Terrible experience for this company they double charged my credit card for monthly fee for 13 months after I found out not even apologetic!! All managers are arrogant and bad attitude, Never anybody answers phone except machine. Their customer service are sucks. Watch out they could double charge you too!! read more

I redeemed my free week at Corepower Yoga and it was the most amazing week ever!! Parking here is easy, because you get 2 hrs free underground (Look for a sign that says retail parking!) Upon walking into the studio, the staff was friendly. The locker room is small compared to the Huntington Beach location. Bring your own lock, towel, mat! The classes range from early morning to late night; SO convenient for working people! I LOVE THE YOGA SCULPT CLASSES!!! It's a gnarly workout! I sweat soooo much and it's so fun!!! The studio is clean and beautiful. It puts me in a good peaceful mood. I only knocked off one star because it's so expensive for a college student like me. I'd never be able to afford it, so I'll just reminisce about my amazing week here doing yoga at Corepower. read more

I'm so sad. This was my favorite yoga studio of all times and I had the most awful experience today. I arrived to my class and the door was closed so I kept knocking for a long time. When the grumpy receptionist showed up, she told me I was late so I couldn't take my class. Such an expensive class and all wasted because of a bad person with a bad attitude. Honestly guys this is a yoga studio... you should be more selective with your staff. read more

This is a review of yoga instructor Lina's class at Corepower yoga, Pasadena. My friend referred me to this place and I thought I should also give this place a try. I had a busy day I was looking forward to this relaxing yoga time. Before class started, Lina asked people to put their extra bags in locker room outside, even though everybody else ignored her announcement, I got up and put my yoga mat bag in the locker room. I only kept my phone, and kept it next to me in case someone were to call with personal or work emergency. The whole time my phone was on mute and I have been to many other Corepower yoga classes with different instructors and have frequently seen other students keep their cell phones with them the entire class and no other yoga instructors ever complained. All of the of the suddenly, in the middle of class, while I was catching up on my breathing, Lina approached me and ordered me to immediately put my phone in the locker room. She walked away while I was responding, I told her someone may need to call me with a personal or work emergency and I will put the phone under my yoga mat so no one can see it. A few minutes later she came back and got really close to my face without any warning and interrupted my breathing again while I was working on my positions and quickly flipped over my yoga mat and looked at me angrily and she said: you have to put your cell phone in the locker or the front desk. (It was 8pm at the time and nobody would be in the front to keep my phone from being stolen). Lina's confrontation was during the middle of class, I explained to her since I already had my phone, that I could keep it under my mat and out of sight until the end of this class. She continuously and aggressively cut me off five times while I tried to explain myself, she simply would not let me finish my sentences, and shouted: NO!!!, YOU HAVE TO PUT YOUR PHONE OUTSIDE!!! NO YOU HAVE TO GO!!! During Lina's angry and loud statements, more and more people began to look in our direction and this whole event was a publicly traumatic experience and was completely shocking, everything you would not expect in a yoga class after a long day of work. Lina has no respect for a paying customer and fully took advantage of my physically exhausted and vulnerable state, as I was still catching up on my breathing, and decided to single me out in class and intentionally publicly humiliate me. During this whole time, many students had left their bags in front of the room and many had completely ignored her request for them to put their bags outside of class, prior to class starting. Since I was the only one to follow her direction, at the beginning of the class when she made this announcement, I feel from this point forward that I would be an easy target for her, someone she could intentionally tyrannize for the remaining of the class until I was forced to leave. After Lina shouted at me and forced me out of the classroom. The manager Kellie, told me that they routinely have a lot of customers that bring their phones to the classroom, due to their job needs. The manager could offer no explanation as to why Lina was enforcing this policy in the first place and why she had to do it in the middle of class in front of everybody. Now, I am considering submitting corporate complaint and filing civil lawsuit to prevent this from happening to anybody else. I am writing this review because no one deserves to be tormented or bullied, during a physically exhausted state, especially when initially came to the yoga class seeking relaxation and not to be intentionally and publicly humiliated. read more

