Cork Lounge is a great neighborhood bar with cheap beers everyday. It's very clean and nice inside, but doesn't throw off that appearance from outside. Good beer selection, pool, board games, etc. Not a bad spot at all. Stop on in and grab yourself a drink. read more

No longer the comfy hole in the wall neighborhood bar, but your average-could-be-anyplace bar. The remodel is nice. It's clean. The bathrooms are big. The bar is nice and open. Very chic and clean. This used to be a place where I would go 3 or 4 nights a week, sometimes more. It was dank, there was a long list of usuals that I played pool with and we knew each others names. Then the CTA took 4 feet of the bar for the first 20 feet. The only thing that is left of the old Cork is the wonderful owner, the neon sign in the window and the lip around the bar. While it's nice to see the owner doing well, and making this a "nice clean place to leave his daughter" it's disappointing to see all that history thrown away. RIP Cork of the good old days, hello hipster hangout. read more

A great local dive spot. They have pool and shuffleboard (pool a dollar a game, shuffleboard for free). They have amazingly cheap beer deals and also high quality beers on tap. The service is always friendly and they also serve some snacks and food here. They also have some cool lounge chairs and tons of old board games to play while drinking. read more

A solid choice for low key drinks. Pretty good craft beer choices in addition to the standard macro beers. Bartenders are friendly and they always have specials. A few arcade games and board games are available. Really good neighborhood bar. read more

A few more visits have made me realize how much better Cork Lounge is. An added bonus to going to a great low-key neighborhood bar? Since they have only frozen pizza on their menu, not only are they ok with outside food in the establishment, they actually have a number of takeout menus available behind the bar! read more

Love this place. Pool table. Great shuffleboard. Nudy Photo hunt. Darts. Board games. Cheap pbr $2 pints all the time and great specials. Love visiting this place when we visit a mate that lives nearby. read more

Bigger than expected inside, walked in an was pleasantly surprised. Board games and suffleboard, and gorgeous layout and atmosphere. Great daily deals, cheap beer. Was a great Chicago bar to stumble upon walking from Wrigley. If you go to a game, this bar is a wonderful place to stop for a classic Chicago feel. read more

I used to live a few blocks away from Cork and we would go there on the nights that we didn't feel like venturing out to wrigleyville or we just didn't want to deal with the crowds found at other bars. Cork Lounge is a great bar with a relaxed atmosphere, and beautiful wood bar. It is never overcrowded and there is always a table available. The bartenders are super nice and fun to talk to. Unlike a crowded bar where you can't get the attention of the bartender long enough to get a drink, the bartenders at Cork Lounge are always on top of getting patrons another drink and even have time to talk to you about the vast selection of beers they carry. That is another plus to this bar- there are a lot of different beers you can try and they are reasonably priced as well. Cork Lounge also has plenty of things to entertain you. They have pool tables in the back as well as board games up front. It is fun to get friends together for a night of drinking and games. All in all, I would definately check out this laid back bar with a lot to offer next time you find yourself off of the brown line Addison stop. read more

The Cork Lounge is an awesome neighborhood bar. When I lived nearby, I frequented with my roommates. Now, I live farther away but it's a perfect spot when you have some time to kill on random weeknights, so I still come back. Cool little watering holes are a dime a dozen in Chicago, but the relaxed, inviting atmosphere of this neighborhood is really captured here. This place has a good crowd on the weekends, and everyone is always friendly here, but my only tip would be to order your next drink before you finish/close your tab as you order your final drink because the bartender is often alone and busy. read more

If I lived in the neighborhood, this bar would SO be my place. Cheap drinks. Lots of seats. Decent music. Friendly patrons. Games. Need I really say more? Ok, I will. My broke ass was loving the uber-cheap options. The chalkboard advertises all the specials and options available. I was a little miffed with Cork not carrying High Life (WTF.) but I rebounded nicely with a Coors Light. As a woman in her 30s, I was more feeling the front section of the bar. The back seemed to be overloaded with DePaul kids bumping and grinding to Nelly hits from the 90s. I mean, I'm not above a dance party, but if you're not feeling sweating it out to Ride Wit Me, chill in the front and you'll be A-OK. So yeah. Next time I'm up and around here, I'm in. read more

