My husband celebrating his 83rd birthday at Corks on the Vine!

My husband chose Corks on the Vine for his 83rd birthday lunch so we drove there from Hilton Head Island. We enjoyed a delicious lunch at one of the sidewalk tables with a great bottle of South African wine. My husband chose Camembert, blue cheese and French bread and I chose the sandwich of the day - turkey, Brie and pesto on French bread. We both thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and would highly recommend Corks on the Vine for a special, fresh lunch!

    Turkey sandwich

Stopped here on Day 2 of Pledge the Pink event. Sandwich of turkey, cheese, greens with fig sauce on specialty bread was so delicious. Nice selection of wines and cheeses. Reasonable prices for spirits. No room to eat inside but on a nice day lots of places outside.

What a delicious and beautifully arranged assortment of cheeses, meats and fruits. My guests loved it!

We went for Mother's Day this past Sunday and had one of those meals where every course just works. From the start, the experience felt thoughtful--each of the women in our group was welcomed with a complimentary cocktail and a beautiful rose, which was such an easy but elegant way to make the day feel special without overdoing it. The prix fixe menu made ordering harder than expected (never a bad problem to have). We ended up sampling a few different first courses across the table: The bruschetta was crisp and fresh with great balance The fritto was generous and perfectly executed The beef carpaccio--a long-time favorite--was just as good as we remembered and a welcome return to the menu For the second course, Miramare really leaned into what they do best: elevated comfort food. A few of us went with Luca's Chicken Prosciutto Lasagna, which is one of those dishes you order with confidence if you've had it before. It's rich, layered, and finished with that signature marsala-style sauce that makes it feel just a step above your standard Italian classic. The gnocchi with wild boar ragu was a pleasant surprise--light (somehow), but still deeply flavorful, with a parmesan foam that kept it from feeling too heavy. And the lobster croissant was easily one of the most indulgent dishes on the table--stacked with lobster to the point where we couldn't finish it, which says a lot. By the time dessert came around, we were all at capacity--but skipping it wasn't really an option. The tiramisu and chocolate mousse were both solid, but the ricotta cheesecake was the standout: light, fresh, and just sweet enough without being overwhelming. It was the unanimous favorite at the table. Overall, Miramare delivered exactly what you hope for in a special occasion --great food, thoughtful details, and a polished but still comfortable atmosphere and well done across the board! We'll absolutely be back for general dinner service AND the next celebratory or themed meal --this is the kind of experience that's worth repeating.

We had to repeatedly ask for water and drink refills like it was a special request. Pepper and shaved parmesan? Multiple asks... and each time we were met with passive-aggressive energy for daring to want basic table staples. Long waits, lukewarm service, and subpar food. We left sad, disappointed and will not be back. Only positive was the front of the house. Great gentleman and tried his very best!

My brother from Florida was standing in. My Marine had begged for ribs on Family Day and it was my job to make that happen! No BBQ restaurants or Grocery Stores were open at the time of morning my brother had to be on the island. I found ToGo Dish and was impressed by how many choices I had. When I called to order from ToGo Dish, I had specific requests to make my Marine happy including to enclose a note from us congratulating her :) I asked "Krista" how she manages with that many people, to ensure the food would be in good shape? We knew we were ordering ribs from Big Joe's but Krista steered us away from other food that wouldn't be at their best. Krista explained that she texts the contact person (brother) on island 15 minutes before arrival to update when she will be there for pick-up. Using this method the Ribs were as fresh as having been served to your table and the report was they were delicious! Here's where it goes from a 10 experience to off the charts - shortly after my brother picked up the food, Krista TEXTED me a PICTURE of my brother and my Marine!!!! I could not believe it! I really felt part of the celebration from this simple act of kindness! Fast Forward a week. A package from ToGo Dish is in my mailbox, a little too big to be the receipt. Krista sent me a beautiful card and enclosed "The Beaufort Gazette" from the day of Graduation with the list of graduating Marines! As I write this I am tearing up and cannot put into words what a treasure Krista at ToGo Dish is. I guarantee someone who puts this much thought into another human being will make sure everything from ToGo Dish will be provided at the best she can possibly do! And I am so, so grateful!

THIS IS MY FOOD WONDERLAND…read more My first time coming across a concept like this where there's ready-made food, cafe, pantry goods, catering options, and more. This is the second time I've been to The Kitchen and I don't even live in South Carolina. I bought around $200 worth of delicious pulled pork baked potatoes, toad pizza, pasta sauce, lasagna, oatmeal crème cookie, peanut butter pie, chicken spaghetti squash, wraps, salads, sides, meatloaf, and more! This is the perfect solution to not wanting to cook but still getting a delicious hot meal ready for the whole family. They have everything in their fridges and freezers, the only issue is trying to keep it all in-stock all the time because the food is just flying off the shelves. Prices may seem steep at first but one "full" container is easily a meal for two people and at around $20, that's a typical price. The convenience, quality, quantity, and variety of items prevails over the cost. I've tried a good number of items and everything has been delicious. Not salty, not too sweet, not heavy or greasy...just perfectly homemade and well-balanced. The cooking instructions are all exactly on point as well. The Kitchen is what every city needs, well-priced, nutritious food that is ready to grab and go. Everyone working inside is very nice, all items are clearly displayed, signs are easy to read, enough space that it doesn't get crowded everywhere. Don't leave without picking up an oatmeal crème pie.