Really enjoy the studio. It's hard to find a heated yoga studio that's not exclusively hot/ bikram style. Studio is clean, parking is easy. Knocked a star because I wish there was a little more variety in the scheduling. It's the same classes at all the same times daily. It would be nice if they rotated some classes on different days. I also wish they would bring back some more c1 and c1.5 classes, it's always to get back to basics. I also find the classes themselves a little structured. Like it's the same flow class to class which isn't necessarily a bad thing but it would be nice to change it up. Good studio, lots of options, clean facilities. Just wish there was a touch more variety on a day to day basis. read more

I have a membership here and attend quite regularly. Though I like the classes, I am not sure it is worth the price they charge. Though I've attended all the classes, I love the yoga sculpt classes. It is a great workout and a nice mix of yoga and strength work. This class is the main reason I have a membership. Unfortunately, sometimes you'll end up with a teacher that isn't very good. I think sometimes there are teachers in training or something. It makes a big difference on how good the class is by what teacher you have. They used to have a Core Cardio Circuit class offered here that was my favorite. It was a more high intensity HIIT style class that was nice to mix in with the yoga. Unfortunately, they got rid of it a couple months ago. Because of this, I may cancel my membership soon. It just isn't the same without that option. I have attended other locations that are much better. Apparently some are franchises and some corporate owned and that is what makes the difference. I've noticed this one can get quite smelly. Often the weights are unorganized and messy and several of the lockers are broken. Sometimes the showers are dirty as well. One unfortunate thing about CPY is that they do not provide towels or mats. You have to bring your own or else they will charge you $2 for each. They also do not have locks in the locker room so you have to bring your own if you want your valuables secured. With the high end price tag they charge, I would expect a few more niceties. Definitely try the free week and see what you think! It is worth trying out and if they are offering any kind of promo for signing up, sometimes you can join at a lower rate. read more

Great teachers, clean rooms and accommodating schedules. I'm pretty new to yoga but after coming for a week, it's been an empowering addition in my lifestyle. Healthy mind and body, let's go! read more

Love CorePower Yoga! Good workouts for yogies of all levels (beginners, intermediate, advanced). Their workouts are designed to not only improve flexibility but also build strength (more so than other yoga studios), which is one reason I prefer Corepower yoga to similar hot yoga studios. Instructors are very friendly and genuinely seems to care about you. Welcoming environment for a good workout. Rooms are not heated to temperatures as high as what you would experience at hot 8 yoga. This allows you to get a better workout in without completely dehydating you. However, the studio gets very crowded sometimes and air ventilation inside the studio rooms could be improved. Membership is pricey, but they have a great free week trial, so definitely give it a try and see if you like it! read more

The sculpt class I took here was way too crowded. They packed so many people in one room that our yoga mats were touching. It's bordering on unsafe when you're trying to balance in the dark with hand weights. I wish they had marks on the floor for each mat space and capped the classes at 5-10 fewer people so it could be a more enjoyable experience. The room wasn't just hot, but also extremely humid and towards the end pretty smelly. Half of the lockers are actually cubbies with no door or lock, which is a little nerve wracking when you're leaving your phone, keys, wallet, etc unattended for an hour. The music was pretty good. Parking is free, but can be difficult to find. Overall, it wasn't the worst experience, but there are other studios in LA that I've enjoyed a lot more for a similar price. read more

This is my favorite yoga studio!! Before Corepower yoga there wasn't really one yoga studio that has me signed up for the monthly pass. I have always been using class-pass and take yoga here and there. After one lesson through class-pass I became a regular! The adjustments from teachers are SUPERB! Teachers are very knowledgeable, they are always friendly and positive, and the studio has a lot of classes to offer. There is also an underground parking so it makes things easy going to class. The stuido is getting REALLY popular though since the average people in class is around 10 and I have been in a class that is so packed that you are basically mat to mat with other students. read more

I really like CorePower Yoga and I wish I could come more frequently, but it is on the pricey side. The only time I have come is when I got the free 1st wk (for new clients) and when I bought groupon for 1 month unlimited (which you can do once a year! So this is my second year). The regular pricing is definitely on the pricey side, and even though I have class pass, they never offer the popular classes (i.e. Yoga sculpt) This studio is pretty small compared to other's I've been to such as Brea, however it still works out. Sometimes I do feel a little cramped and we have to move our mats closer together but as long as you stagger and not get into your neighbors space it should be fine. I've actually only take Yoga Sculpt here with Holly and another girl (I forgot her name) But i LOVE holly's class. Shes super sweet, upbeat, and energetic. She gives a great vibe and is very encouraging. I definitely always get a good sweat in her class. Overall, a great yoga studio. Just wish it was a little bigger!! and less expensive :P Or I wish they had more specials to make it a little more affordable! read more

