This might be one of my favorite locations of CorePower. I feel like there are a lot of studios and they always get over packed at the most popular times, but I always feel like I get enough space. Yoga Sculpt | Anyone out there who is just like me who dreads going to the gym and working out!? I highly recommend trying CorePower Yoga! All the studios offer a variety of different classes. The classes are different levels of yoga, hot power fusion, core cardio circuit, and hot yoga. My boyfriend took me to a class. They offer a free week! My favorite class is the Yoga Sculpt. "When muscle meets yoga." The class plays upbeat tracks and it combines yoga poses with strength training moves like bicep curls and squats! The thing I love is you don't feel bad if you can't keep up with the class. Everybody moves at their own pace. I for one have to stop and take a break. **Times for each class vary depending on each location** I really like this location. It's clean and the instructors here are friendly and motivating. The two major downsides of this location: parking is very limited. I believe there are only 6-7 spots in a tiny parking lot. There is street parking (meters) & the instructors here fill the class way passed the capacity. You don't get as much space to move. Overall, this location is great but I would try going to one that gives you more space to workout! read more

So lets get one thing straight, I'm not a "yoga" kind of guy. At the ripe age of 28 I tried my first yoga class here with my friend and will admit I enjoyed. I signed up here at the studio and the instructor introduced herself before and told me what to expect. Luckily there wasn't a lot of other people in the class, maybe 8 total. For a "beginners" class everyone else seemed to know what they were doing (show offs), but I pulled my own. 85% of the time I was looking at everyone else and what they were doing, but the instructor came over a few times to help me with breathing, poses and alignment. I appreciated that she didn't single me out as the newbie and let me do my own thing. Overall, I haven't been back, but can finally check "yoga" off my bucket list. read more

I love CorePower yoga classes, but the customer service at several locations and their 1800 number is terrible. First I purchased a Groupon, and somehow, the staff at this studio told me my groupon expired early. They promised to email me about it. I waited two days. They never did. Then I called the customer service and had one competent person who found that I had two accounts, which she combined and made it all ready to purchase a monthly membership. I've spent the last month trying, unsuccessfully, to get a monthly membership. If I call customer service, I get advice to go into the studio. If I go into a studio (this one is an example) somehow they tell me I still have two accounts and I need to call customer service. It's been close to a month, and I just had a huge argument again with a customer service rep, trying to give them my money. They told me to go back to the studio to purchase the black tag membership.She did hang up on me when I began to voice my frustration. So helpful. They don't seem to want my money, so I'm giving up. read more

I have been a member of Corepower Yoga for several years and just recently had to cancel my membership due to travel for work. I have been practicing yoga for over 12 years and have been taking classes all over the country. I am a stressed out nurse and my practice is super important to my spiritual, mental and physical well being. Coming across a teacher that I continue to go back too, is rare for me. I have been a student of Jeremys for several years, and when EVER I am in Colorado, I seek him out and work around his schedule. I love the CorePower studios. However this one is definitely not up to the same standards as the other locations. Walking into the studio there is an awful smell. The class itself was okay but the smell was pungent body odor. I will not be back at this location. read more

I enjoy going to this CorePower location, as it's in my 'hood and it's usually pretty mellow since there is only one class going on at a time here. I am not much of a serious and dedicated Yogi, but I always feel really good after doing Yoga. If it is your first time at a CorePower, you get a week of free classes, and free mat rental. Otherwise, it is $2 to rent a mat. Check out the website and try to pick a non-heated beginner class. Drink lots of water and wear comfortable, light clothing, as it can still be pretty hot in there if the class before was heated. Even when I'm going pretty regularly, the heated classes are iffy for me, unless I am properly hydrated. If you are going to a Hot class, be sure to bring a towel and drink lots of water, before, during and after! If you look at the schedule on the CorePower website, you will even see some free classes offered. If you are willing to go to a different CorePower location in order to get a free class, there are even more options. Personally, if there aren't any suitably timed free classes, I try to go to the $8 classes. There are usually two time slots per day that are only $8, whereas without a membership/punch card, full price is around $17. The 7:30am and 1:30pm classes at the Broadway location are typically $8 (at least at the time of this review) and they usually alternate days between Hot and regular. The $8 classes are offered by a variety of instructors and every instructor teaches a slightly different class, so if you are looking to become a serious Yogi and are thinking about a membership, these classes might be a good way to find the teacher that you love! Laid off from the job? CorePower knows how important self care is in the midst of the never-ending job hunt. They offer a discounted membership rate on the 3 month package if you bring in proof that you were laid off. Show up on your birthday and get a free birthday class! read more