I wanted a quick nite cap after exiting the brownline from a long nite at work (I'm in the industry) so I decided to stop in. Nice place cool selection of beer, people having fun BUT I sat down and watched the one drunk bartender drink, the bar back wash glasses in front of me and the other bartender take care of the one side of the bar. I sat for 10 min. I got up to use the bathroom then came back to the one side the bartender was only serving and waiting some more cause now she was talking to someone for more than 3 minutes more that I waited. The bartender didn't acknowledge that I was there, the drunk didn't know what was going on and the barback in the Adidas jacket didn't even look at me and tell the bartenders that there was someone waiting for drink. NOT COOL SHITTY SERVICE. Will NOT be back read more

came here for a uic design student fund raiser get together thing. it's a great neighborhood bar but it was too neighborhood for me. there is a pool table in the front room and karaoke in the back. =D the beers were cheap and the environment chill but i think it would be a great time with lots of your friends. read more

This is your average tiny Chicago bar, its small, clean and beer is cheap. They do not have a kitchen, but will serve you frozen pizzas. This is a great place to grab a drink any night of the week and seems to always have a place to sit. However one Friday night I wondered in here at about midnight, I asked them how late they were open, which was two o'clock so I thought I had plenty of time. I played a bunch of music and was about half way through when she shut it off at about one o'clock and she decided to close the bar. I could understand this if I was the only one in here however there were several people still inside, playing music and drinking!! I'm sure this is not what the owner would want... The bartender looked tired and was not friendly at all. Thankfully this is not the same experience I had the second time I went into this bar. read more

It's like hanging out at your favorite uncle's house. Friendly regulars, an eclectic jukebox and $2 PBR everyday. It is the best kept secret on the north side, and I hope writing this review doesn't ruin it. read more

Great specials always(tall boy Schlitz and a shot of Jim Beam for $5). Great beer if cheap beer isn't your thing. Oh did I mention free shuffle board, foosball, and darts as well as $1 pool. This place opened right after prohibition and the current owner Tony sure runs it like a true bar. Affordable, can entertain w bar games, never too crowded... 5 stars read more

The Cork is a great hole in the wall. When you walk in you feel like maybe the music should stop and everyone looks at you for a split second but that passes quickly when you burrow up to the bar to get a tasty $2 PBR that are always on special. There is plenty of gaming and interesting decoration on the walls to feed your curiousity. read more

Great experience at this place. Really cool vibe, cool people. Different areas you can chill at or you can belly up to the bar. Staff was awesome Wednesday night (11-31)! Prices are to kill for. $2 beers ALL the time. Full selection to boot. Not sure why I havent been here more before. New favorite!! read more

Super chill. $2 dollar PBR Drafts Dude!!! Not much for food though, but great place to get Cronked up!

I love this bar. Great prices, low-key environment, and most importantly free shuffleboard.

Used to live in the neighborhood before buying a house in Joliet and I used to come here all time. It was great stopping by the other day and I had a wonderful time. Didn't the bar use to be on the other side? read more

I used to be a fan of this place when it was a practically empty dive bar full of talkative old people and a juke box full of memories. I would come and speak some Ukrainian with Natalka, the bartender, and feel like it was my neighborhood Cheers. Now the bar looks like any other bar and attracts the kind of people that could be at any other bar and that makes me sad. It's nice, it's new, and it's clean, but it has definitely lost its charm. read more

So, been thinking about going here? Just do it. It's that easy walk-in bar atmosphere where you can be you and friends will be friends. Gamer? Darts, shuffleboard, pool, Ms PAC Man and tons of board games. Just a great local place! read more

Thursday night I was in this bar and had terrible service. First I saw a man ask for a beer and was told to wait a minute which was 10 mins as she left the bar to go into a room. Then he asked again and he was given a dirty look guest he was not the right color. I went to the bar for a drink and stood there to watch her serve everyone around me and I simply left and went to a bar that had a friendly bartender. read more

This place blows. it is spacious and they have a Ms Pac man. That is about it along with the cheap beer. The time I went these people were hogging the pool table talking more than playing. The server was awful just paying attention to his friends and they place reeked like half of the tap was spilling on the floor. The floor was sticky all over including the table tops and I will not even get into the bathrooms. read more

This place now has FREE SHUFFLEBOARD! How cool is that? And its a monster of a table too. Mondays are 75c can night, so it can get pretty busy, but the other nights are way more relaxed. The bartenders are all chill and it also has some of the best art I've ever seen in a bar. Try the Apple Pie Shot! Its a house recipe -- you won't be disappointed! Also, they have a license to sell beer to go. ^^ read more

