feel absolutely terrible for my son having to go through this. read more

Unique, toddler friendly and good staff. I took my daughter to get her first haircut at ten months and I thought it would be a hassle with a stressed out stylist and a tearful, crying baby... but I was wrong. The place was very kid friendly and had a very colorful, clean setting. My daughter loves Frozen and by random without even telling the stylist anything she put on the movie Frozen and she was stuck watching it. Overall it was a trim and must of taken 10-12 minutes, my daughter must of cried just for one minute just because she is very, "touchy" with anybody messing with her hair, head or face. I will go again as soon as she grows more hair and to anybody is nice to my kid I will reward with a good rating a $5.00 tip ( I know, I must be cheap). read more

Decided to give this place another try. The first few times I got the same stylist my sons haircuts were okay the customer service wasn't bad, I felt the stylist could have been more friendly especially working with children. The appearance speaks for itself it's definitely a place a kid would want to get a hair cut. With that being said I came in today not expecting much and was greeted by Anjanette. She is super friendly and all smiles; my son was eager to get his haircut. Her Attitude was great, she was gentle and comforting as my son wiggled here and there. She was able to talk to him and keep him calm. The haircut came out great, It exceeded my expectations! I would definitely recommend Anjanette to anyone! read more

The staff are very friendly and welcoming. They have a little play area for the kiddos while they wait their turn or heck, they can play after the haircut as well. They always have a lollipop and balloons to give out to the customers or even children walking by the store. The price is fairly expensive. $20. They do offer discounts and promotions, download the app to stay updated. Each little client gets to select a kid-friendly seat like an airplane, fire truck, etc. They have individual TVs for the little ones to watch Netflix. So our little ones are never bored during their haircut. read more

I called to get my daughter her first haircut. I explained that she was terrified and we would need someone kind and patient as she was scared. We paid extra for the first haircut package and boy were we sadly disappointed. The woman who cut my daughters hair was impatient and rude. She was a tall thin blonde woman who shouldn't be working with kids if she gets this annoyed. My daughter was of course crying as I anticipated and instead of being patient and comforting she was frustrated and kept telling my daughter to stop crying that she was fine. She would sigh and stand back and wait while my daughter cried and say you're fine I can't cut your hair if your crying. And not in a sweet manner. Needless to say my daughter is now even more terrified to get her haircut. Update: In response to the owners comment, my daughter had her haircut the beginning of March. So sad that you seem to try to find fault/blame in the reviews left by unhappy customers instead of trying to fix the problems. Your comment of "why I didn't leave a comment sooner if I was unhappy" may be exactly the problem. Unfortunately I would never return to your business given your lack of concern for your customers. Next time maybe focus on making your customers happy and set an example of how customers should be treated because it's obvious your employees lack of professionalism may be a result of the example you have set. read more

Perfect for first timers. My son forgot to be scared it was such a fun experience for him. Definitely going back

Writing another review First time I came was great my daughter had fun that's all that matters but I was a little upset and unsatisfied over the fact that Tania forgot we had asked for the "first cut package" and didn't collect nor take any pictures of my daughter til the very end after I said something. I literally got ONE little strand of hair almost nothing.. and now I've been trying to book another appointment for my daughter but it is impossible to reach them. I've called the salon multiple times no answers I've messaged them on Instagram again no one answers they just view my messages. That is very unprofessional and rude. I'm never going there again. read more

Wonderful experience. The nice blonde lady helped us out. She had her grandson there that day and was having him help sanitize the toys in the waiting area. Our stylist handled my son very well although he was kicking and screaming. It was his first haircut and although we did not get the first haircut package, she gave us a little bag to take home a lock of his hair along with a DNA kit. They have two boy's station and two girls. They also have movies playing so the child can be distracted while getting their hair cut. Afterwards, they will give you a token and your child can ride in the moving car. Great experience! We will return once we come back to Fresno as we are from out of town! read more

Brandy cut my sons hair today for the first time! I cannot say enough nice things about this place. My son loved the car and the TV show. They were willing to put whatever he wanted on TV. My son hates strangers but felt very comfortable here which should say something. After his haircut we got a token for the police car to ride and he was thrilled! She even gave us his little Curl at the nape of his neck that was cut off because we loved that hair so much. 10/10 will be returning here for his future cuts!! read more

Great hair cut for my son. The walk in wait time was not long even though they were busy with many appointments and other walk ins.

Corky's was an awesome experience for our son's first haircut. Brandy was excellent with our little one and his haircut was better that we could have asked for. I cannot say enough good things about this place. I am a nanny for a 4-year old autistic boy. According to his Mom, he had not had a professional haircut for 2 years. I searched haircuts for autistic children and Google populated a few results. This business immediately captured my interest because of the reviews from families with autistic children. I called and Mariah answered the phone, yet said she would not be working that day. However, I really needed to get him in so I decided to make an appointment. When we arrived, we were delighted to learn that Mariah was there and she was willing to help. Within thirty minutes we had a new little boy and he loved every part of it. It was a beautiful experience, watching Mariah walk him through every part of the process and waiting to get his approval before she moved forward. I highly recommend this place. Thank you Corky's Cuts 4 Kids staff and Mariah. We are very grateful and we will be in again. Thank you, Enzo's Nanny read more
