First - the area that Corks on the Vine is in, is beyond adorable. We got a bottle of Portuguese white wine, that was only $14! We added a three cheese plate. The cashier explained that there is a $10 per cheese charge. While that sounds pricey, I wasn't expecting the totally gorgeous, substantial charcuterie board that we received. It was well worth the $30 cost. This is a great time place and I will be back!!! read more

My husband chose Corks on the Vine for his 83rd birthday lunch so we drove there from Hilton Head Island. We enjoyed a delicious lunch at one of the sidewalk tables with a great bottle of South African wine. My husband chose Camembert, blue cheese and French bread and I chose the sandwich of the day - turkey, Brie and pesto on French bread. My mother and I had a great lunch at Bistro 10 and loved the area. Unfortunately, when we went into Cork on the Vine we were immediately treated like an inconvenience by the OWNER (the rest of the staff was great). We had intentions of buying charcuterie boards for a large party but her short, rude and very condescending attitude was so off putting that we chose to bring our business elsewhere. This was on the top of our list to visit when we came into town since we love wine and charcuterie. HOWEVER, as soon as we walked in, on a Saturday evening no less, not one person of the two seemed to care we were there. The older employee didn't even acknowledge us and the younger one only said "excuse me" when I was looking at the cheeses. We were very let down and stayed for an uncomfortable amount of time trying to figure out what to do. But as soon as we left they cheered up and wished us a good day. read more

We have driven by the shop numerous times, mostly when it wasn't opened so we couldn't visit. That's OK because good friends arrived to dinner with a wonderful hostess gift. A charcuterie package from corks complete with wine and French bread. The ingredients were amazing - prosciutto, Brie, jumbo purple and green grapes, Marcona almonds, cornichons, tiny red pickled peppers, salami, another cured dried sausage, star fruit, and a hard and semi hard cheese. The combination of flavors and textures were amazing, sweet, salty, crunchy, creamy and perfectly dreamy. We couldn't stop returning to the platter again and again. Every bite was a different experience as we paired the ingredients in a multitude of combinations. We will definitely become regular customers. Beaufort needs more specialty food purveyors. There are many residents here that appreciate and desire top quality sourced products regardless if they are local, national or international. Corks on the Vine is a delightful and refreshing specialty shop in the Market Place of Habersham. They offer a variety of imported cheeses, craft beers and a large selection of chilled wine. A charcuterie board paired with a bottle of wine is a favorite of all the locals ( including myself). The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and readily offer cheese/wine suggestions.