I have practiced at many CPY studios and I honestly think this is the friendliest, and most sincere group of people I could ever hope to see for my daily dose of yoga. From Steph and Britt, to Bradley and Brynn, Lina and Kristin- All have a unique and nurturing energy which they readily share with each yogi no matter his/her skill level. I feel so fortunate to be a part of this community. Some days the workouts are very tough and I don't want to get out of bed, but the high energy music coupled with a genuine attention to each member makes this a great experience no matter what shape you are in. I highly recommend becoming a regular and am so glad I did. The founder of CPY, Trevor Tice wanted to make yoga much more accessible for all, and this studio is definitely the embodiment of that spirit. Come check it out by signing up for their free week, you'll be hooked. read more

Simple, no frills, yet good people and good teachers.

I tried the free week! I am not a yoga person and didn't really understand why people like yoga. But after CorePower Yoga I kind of understood!! All the instructors were very friendly and they don't ask you to buy their classes at all! So everyone should come and try it for a week for free to see if this is for you! Bring towel cuz you are going to be drench in sweat no matter what class you take I've tried the C1, C2, Yoga Sculpt in my 1 week and my favorite is probably C2! C1 is an intro class and the first class I took. It was Sunday and the class was pretty crowded. The instructor mainly tells students what to do by calling out the name of the posture/movement in yogi language so I was a bit lost and had to keep looking at my classmates. She did demonstrate a few poses that we repeated a lot in class (both in C1 and C2 classes). It got a little bit boring at the end. And I was told by one of the instructors that the routine in C1 is always the same. The room was pretty warm. C2 has the same flow of C1 but a bit more challenging and the room temp is hotter. In both C1 and C2 they give you "playtime" where you can practice the pose that you have been practicing or just rest. I like that some instructor will show you some poses that you can practice during the time if you are lost (i.e. fish pose, crow pose, tripod...etc). YS includes both cardio and weights in a heated room. I enjoyed the class as it made me feel like I'm using my muscle and was a bit sore the next day. but it was just too hot for me to do cardio so I only took it once. In all of the class, the instructor asked permission to touch you if they need to (help you get into correct posture), but in the 5 classes I took, only 1 instructor corrected my posture, which I greatly appreciate since I am a newbie and has no idea what I am doing.\ read more

The best part about this place are the class times. I like that I can come basically anytime PM or AM and there will be a class I can take. Parking is free too. I knocked one star off because I feel like the teachers don't come and adjust you. Personally , form is important to me and I like to know if I'm suppose to be point my toes out, look down or up. But the teachers here focus more on your breathes and your mind. So if you're a beginner and you don't know what you're doing, this may be harder for you to follow. Staff was overall friendly... locker rooms get crowded. Restrooms are clean. Floors clean. They have locks for you to borrow. Tip: Bring a large to cover your mat, you will be dropping in sweat. read more

The studio is conveniently located near Old Pasadena. Parking is free and relatively easy to access. I've only been to the studio a couple times, because it's a bit of a drive for me. However, I highly recommend Holly Sy's classes. She's extremely thoughtful in how she structures the classes from the movements to the song choice. Her sculpt classes are difficult, so be ready to sweat (and be sore.. but happy sore). read more

I love CPY Hollywood and dropped by here because I wanted to take a specific class late at night and this location offered it. First off, I forgot how great the suburbs are - totally free parking! Otherwise, everything was of the same level of greatness as I get from CPY Hollywood. Clean, cute studio. Friendly helpful instructor. I personally really like the predictability of a chain. I know exactly what I'm getting regardless of where I am. Also, it's super close to Colorado so you can get some shopping done before or after yoga! read more