Aside from almost passing out because of the heat, I have to say I enjoyed my one-time yoga experience here, and given more time and money, I'd definitely come back more often. A few tips for newbies such as myself (to be fair, I have done bikram yoga - it's just been a few years!): --hydrate well before your class --bring your own yoga mat. I know you can rent them, but there's just something about renting a mat that other people have done tons of sweating on that just makes me feel weird! --dress comfortably and ladies, don't wear a white tshirt unless you feel like giving a peep show (I know what I"m talking about). --prepare to feel like you've just walked out of the shower. I probably took a class that was a tad more advanced than I was ready for, so just be aware of what level of class you're signing up for. It's great that they offer you a free week of yoga, and they give members referral bonuses. They also apparently have massage and acupuncture here, something I'd love to try out. read more

This place is really close to my house, so I like to go when I have the time (aka at 6 AM). A few weeks ago, I showed up to a 6 AM class and, to my dismay (and the dismay of the other 10 people waiting outside for the instructor) the teacher never showed up! I even emailed Corepower to let them know, and no one even got back to me. Lately, I've been trying to go to yoga a lot and I've been noticing how repetitive the flows are and how loud the music is (and almost every class without fail, it's the same music). I'll probably still go to Corepower because I'm not really sure where else I can go for a "reasonable" price, but I'm going to start looking. read more

Update real quick: I am not sure if it is this particular location, but the Broadway studio always seems to have a pretty sweet deal on all things Yoga gear: pants, tops, towels, sweat towels, hair bands, you name it. Yes, yes - I know what you are thinking and I agree with you - most Lulu lemon type clothes are too pricy even when they are discounted. But you definitely can't deny the quality. And hey - maybe you'll feel more accountable for spending that money and put some good use to your hot new workout get-up. I usually stick to the Yoga Sculpt class, but I did notice a candle light yoga session on the schedule that's held later in the evening when the sun's gone down. I definitely think that could be helpful after a hard day. read more

McDonalds of yoga? Sure, fine, whatever, McDonald's is tasty-but I digress. I'm not interested in going to a "real" yoga class or turning my nose up at CP because of what they say or wear. The people who are complaining about that are seriously missing the irony of their argument. I'm interested in sweating in a hot studio without getting a staph infection or inhaling mold on those 8-count breaths. I'm not worried about clothes, people or corporations, man. I'm worried about letting my day go, relaxing and improving my practice. And to put it simply, I get that at CorePower. Expensive? Yeah. But I feel myself improving and loving yoga more each time. So put down your pile of Anthropologie shirts you want to buy and pay for a membership instead. You'll get a few different teachers, but I think it gives your body a different practice each time, so what's the harm in that? Get there early for any class after 5:00 PM- classes can fill up. Teacher rec: Jeremy's class. No frills, good music, good workout. He loves chair pose. Why, Jeremy? Why do you love chair pose so much!? And jesus, it's 2014. Update your app, that is the biggest piece of shit available to download since Java. Didn't you read what they're saying? You charge us enough to have a decent piece of shit app, not an abomination. So I really don't like working out, but I love Corepower yoga "working out." Broadway is my favorite Core Power Studio in Denver. I just had a great first C2 experience with Tricia. It's obvious that she is great because there were 100 or so people in that room (ok, I hyperbolize, but it was SERIOUSLY packed!) Luckily, my friend saved me a spot; yeah, I'm that girl. My favorite thing Tricia said, "Be honest with yourself about why you are here. If it is to get a toned booty that's honest, but let that go, your booty is already fabulous." Yay! Body positivity at Corepower! I was sad the class ended so early. I love the 1.5 hour long Hot class, especially Sundays, and all of the Hot Power Fusions are great too. Parking is annoying, but I just always try to get there at least 15 mins. early. I want to dislike CP because it is so corporate, and it seems like you have to have amazing clothes and abs just to be there. But I feel like you just sort of have to get over that, and remember, everyone is there for a different reason, and honestly, I am moving so fast and focusing so hard, I barely have time to think about anyone other than myself. And I pay enough in membership fees that I wear whatever and it always seems fine, but the less I wear, and focus on that the better (plus it's so hot and sweaty that comfort is key!) It is Corepower "Yoga" and not the gym, so leave the ego at the door, if you believe in that, and come get your breath on, while sweating immensely, with a bunch of other hot, sweaty people. I get twinges of chest pain looking at how much yoga costs. Yes, I understand the business model and blah blah blah but $20 for a walk-in? I'm pretty sure I could open up my own franchise for the price of the 20-class package. Regardless, I loved three out of the five classes I attended during my free week. I just sort of liked the other two. Even though all of the classes I attended followed the same routine, the instructors are really what make or break the class. One of them (there are two Nancy's and she is one of them) did amazing adjustments though out the entire class - something I did not see with any other instructor. Another instructor had this ominous voice that would have been a bit terrifying if I was unfamiliar with yoga. There are butt loads of sites (and other Yelp reviews) that outline what to do when you go to a hot yoga class, so I won't go there, but I will say that you can never truly prepare yourself for the smell of a hot yoga studio. This one is a bit more pungent than others I've attended. Class times are super convenient if you're an 8 to 5'er like myself, something that I have found lacking among other area studios. Also, the Saturday live music session is out of this world. The minute I find a cheap Groupon for this place, I'm pretty sure I'll be back. read more