I don't get to stop in that often because I also work in the service industry. I live around the corner so when I do get to visit it's very convenient. I really do love this bar. They have a great selection and it's cheap! They also have fun mustaches stuck on the bathroom mirrors for picture taking lol. Bartenders are super nice too. read more

Didn't really know what to expect walking in but it's close to the Addison stop and located right under the bridge. Walked in on a late Thursday and had great service from the start. Bartender was super sharp, welcoming and patient. They have a lot of specials and at the bar I found some great conversations and down to earth people. Great dive spot to come have a beer and a shot and talk and meet people. Looking forward to coming back and enjoying great times there. read more

Cheap beer and clean bathrooms are sometimes hard to find. This place has both plus cool bartenders. I wish I lived closer as this seems like the perfect low key place to grab a drink any night of the week. There was something kinda sterile about it though that messed with the vibe of the place. I knocked a star off due to the gunk that was on my bag and coat after hanging it on the back of my chair. I can't scrub it off! read more

Oh shit, the hipsters discovered 75 cent beer night. There was quite a flock of those dumb hairdoes and big glasses. Still, cork is a good place to grab a drink when goldies is too packed. good bartenders and nice ipod plays. read more

I've been coming to this bar for a few years now and on a very infrequent basis. Well, I just moved around the corner and am looking forward to making this my local. They have a great selection of beers on tap, decent daily specials and a handful of beers are 2 bucks every day! Can't beat that!! Tamale guy makes a stop or two but they also offer freezer pizza, which I've never tried but smells delish!! With pool and shuffleboard, and a nice cast of regulars, you won't be bored. Dog friendly, which is also fun!! read more

Nice place to have a beer after a rough day at work as it's right next to the Addison brown line stop. The servers are friendly , nice decor and since the place just reopened after a remodel it stills has that new bar smell . read more

How does this place not have a higher rating? Pool table, Ms. Pac-Man machine (original, not the 25th anniversary edition), good music, Megatouch, laid back crowd, and a cool (and good) bartender. What more can you ask for in a bar? You can't ask for anything else except for it to be closer to where I live. However, anytime I have to wait for the addison bus at the brown line or i feel like making the trip, I'll be grabbing a beer here. read more

Never crowded, right under the Addison brown line and has a great selection of super cheap beer and quality beer. What's not to like?

Was there fir a birthday party this weekend. Very nice place clean and friendly. I would definitely recommend

I happened upon the cork lounge when I was about to hop on the brown line one night. I made the mistake of going to Goldies that night. I normally like Goldies but on this night the illegitimate son of Scott hall was working there. He wanted me to give him tips before he got me my drinks. I gave him a special one finger salute as i walked out the door. Any way back to the cork. This place is very laid back and I felt very comfortable. The bartender provided great service. He got a nice tip at the end of the night. I will be heading out here quite often and for me that is really saying something. read more

Live close by, the main draw is the cheap drinks. Hard to find a better array of cheap beer in the area. The downside is that the place is really dark and since its rarely crowded it can feel a bit depressing. Not a bad spot for a few beers and some pool, but not a place to plan your night around. read more

Only went in for one drink and a game of checkers early one Saturday evening, but I am more than willing to go back again for further analysis. Whatever music was playing, whether it was a pandora station, or the bartenders own ipod... This place was AMAZING with old 90's dance/hiphop. I felt I was back in Junior High listening to b96 on the radio. read more

I was just at the Cork lounge to hear the rock band they had that night and have a few pints of guinness. We were all the way in the back by the band all night, but then again we prefer to rock out than sip wine in front where its quiet. The place was obviously just rebuilt as the washrooms don't smell like a dumpster like most places and there's no damn old rank smoke smell like every other place has. Since I just quit, again, it was nice not to be tortured with every breath. Long story short: next to brownline stop, cool people but a bit crowded, lots of taps, lots of room, clean, and I'll be back for the $4 guinness specials... read more

I love the Cork Lounge. Great beer selection and bartenders you can have a real conversation with in a casual and comfy setting. It is easy to get to from the brown line, literally right next to the train. I also am guilty of those delicious frozen pizza's that we order after we have had a few- they are just what I need every time. Thanks Cork! read more

not that much people. cheap beers. darts, pool table, and shuffleboard. awesome neighborhood bar!