This studio is great! They have a large variety of classes that are scheduled all day and, in this way, they make incorporating yoga into your daily life a very accessible thing to do. I go religiously. My day is off if I'm not there. I can tell the difference in my body thanks to the teaching they provide. The instructors are all very knowledgeable and experienced and the studio is very clean. I love that I can have the membership at this home studio and then use it at other CPY's, super convenient. And the free parking is a HUGE plus. PROS: I adore Kristen's C2. She has a background in physical therapy and it shows-- my body feels amazing after I go to class and I feel like I better understand how to care for/ move my body because of her guidance. I also love Jennifer's classes, she's very knowledgeable and an experience with her feels very much like authentic yoga. And Joel has a great class too, with a deep, soothing voice. They're also all great instructors because they vary their flows--don't just follow the yoga flow basics-- and thus give routine CPY members something new to look forward to and feel challenged by. The studio team as a whole cares about their yogis, often critiquing technique to offer a better experience and even (with permission) giving comforting massages. SUGGESTIONS TO CPY: Put markers in the studios for where people are to put their mats! The classes can get very full and the spacing of mats in the studio gets very strange very fast-- totally preventable. If they put markers on the ground that are roughly the size of a yoga mat, they could ensure that every yogi has an equal and fair amount of space in the studio (makes a huge difference during your practice). Labels on the weight rack, denoting which weights go where, would also be nice-- i feel so bad for the SET team because the weights are so hard to organize and there's no reason for the rack to be in such a disarray. The only other thing I would recommend is that the locker room is revamped; a carpet floor is kinda gross in a sweaty, wet environment and it would be awesome to have SoulCycle-esque lockers. Also, for the pricing of the membership, towels should be provided for people who are going to take a shower. read more

What's better than a cup of coffee at 6am??! A class of CP2 (Core Power level 2)!! I've taken a few classes, mostly with Joel and he's great! I was an avid yogi until I got really sick. It's been about 3 years since I practiced and Core Power was a great way to get back in. Each CP2 class begins with sun salutation A's, and then goes through variations of core work, sun salutation B's, and balancing. The first time around, the poses are held longer, and then we go through the same poses but in a flow. Classes are a little pricy, anywhere from $17-23, depending on the package. When you're in the class, it's definitely worth it--they studio is clean, there's no smell of funk even though the rooms are heated, use of lockers is free, free underground parking, great instructors, and a great work out! For those new to the studio, there are several deals around, a free week of class, Groupon, Gilt, and even Class Pass. I've been to other Core Power locations too and they're all of the same quality. I even recommended Core Power to my bestie who is a yoga instructor in New York and she loved it. This place is legit! read more

I was a couple of minutes late to a class because parking is really hard in the area and I was met with sarcasm and passive aggressive behavior at the front desk. I was rejected from a class I paid for with no apology or remedy to make it up to me. I honestly haven't experienced such a poor attitude in customer service in a very long time. I don't know how this studio expects to gain members with people like this girl working the front desk. She wore glasses and had quite bad acne, so if she's there when you try to take a class WATCH OUT. Obviously I understand the reason for having a lateness policy, what I do not understand is why this employee's bad attitude is tolerated... especially at a yoga studio (a place that is supposed to offer support and positive energy to their customers) I was clearly remorseful and when I spoke to her and said 'I'm so sorry I'm late, the parking structure was full' and she replied with 'I didn't build the parking structure' I never suggested you did. If you want to turn people away who clearly have hustled to be there, paid for their class, and at that point have even paid for parking, fine... but as a business you should probably do it with more grace, gratitude and a little something called customer service. read more

My second time doing yoga while redeeming my free week at CPY :) I like this location a lot! Parking can be difficult in old town but they're nice enough to accommodate you by validating for 2 hours free parking I tried out core power 1 tonight with Alex and he was a great instructor! Super clear on all the instructions for the poses which made the class a lot more enjoyable for a beginner like me :') At first, i had no idea what was going on but I quickly began to get the hang of it with the help of Alex. Music was calming and I liked the playlist a lot (a lot of the same songs in my iTunes) Bathroom is clean and stocked fresh with amenities like deodorant, mouth wash, even tampons haha Would definitely come back to this location, possibly even tomorrow to try out another class :) read more