This is my favorite Corepower location thus far. I like the instructors here the best, and I love the C2/Hot Power Fusion classes. I tried Hot Yoga here too, and almost wimped out and left early because I thought I was going to die. There is only one room but it is HUGE. I have not seen the place super super packed yet where your mats are touching. Parking is not an issue here, either. Big ups to Corepower. I think I might just cough up the $119 a month after my Groupon is over because I LOVE YOU GUYS THAT MUCH. read more

I love Corepower, and I've been to four or five of their studios in the Denver area. I've only been to the Broadway studio once, as it's a little further that others. What caught my attention was the free community class at 2:45 every Monday with Caprice, which works very well for a student. Parking is a bit hard to find, but there are 8 spots reserved for studio clients right behind it if you're lucky enough to snag one. Spacious studio and locker room, and great instructors. read more

I've been to many CorePower locations across the state and this is by far my favorite! I love that if I am traveling or just on the other side of town I can pop into a class and have some idea of what the class will be like. This is the one studio that I have noticed that they do focus on helping everyone do the pose correctly and that they encourage you to remember that yoga is a practice and that you don't have to be perfect. They remind you to try a variation that you haven't tried before all the while reminding you that yoga is like life, you might fall, so just pick yourself back up and keep trying. This studio has great spirit and energy. Hopefully you will leave drenched in sweat (if you decide not to shower until you get home) feeling like every bad toxin or thought has left your body and you will feel amazing like I do every time I drive away. read more

This studio is very close to where I live and I go there sometimes but with how ridiculously convenient it is you would think I'd go more. I am so lazy about non-cardio sporty activities. But it is getting chilly out, and my triathlon season has wrapped up, so I've been getting there a bit more, at least enough to use up my five class punch-card before it expires. I do really like this studio. The instructors are pretty good (some more than others but they are fairly consistent). I am a yoga heathen, i.e. totally a non-purist, and I like that they play music in some of the classes. Most of the classes are crowded but not horribly packed so that you feel like you are going to whack your neighbor in the head with a stray limb. I do think it is expensive but I understand the business model and why it costs what it costs so I can't really complain... then again I can't give it five stars either! read more

I didn't think any studios would ever live up to the amazing experiences I've had studying yoga in other places around the world (especially Washington and British Columbia). The instructors I've had over the years set the bar very high, but I have been so very blessed (yet again) with the beautiful and sincere community here at CorePower; I can't speak highly enough about the environment and the yogis here. For years I said Yoga wasn't for me and I've joked that Corepower for seems to be the "McDonald's of Yoga". I'm not sure why I got that opinion, perhaps because the studios are everywhere. Then I actually tried Corepower Hot Yoga about 3 weeks ago and I'm addicted. Great class, great staff and a pleasant studio. I like corepower. The facilities are all lovely and clean. I get a great sweat. People are nice and friendly. They use essential oils in a spray bottle so it always smells nice in the studio. I've been to the Broadway location mostly but also Grant st., Stapleton, the Highlands, Colorado blvd. All were good experiences. I've come here for years. They sometimes have deals going on which is nice. It's convenient that you can go to any location so no excuse to not get your yoga into your day. Lots of classes and I love hot yoga in wintertime. Core power is really a primarily hot yoga spot. I didn't exactly realize that and I nearly passed out my first time! I wither in the heat. Only the beginner Yoga One class is not heated, but the room in general stays hot from previous classes. The classes are pretty full no matter the time. The studio is hip and clean and the vibe is very reminiscent of soul cycle- core power is the yoga version of the institution. The classes are really good- just hot- so be prepared! Their website is a little hard to follow when choosing a class. The broadway location is on a busy intersection and parking can be tough. read more