I really like CorePower Yoga! I would be a more frequent member if their membership/class prices weren't so high. I've been here with a 2-week free trial as a new client, and then another 1 week free a few months later. I heard about CorePower from a friend of mine. When she first told me about it, I thought it was crazy. Who would want to do yoga in a 100 degree room?! However, once I gave it a try, I really enjoyed it. It does take some time to get used to the intense temperatures and sweating in places you've never sweat before (literally EVERYWHERE), but once you do it's pretty fun. The great thing about hot yoga is that I feel like I get an amazing workout without having to do too much cardio. I am not a fan of cardio, but I do want a great workout, so this is just perfect for me. C2 is one of my favorite classes because it helps me perfect my yoga moves while still getting a good workout. When I want to push myself more, I take Yoga Sculpt, which involves some cardio and weight training. All of the instructors are super great too and really motivating. If you've never done hot yoga and want to try something new, definitely give CorePower a try! Their 1 week free for new clients is an awesome offer to take advantage of with no commitment. read more

I'm a devout CPY enthusiast and this studio is surely not a disappointment. The teachers are all fantastic, very down to earth, and incredibly helpful. The studio is always very clean and tidy. There is free parking in the garage under the building (enter on Dayton where it says "shops" parking). I'm most present in C2 classes, though I am also a big fan of the C1.5 (not offered at a lot of other LA-area studios), because it's a slightly cooler, slightly slower practice that allows me to ditch the hard core cardio of sculpt or super vinyasa-heavy flow of C2 if I'm in need of a little relaxing. Like any other CPY, you can get a free first week to test out the waters. The Pasadena location also does a fair number of workshops (meditation-based, inversion-based, etc.), local events (champagne + yoga flows at the Langham, sign me up!), and lots of fun themed classes (I recently found myself in a Prince themed class and oh boy(!) was it great). My one complaint is the space is a bit small (both the studios and the locker rooms), but you win some, you lose some. Can't be that mad at a small limitation like that, though. read more

This is my absolutely favorite yoga place! I am so happy that i did the free 1 wk trial. Because ever since i haven't stopped going. Love the vibe and positivity the instructors give. ClassPass Review - CorePower Yoga 1, CorePower Yoga 1.5, CorePower Yoga 2 I'm your typical "let's-go-to-the-gym-and-pump-some-iron" type of guy. CorePower Yoga made me a BELIEVER. It was fun, but better yet, I was DRIPPING sweat at the end of the workout. I started with CorePower 1, which is just beginner's yoga in a room-temperature room. Then I did CorePower1.5 which is beginner's yoga in a hot room. BOTH are great. Obviously i sweated 5 gallons more in the hot room, but I was dripping sweat even on CP1. The studio is brand brand new. The showers and locker room are beautifully designed. Sometimes I feel like I want to go there just to take a shower! There are a few lots around that offer free 90 minute parking. There's also street-metered parking. read more

I was extremely skeptical when a friend of mine encouraged me to join her for a class here at CorePower yoga. I am a runner but can hardly call myself an athlete and I was certainly not very flexible. The free week of classes eventually got me hooked in and I agreed to try it out. During my first visit, my first instructor, Holly, hooked it up with an extra week of free classes. Awesome! In my free trial period, I stuck to C1 (CorePower Level 1) classes and 2 sessions of Hot Power Fusion. Both were extremely good workouts. C1 is held in an 85 degree room and you are sweating after a couple of chaturungas. Holly and all of the other C1 instructors guide you through essentially the same sequence of poses throughout each 60 minute class, but each instructor still has their own personal style and touch on each class. All are encouraging and will help you make adjustments to your poses to ensure correct alignment and a deeper stretch, but they will leave you alone if you decide that you'd rather not be touched. I suggest coming to class at least 15 minutes before class to get a good spot as sometimes classes can get a bit crowded. I had a great time in my 2 free weeks and am currently taking advantage of a $75 unlimited month of classes deal that I purchased from Groupon. This past week, I took a C2 class for the first time and it was a lot more intense than the C1 class, even after taking a couple of weeks worth of C1 classes. I will make it a point to make it here for C1.5 this coming week. The facilities are very clean, modern, and new! Best of all, there is free underground parking! Upon entrance into the studio, there is a merchandise area in the front, 2 studios of a good size, and locker rooms are available. The men's locker room is clean, with plenty of lockers and cubbies, 3 shower stalls, and is stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and lotion, mouthwash, and simple toiletries for you to use. My experience with CPY has been nothing short of fantastic and has turned me into a bit of a yoga fanatic. I find myself feeling refreshed and challenged, and I like that the instructors emphasize the mental and emotional benefits of the yoga classes during sessions aside from the physical benefits. For those on a budget, the regular pricing for classes and memberships is a bit high (see their website for more details), but take advantage of the free 2 weeks as well as Groupon deals if you get the chance. It's well worth it! Highly recommended! read more

Came here last night for my first experience of a hot yoga class. The instructor, Malaika was really welcoming and friendly. I took the C2 - corePower Yoga 2 level class, and as a first timer it wasn't too hard to keep up. They also provide towel rentals for $1 and yoga mats for $2. Great first time experience! read more

New CPY finally opened in Pasadena! All the workers and instructors were friendly and the facility was very clean. I've taken the Hot Power Fusion and the Yoga Sculpt class and both were good. The Yoga Sculpt class was a little more challenging because it does incorporate weights and it seemed to have less "breaks" but I felt that the temperature was not as hot as the Hot Power Fusion class. Well I signed up 2 weeks ago and just can't say enough about how happy I am here! From the minute I walk in the door I feel instantly calm and glad that I showed up. Everyone is super friendly and the instructors are awesome. I'm lucky that I work in La Canada so I can use both studios... no excuses for not finding time for yoga when there's so many classes to choose from. I love how I feel after I finish a class, I can definitely notice a difference in my energy level. Thanks CPY! read more

I am not a yoga fanatic, but CorePower might convert me! I visited using their promotional offer and took Power Fusion Yoga. Wow! As an athlete, my muscles are always tight, sore, and abused, so yoga is pretty tough for me. Especially some of the poses that require shoulder flexibility. After one Power Fusion class my shoulders ( entire body really) felt amazing. The instructor -I forget his name but he teaches Friday at 7PM - was by far one of the best yoga instructors that I've encountered and that's saying a lot because I am a fitness professional. He talked the class through every pose and did a lot of alignment corrections. He was engaged and did an awesome job challenging the different levels of fitness in the class. He also made the class fun! Sometimes yoga classes get too deep/weird for me, but this class was perfectly balanced. The studio itself was clean and well decorate. The towels and mats are available for purchase. Towels for $1 and mats for $2. The locker rooms have, lotion, mouthwash, body wash, and lockers available to use. And there are also cubbies inside the locker room. If you take a hot yoga class definitely bring an extra set of clothes to change into after. You will be drenched in sweat. Great studio and staff! 5 stars all the way! read more

I started going to CPY over a year ago at the other SoCal locations. It only took one class with the beautiful Yessie in Hollywood before I was hooked forever! The studio is large, comes with an amazing community, and great instructors. There is also plenty of free parking spaces in the garage..which is a huge plus! The last thing you want is to stress about where to park or to rush out right after class so that you don't have to pay. I mainly take sculpt, but I do occasionally take C2 or Hot Power Fusion if I want a little bit of a deeper stretch or want a lighter work out. However my favorite by far is sculpt as it does wonders for your body. It is a full body work out that incorporates weights with your yoga practice. Be prepared for some intense cardio bursts, core exercises, some major squatting, and then end with some stretching in the 100 degree heat. The music will get you pumped and instructor will push you all the way thru. It sounds miserable now, but feels amazing after. You will get toned and build strength in no time. In addition, your skin will glow from the heat! It is $155 per month for unlimited classes. It is a little steep, but definitely worth it for someone like me that goes 5-6 times a week. The first week is free and you can always find a deal on Groupon or other similar sites. Another great thing is that your membership can be used at any of the other locations nationwide and there's a great phone app where you can check schedules and and see who is teaching. If you are ever in Pasadena...check out Mark's sculpt class. He teaches on Wednesday at 7:30 pm and Saturday at 10:30 am. Namaste! read more

This is one of my favorite Corepower Yoga studios around Los Angeles. I've been to the Hollywood studio and the studio city studio; Pasadena is my favorite because it seems to be smaller and cleaner. In addition, this location also has free parking for two hours in the back of the studio. When in comes to classes, my personal favorite is the yoga sculpt class. It incorporates cardio and strength training. This class is more fast past with weights (optional) in a heated room. The temperature is not as hot as Bikram and has humidity so I don't usually shrivel like a prune like I usually do with Bikram. They do provide other yoga classes here, whether you like traditional yoga, bikram, sculpting, or circuit cardio. They're all available with descriptions on their website. read more