Another "In My Hood" Review. This was my introduction into Bikram yoga. The staff was polite and friendly, offering suggestions of what to do if/when I become nauseous. When I become nauseous? Scared me a little...but not enough. I proceeded inside, where it was about 100 degrees. It took me about 3 minutes to determine that this room was way too hot for me. Oohh and I was glad I hadn't just gotten my hair done, 'cause I would have run (not walked) right up outta there. About 5 minutes into my experience, I thought, "am I actually going to be able to work out in this heat?" I have a glow about my skin already, and I had just sat down. Hmmm. Then entered the yoga instructor. Calm, soothing voice coming from this petite little thing. I thought, "I can do this, she won't hurt me." 10 minutes in: It's frickin' hot. I can barely lift my arms (I was on a pushup/tricep mission earlier this week). And, it's frickin' hot - did I mention that? I think, "Good thing I'm by the door, because I may have to leave early", when the instructor softly mentions, "you have given yourself 90 minutes of time to yourself - embrace it." 90 MINUTES - I thought this was an hour class, and I was thinking of bolting after 30 minutes. I'm in trouble. Then my legs start shaking. This is challenging. At this point, I'm dripping sweat like I live in the Amazon and just ran a full sprint while being chased by a warthog. Damn, it's hot. But, I continue on, 'cause I'm competitive like that. No one else is bailing, I'm not bailing. I can do this. 20 minutes in: I'm sure I will pass out and die soon. My mind cannot focus on this breathing. I hear other people doing it, but I can't stop panting...'cause I'm hot. This is when she mentions it's only 103 degrees in the room, and usually her NY class is at 108. Awww, now she's talking shit. We can hang with NY. I'm staying. Then we were allowed a drink of water. Camel kicks in. Somehow, now, I don't feel like I will die anymore. Then a half hour passes, then an hour, then 75 minutes has passed and I realize I am having an experience. I can breathe. I don't notice the heat so much. I hear her voice but the sound of my breathing has taken over. Then I start to feel energized and powerful. Mind you, I can barely lift my arms at this point and I'm soaking wet, but my mind has opened and I feel empowered and grateful. 90 minutes later... I got it, and I was happy and felt good. I recommend this class to anyone and I'm super glad I had the experience at Corepower - the location is great. The staff is amazing - the teachers are powerful. It isn't just a workout...it's an experience. Oh, and your 1st week is free, and your 1st mat rental is free. read more

I go here all the time and love it! It's not for everyone - the classes are HOT! But the teachers I have met are awesome and I enjoy the energy of so many people doing yoga side by side. Highly recommend bringing a "mat towel" so you don't slip around on your mat from the sweat. Wish someone had told me this before I started! read more

I'm a Pilates instructor and personal trainer so I like my yoga to be mindful and powerful. I really like this place and have enjoyed all the teachers I've taken from. They are consistently reminding me of the practice and not just the workout, which is much needed for my MINDBODY connection. Make sure to bring your non-slip towel, a towel to dry off with, and lots of water. I would recommend a thicker mat-I have bad knees and I need a thicker mat for my knees in some of the poses. First off, I've noticed that the instructors at this location are much more into correcting your posture and are much more soothing. I am still looking for a great traditional Bikram studio but I am excited about the variety of classes Corepower has to offer. After quite a few running injuries, my doctor gave me the option to go for either physical therapy or to try yoga. I had tried yoga at my old gym before, but never really enjoyed it as much. Once I started going to CorePower, that all changed! The Broadway studio is great. It always feels very peaceful and calming there. The studio room is huge with mirrors, and there are different aromatherapy sprays to use. The locker rooms are very nice and spa-like. One of my favorite parts about CorePower Yoga is the variety in classes: Hot Yoga, Hot Power Fusion, Yoga Sculpt, Candlelight Yoga, Yin Yoga, and more! The Candlelight Yoga classes are incredibly relaxing. I find the classes to be both physical and spiritual. The Yoga Sculpt classes are an incredible workout - you do not need to go to the gym after going to one of those classes! Yoga Sculpt incorporates weights into yoga movements and also throws in some pylometrics. Yoga Sculpt in the morning + Candelight Yoga in the evening = AWESOME While I was initially unsure about the heat in the classes, now I love it. The heat really makes it easier to get those muscles moving! For those new to yoga or not looking for heated classes, they do have some unheated classes. The teachers are great and very approachable. They are always willing to help you with movements or just chat after class. read more

Moved here from Florida and Im used to HOT yoga. I liked the class and sequences, but went I asked questions about classes and if the classes were any hotter than what I attended that day.... I was then ostracized by the teacher who was the receptionist too. Also this place was not clean at all. I was so disappointed and was so hoping I would find a great place to practice. read more

Greed and avarice not yoga and karma. They pitch all of their over priced programs. Same music. Their boot camp is about quadruple everyone else in Denver. I know I attended 3 times. They act like they care but if you ever have a problem or need something no one is to be found. I emailed everyone on their web site about an issue and never got a single response. Someone else called this the McDonald's of yoga and how apropos. I also was over charged mulitple times on my auto membership. It was corrected but no without much grief.
